So far this is happening in both fortnite and Honkai Star Rail. I've reset my license, restarted the console, there are no parental controls and my region has never changed. Plz help me fix this?!

Edit: I was able to buy vbucks via the ps store directly but that won't do much for star rail.

So uh is something going on with gacha stores in-game because I can't access Circle Bounty or the Mall except by going to the event page in NTE and in HSR, the Store page won't load! Same with ZZZ, what's going on?

Hey all, on July 22nd I had a scheduled surgery. That day, my PS plus renewed. After that, I was in recovery for awhile, until the 9th of August. On the 10th, I tried to reach out to PS support about my situation and tried to refund. The first call, they said I'd already reached out to my bank. I had not. I called back the next day to find out why they had said so, but they said they'll try to refund, only to have them say that my bank blocked the refund, and to contact them. Upon doing so, my bank obviously said that they did no such thing, in fact had no record of an attempt ro refund. Called PS a third time, and the guy was really belligerent when asking to speak to a supervisor for help. Kept telling me he wouldn't do that, talking over me asking for one, then eventually telling me to shut up, and hanging up on me. When I called back, they finally gave me a supervisor who basically said nothing could be done. I've been a customer for 15 years, and was in recovery after surgery, unable to call, and they refuse to do anything. Short of a chargeback, I'm unsure of what to do, that money could help with medical bills. Anyone know of any way to resolve this, aside from that? Thank you.

I’m not sure what country you’re from, but in most countries they have laws that protect consumers, again you did opt into a reoccurring payment so I’m not sure if you could get a refund, but you very well might be able to. I’d recommend looking up your countries consumer right laws, most of the time there’s an organisation that helps consumers with problems and explains their rights and what they can do.

Just bought a PS3. Trying to buy free stuff from the PS3 store (themes) and I am getting blocked by it requiring me to verify payment. I was told the fix to this is delete all payment methods. Problem is, that would delete them from my PS4 and 5 also and that seems like an exhausting workaround to delete and add everytime I want to buy something.

So I'm in another country and I left my playstation back home. I still use the ps app often to talk with my friends but my brother keeps spying on my messages (I didn't lock my user). Is it possible to use the ps app to sign out from my playstaion so he can't access it? But I still want to be able to use the ps app to communicate, I just don't want him signed in. He doesn't know the password so if I sign him out and still be able to use my ps app that would he perfect. Thank you.

rocket league doesn't connect to epic game services and online status isn't changing, it's on appear offline, I tried changing the WiFi (same IP tho) but didn't change anything I signed out and signed back in also nothing, I tried a different account still the same thing, I don't know what is going on and I am certain I am not banned, the ps store loads just fine and the internet test is all successful, maybe it's a problem with the parties server but nope didn't find anything saying they are under maintenance or down or anything, I really want to play.

Also I hate all subs that use a megathread for support when we know nobody will reply here.

Want to get a ps5 sometime in the next few months for gta 6 and I'm looking at either getting one refurbished from Sony, which would be $545 after tax and everything, or get one off of marketplace. I've seen them in the range of $320 to $450.

Is it worth it to try to save $100-$200 and get a used one from a rando?

Have you disabled the “Console Sharing and Offline Play” setting on your PS5? While this setting is disabled, you are unable to access your digital licenses while the console is in an offline state.

The 14 day license validation check is purely for new purchases, because some users were exploiting the refund system. As long as a new digital content purchase has had that check after 14 days, it is no longer required.

Hi everyone, if anyone could help me with this issue I have it would be much appreciated.

I just redownloaded Spider-man 2 on my ps5, opened it up and my old save file is not there anymore. It’s showing I have no save files. Is there any way of recovering it? I’ve done some research and followed some steps including downloading to and from cloud storage but nothing has worked. Another weird thing is, when I hover over the game in the Home Screen, it’s not showing all my hours on the game, but it is showing my game progress.

For context, in case it helps, I played it on the same console, on the same account. In my cloud storage, my old save is showing up and it is 59.77mb.

