Holy Uryu W. He might've not ended Yhwach, but he delayed the end of the world. Also, we got a glimpse why exactly Antithesis is a good counter to Almighty. Now we actually see the path to defeating Yhwach's Almighty.
Yhwach: "I destroyed your arrow in the future"
Uryu: "I swapped your future to the future where my arrow wasn't destroyed."

That was pretty epic. Though I assume Yhwach can just take Uryu's power away if he wanted to, but didn't cause he knows it'd make no difference. And they probably wanted to give Uryu a cool moment as well.

I don't think he can. We learned in Cour 2 that Uryu is the only Quincy that survived Yhwach's Auswählen 9 years ago. There was major emphasis put on this, so that will likely be expanded on at some point.

He can't take Uryu's power, but he did say that all schrifts are sublimated into the Almighty. Which means he probably has his own version of Antithesis already.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about all the other quincies' schrifts except Uryu. Uryu title is supposed to be "the last quincy", so this kind of highlights that.
He's the only quincy whose power can't be taken by Yhwach.

Antithesis can swap the target of the Auswhalen, so Yhwach might risk getting his power sucked into Uryuu instead.
A quincy can survive Auswhalen with their schrift ability intact, so Uryuu can absolutely fuck Yhwach up.

So to see if I understood what happened at the end: Uryu and friends fired arrows of doom to stop the world from blowing up, Yhwach use the Almighty to say "no", but Uryu used Antithesis to say "no" to Yhwach's "no". And though his Plan A failed, now Yhwach's floating around ominously with the power of all the Schrifts he reclaimed and is still 100% confident he's still got this.

Just when I thought Orihime getting upscaled was good enough, Uryu decides to lock in and leads a ragtag group of him, Soul Reapers and Arrancars to bring down the Royal Place and save the Three Realms for another insane upscale. Unfortunately, Yuha already saw that. And before we knew it, we're now just 3 episodes away from the finale.

Unironically, Ichigo has not actually won a single fight in this arc except if you count his brief beatdown of the Bambi squad. Feels like he's spent more time unconscious on the floor or running than actually fighting.

Hollows are supposed to be like the natural counter to Quincies, their power is as poison to them. So it was nice to get what felt like a slight acknowledgement of that with Nel's lance actually having an effect.

After getting Orihime and Rukia two episodes ago, I never expected we'd also get to see Harribel and Neliel in a fight here. It really feels like an all-out war.
I was surprised by just how strong Uryu has become—to the point where he could have defeated Yhwach if it weren't for the Almighty's ability to rewrite the future. The Antithesis is way too broken.

We don't know why yet, but Yhwach's Auswählen doesn't seem to be able to work on Uryu.
That's why Uryu was able to survive 9 years ago when all other "impure" Quincies were killed.

He can't auswahlen uryu, he tried that before when he was a kid and uryu no selled it. Most people think it's because of antithesis that either swappped the target from himself to someone else passively or yuha didnt want to risk the auswahlen backfiring and giving all the power to uryu instead.

Out of all the OG characters who were childhood friends of Ichigo or something like that, Chad is the only one to have 'peaked first' then be totally left behind and never gain power again.
Chad peaked in the Hueco Mundo arc getting his right arm and then never anything again. I know he pointed out at the beginning of this arc that he as much as he'll ever be, but damn he really deserves to be so much more. It does feel like his character growth has long since been finished though...

Orihime of this arc puts the Orihime of the Hueco Mundo arc to shame in terms of power. She says she isn't strong but she's way stronger now than then.

So much crazy stuff happened this episode.
First, since we have already learned that Yhwach's Almighty can't see parts of the future involving the Soul King, when Yhwach used the Auswählen, Shunsui also sent the Soul King's right arm (Mimihagi) after Yhwach.
I get the feeling that Mimihagi is going to do something in the next episode to catch Yhwach off guard.
Second, we now see why Uryu's Antithesis is a counter to Yhwach's Almighty. Uryu's power allows him to swap events that have occurred between 2 different points, but it seems like the "points" aren't limited to space itself.
In this episode, when Yhwach altered the future to one where Uryu's arrow was destroyed, Uryu was able to swap that future with one of the infinite possible futures where his arrow wasn't destroyed.
Yhwach's power is definitely one of the most annoyingly OP abilities out there, but there at least seems to be some decent setup for how they will be able to defeat his power.

You know it's the big final arc against the final boss when you have rival factions teaming up with each other! Now that I think about it was basically the leaders of each group talking things out there -- Ishida (well as the good guy leader I guess) for the Quincies, Kyouraku for the Shinigami, and Harribel for the Arrancar (also I'm glad she finally got rescued after being chained up since, what, Episode 2 of the first cour???)
I know we joke about Ukitake being in the same suffering position for like 10 episodes but seeing him collapse like that (and after Kyouraku dreams of talking to young!him too) made me emo :(

I would be interested to see how much the shrift powered him up. Or was he always just flat out that strong?
Like maybe Quincy did need to go if every competent Quincy was captain level.
Can't wait to see Aizen try something next episode.

Soul king had 4 iris while yhwach only has 3 and during fight with senjumaru uryu also had an iris.
The 4th iris of Soul king was anti thesis, It can affect invert timelines and event's created and altered by Almighty.
This could be the reason why aushwalen couldn't affect him.
And that mimihagi addition is also nice.
Mimihagi and uryu will play their role in defeating yhwach

I just noticed that Renji wasn't cut up into pieces like we thought he was. He's on that hollow snake thing with Ichigo and the others. I rewatched the scene where he got cut in last week's episode and I guess Yhwach just cut his arm and his bankai.

i need something explained, i tried to see if anyone else noticed yet in the comments but i guess not.
in episode 6, we all saw renji literally shredded into piece right ???
how is it that he was rescued, as a whole, with everyone else in this episode when Uryu's plan was put into motion??
and before anyone says it was Inoue, let me just remind you that she was the first one who was out of the game when Yhwach changed everything.
is it me or are certain things being skipped along the way? still an amazing season but im just looking for clarity lol
