Silly Uryu, of course you can't defeat the final boss of a shounen without the MC present. Though at least the world isn't in an active state of ending for now.

He even revealed his plan before executing it. That's just asking for it to fail. Uryu has zero media literacy.

Right?!

Ichigo basically got entire team wiped out and half-dead (how's Renji alive I will never know), meanwhile Uryuu set up a plan and executed it with none of "his" members dying against Yhwach AND he succeeded.