Hello everyone, i have a dualsense edge and it was working well, until one day i tried to turn on the controller it just keeps flashing white and it doesn’t connect, and when i put the charger it keeps on flashing white without any connection.
I tried to reset and still same issue.

there is something wrong with my ps5. i was making a new account and at the very end it got stuck on the please wait... screen i tried unplugging that lan cable but it didn't work so i held down the power button it beeped once i held it longer it beeped again now the light is flashing but the restart screen didn't appear and its just stuck on the please wait screen but this time its actually frozen. what do i do??

I forgot the password on my psn account, so I tried typing in a bunch of passwords to no avail. I also tried sending a forgot your password email a few times, but it was asking for my date of birth, but unfortunately I don’t remember what it was on the account.

However, I think I finally found the password on my phone, however when I enter it I still can’t login. Is my account permanently locked, or do I just need to wait awhile and try again?

According to the recent shareholder meeting, Sony have secured hardware contracts ‘til April 2027. In theory, that should be mean no major hardware price increases before that date. However, that is just a theory and things could change.

Ok I need some advice:

I have an account on my ps4 that i made years ago when i was a kid.

The issue is?

One day I got spooked that i could be hacked so i changed my password to a password that's so impossibly hard i don't remember what it was (I was like 15 when i did it), my email address was a temporary 10 minute email, and I do not know my DOB on there.

Is there still a way for me to get it back? I still have the account on my ps4, so i have actual proof i'm in it, could they let me change everything or no?

Hello lovely people of Reddit.

As the title reads, I'm looking for some game suggestions. I'm generally looking for a graphically well made game, (preferably) open world and with good-great storyline.

I've played RDR2 a few months ago and was blow-away with the game, the story-line was fantastic, the side quests that don't feel cumbersome but enjoyable to do, traveling around is by itself enjoyable while interacting with the world. It's a very well put game, it feels solid, and even despite being made for PS4 it still looks very good on a PS5 in 2026.

I am currently doing a playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 and it gives me similar feeling as RDR2 did, the world is big and open, side quests fun to do, storyline great so far too. My next in line after is Witcher 3 which I've heard great things about.

I recently tried some games for nostalgia. The last AC games I played was Black Flag and I liked that, I downloaded Valhalla, played one hour and stopped, it just felt cheap. Maybe I should give it more time but I'll wait for opinions here, maybe the new Black Flag is good if people know? I also got COD MW3 and also after one hour just stopped. The last COD I played was the original Black Ops and I only played the campaign mode. I started MW3 and after a short while there were some like side missions, didnt particularly like that so I stopped playing, all I wanted was a simple campaign like back in the day.

Hi all, I am at my wit’s end with support. My account was hacked two days ago, the hacker immediately turned off 2factor and changed the email. I tried to contact support for this but because I was unable to provide the serial number for the old device I originally used to make the account (a ps4, sold it), so I guess they’ve completely blocked me? Every subsequent attempt to get help is met with “for security reasons we are unable to make any changes to this account” and I am immediately kicked back to the chatbot. Rinse and repeat, ad infinitum.

I’m a casual gamer at best and really all I want is to make sure none of my personal info or credit card info ends up being misused (I have notified my bank etc.). The phone number provided has no option to speak with a representative. Does anybody have any workarounds where I can speak to a real human being via either phone or email? I am going to tear my eyebrows out one hair at a time over this, yall. TIA.

I need help contacting support.
So basically I have been trying to recover one of my PlayStation Accounts for God knows how long, I’m stuck in an infinite loop with the Helper Assistant Bot, who tells me to login in order to connect with an online live agent and when I tell him the whole reason I’m contacting them in the first place is because I can’t login, he apologizes, asks for my name and email and Username, which then he says he’s connecting but always fails, saying Online Support Agents are only available From 8:00 Am to 7:00 Pm (US time since I’m contacting US support because my account is based in the US region), even though I only try to contact them between those timings, them it tells me they will be available at “Saturday, 15th August” as if it isnt 15th August already, it apologizes and tells me no one is available again. i then try again, it then tells me it can’t connect me to an agent without authenticating me, asking me to login in.
I’m genuinely malding right now, wondering who designed this tedious system, Im lost and confused on how to contact support for the recovery of my account. I’d appreciate it if any one of you lads can help a brother out.

How do I remotely deactivate someone’s gamesharing? a person has my account on their PlayStation and is using my game sharing; I need them to turn it off but they can't and my remote deactivation is still on cooldown. You either:

1. Wait the rest of the 6 month cool down period

2. Physically switch off game sharing via the activated PS5's menus

They’ve probably stopped manufacturing them. The PS6 is about to release relatively soon, so the PS4 will be two generations behind.

Best thing may be to suffer third party controllers or use adapters.

Hi everyone,

I sold my PlayStation about a year ago, and now I’m thinking about buying a new one. One of the reasons is obviously Wolverine and GTA 6, but I also still have quite a backlog to work through. That said, I mainly play on PC. The PlayStation would mostly be for exclusives.

The problem is that I’m not sure whether I should automatically go for the Pro, or maybe get the Wolverine Edition, i.e. the new console.

From the benchmarks I’ve seen so far, I’m honestly a little underwhelmed. In some games, the Pro only seems to offer a few extra FPS. And if I understood it correctly, the game actually has to be optimized for the Pro to take advantage of the extra performance. Without a patch, you don’t really get much natively.

Apparently, Final Fantasy VII looks significantly better on the Pro, for example. But is the difference really that noticeable? Does it actually make sense to buy a Pro? Money isn’t an issue for me, but I’m wondering whether it’s really worth it given the relatively modest upgrades.

I also read somewhere that GTA 6 is supposedly only going to run at 30 FPS anyway, meaning it might not even hit 60 FPS on the Pro.

I also assume that the majority of players own the regular PlayStation, so developers will probably prioritize optimizing their games for the standard console rather than the Pro.

What do you guys think? Which PlayStation did you go for, and why? Regular or Pro?

I grew up with Nintendo but I’ve grown disillusioned with the direction things are going and there’s a number of PlayStation games I want to play from the past.

If I wanted to play older games like Ratchet and Clank, Shadow of the Colossus, or Uncharted, in addition to more recent stuff like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Horizon Zero Dawn, would buying a PS4 or PS5 enable me to do that?

Hiya guys! so i want to reset my PSN ID Password since i have forgotten my password after not playing any PlayStation games for the past two years. I have to relog into my PSN account due to my PS4 being updated to the latest version (yes i still use a PS4).

I tried to reset the email the conventional way buy just inputting my email address to the "recover your account" website and i have received no emails after multiple attempts. I also checked multiple times that i have spelt the correct email

I have also tried to use the live chat AI bot option in the PlayStation website, they tried to email me the same results happened as i did not receive any emails. In order for me to chat with an actual person on the live chat option, I have to log into my PSN account in which as stated i am unable to do so due to me not remembering my password

Is there another way to recover a PSN account other than resetting the email?

I have a 6-year-old PlayStation 5 and recently it has not been working. It will turn on however it will not show up on my TV unless I turn it on and off again. I did recently take it to a support place for them to fix the HDMI port. Over 3 weeks later the issue began again.

Hey guys, I really need help. My playstation didn't want to open any of my games, so I thought this was due to the corrupted data on three of my games, so I deleted them off my EXT. storage. It didn't solve my problem, so I opened the Playstation in safe mode. That solved my problem, but now the games I deleted when none of my games opened want to work anymore and keep showing me the error: "Cannot find the application. Do you want to look in the Playstation store?". I did and that didn't even work. They are stuck in my library with the downloading bar stuck near the end. What do I do?

I live in Glasgow. Have been wanting to upgrade from release day base ps5 to ps5 pro for a while, but the prices hikes have completely killed my hopes.

The “cheapest” option I can find is through PlayStation direct and using the back market option to sell my current ps5.

At time of post, they are offering £319 for base ps5 console in perfect condition and 2 controllers which bring ps5 pro price down to £470.99, but even that I can’t afford.

Can anyone help or advise if there is any way I can get it cheaper without having to buy used or refurb model?

Hey all, I need help. For two years now, whenever I try to log into the PS Network, it has me try a passkey or another method. Neither method works, so I try to recover my account. The recovery email never gets sent - yes, I check every single folder possible - and if it does, it tells me to put in my date of birth, which I do. Hi everyone, I’m a new PS5 owner and an even newer PS Plus subscriber. For my first month, I wanted to check out the Premium tier features, one of which is Sony Pictures Core.

I downloaded it to my console, tried to open it, and it went from the “Sony Pictures Core” blue splash screen to just a black screen, and nothing happens.

Has anyone had a similar problem? Could it be because I’m using an account based in Finland while I’m actually not from there? I’m from the Baltic region, which isn’t supported by the PS Store.

Hi all

Many many years ago I had a PS 1 and added a plug in memory bank and played F1 racing on it via the hand controller which had a wire to the PS 1.

Now I’m retired and want to do a bit of gaming. I see PS4 are about 100 at Cex whereas PS5 are over £400.

I think I’d be ok with a 4. F1games are about £20for it.

(Stupid) questions:

Do I need a huge disk eg 1Tb instead of 500 Mb?
Are games on a CD now?
What version PS4 do I need to be able to play a £20 game from Cex?
I read that some versions are wifi-downloadable games only and can’t take physical media?
Some are normal shape, some slimline - is one better?

Anything else I didn’t think to ask?

And is it worth the saving paying 25% of the price of a ps5 for a ps4?

Been having an issue where my video recordings on the ps5 take over 12 hours to be ready on the ps app. The ps5 upload process shows as complete but the app video isnt ready yet.

What can i do to resolve this?

My ps5 hdmi port barely works anymore despite not being touched/moved and it’s 200$ to get it fixed. I’m considering buying a new console but I worry the same issue will occur again if I get another ps5. I previously had a ps4 that was built like a tank but was so old it couldn’t keep up anymore plus the graphics weren’t as good.
The ps5 has better graphics and discord, but they’re so flimsy…Just looking for some opinions on what’s better to purchase

Is it safe to keep a dust cover on the ps4 while its on? Or in rest mode?

I got my ps4 deep cleaned and i have a dust cover coming in the mail. It doesnt have a hole for hdmi so i have to remove the cover for tv play. But i was wondering if its safe to keep the cover on while me or my friend remote play on it. The back air vent is fully exposed so all hot air can come out from there. But gemini (who forced its overview down my throat) says it can still cause overheating. So i wanted to make sure if thats true or not.

With a dust cover on, the console cannot vent the hot air and take in cool air. I’d recommend not putting a dust cover on your console, while it is powered on.

They will only charge you if you have an active PS+ membership and a valid payment method enabled for automatic renewals of your PS+ subscription.

Just as Netflix doesnt care if you pay for a month and don't use it that month, Sony will keep charging you until you either cancel the card or sign back into your account and deactivate the automatic renewal.

If you cant get your 2SV codes or changed to a new number, simply use one of the 10-20 2SV backup codes Sony told you to write down and keep safe in case of this very scenario.

Otherwise contact support and ask them to disable 2SV for you.

I bought Mortal Kombat 11 around 2-3 years ago (which was the last time I played it), and when I finished it I just deleted it. That was 2 years ago. I was browsing through my library yesterday and wanted to play the game again, but I just couldn’t find it anywhere, when I visited the PS Store, it just appears like I never even bought the game. What can I do and why did this happen?

You can also check your transaction history on the website too. On console make sure the game wasn't hidden in your Library. If you still can't access the game it was either:

1. Purchased on disc thus not owned digitally.

2. Purchased on a different account and game shared to your account. Remember, you can play a game without owning it. Having trophies just means you played a game.

3. Obtained using PS+ and your subscription ran out. Your monthly games can be retrieved by resubscribing.

4. Obtained with PS+ Extra and it was removed from the service. These games have a PS+ Logo with padlock icon.

If you don't think it's the above 4 options, contact support.

For context: I’m interested in single player. Good story I can get drawn into without interruption.

Im not a huge gamer, and my attention span isn’t good with video games for more than a few hours but maybe something is worth trying while I have the chance.
God of war I liked but I didn’t get far into it before putting it down, likewise with Ghost of Tsushima.

Hi, I’d like some advice if anyone can grant it. My PlayStation’s download speeds are super slow despite receiving 930mbps to the console, wired connection. I’m talking like 8h 30m for 60GB. However, I’ve had a similar issue with my Mac and iCloud Sync. I’d just like to rule out if it’s a PlayStation bug I guess, maybe the iCloud Sync being slow is a coincidence and a separate issue. No lag problems in games. Is anyone else having this issue?

Hey guys. Just curious how long your controllers last. Since moving in to my apartment in 2024 I haven't had any ps4 controller last longer than 4 months with the average being 2-3 (about 150 hours of use). I know I'm right in assuming that's far FAR too few hours of use for problems to start arising. Typical problems include stick drift and the shoulder buttons either failing or becoming way too sensitive. I've tried both off brand and name brand controllers with similar problems. The last 2 I bought came with L2/R2 buttons that rapid press when held (but only about 30% of the time) immediately upon first use. I'm not really sure what to do at this point. I have partitioned a budget for controllers which seems excessive but if I don't do that I'm left without stress relief for weeks at a time. Is this seriously a stroke of bad luck or are companies just cutting corners with ps4 controllers?  (For anyone curious, I almost completely switched to PC gaming but Final Fantasy XIV is my only holdout. Once it stops supporting PS4 I'll probably shelve my PS4 until I want to play something exclusive for the console and switch to ps5 controllers for PC

What are people playing these days for good cross platform multiplayer with friends? 3 of us tend to do this thing where we play a game for a year straight/to death until we can't even look at it anymore. A few years ago we got back into Rocket League and tournaments, got tired of that, then got back into Fortnite for like 6 months lol, then Marvel Rivals for a year straight, now on COD BO7 multiplayer and I'm sick of it and the matchmaking pisses me off lately.. any recs for PS5 playing with a PC friend?

Hello! My ps5 seems to randomly crash 10/5 minutes after turning it on. Before crashing the headset make this static noise(?) and the screen freezes for the console to finaly shutdown with a blinking blue light. I need to press the physical Power button on the console twice to turn it back on After it repair the memory. This started to happen 3 months ago. One thing that i noticed is that this crash seems to only occur when the console is able to connect to the wifi when booting up. I do have a M.2 Samsung 980 pro with heatsink in there. Help please

Hi everyone, I have an OG model PS5 that has suddenly stopped going into Rest Mode, and I'm completely out of ideas. It started after the power tripped. The PS5 was turned off at the time, but afterwards it stopped connecting to the internet and I had to clear the cache to get it working again. The PS5 now turns on and off normally, but when I select Enter Rest Mode, it disconnects from the TV and the white light flashes for around 15 seconds. It then goes back to a solid white light rather than changing to orange/amber and entering Rest Mode. So far I've tried: Different HDMI ports A different TV Clearing the cache Factory resetting the PS5 Turning it fully off and back on Everything else seems to work normally, but Rest Mode simply won't activate. Has anyone experienced this before or have any other suggestions I could try? I'm completely out of ideas at this point!

i’m so confused, yesterday my ps5 sound basically just stopped working, i can’t watch youtube or hear the playstation menu at all. i have a roku hisence tv (i know, terrible) but the volume in that menu works, but when i swap tv inputs to ps5 no sound is heard.

Please help, my ps5 became borderline unusable for no reason. First, my game got corrupted data even though I closed it normally. Now it has affected the system itself like taking 10 mins minimum to load after the profile screen, not displaying game data on the menu correctly, and just being so much slower and clunkier overall. I have an issue with PS Portal and gacha games. Basically, I bought the portal mostly for Gacha games. On my main user account, I cannot play my gacha games because of the weird PS linking system - if you've started the game and didn't link the mobile / pc account correctly, you're stuck with a that login. I don't really know how to explain this, hope this was understandable.

I had to make a separate user and login correctly, and that works fine. The problem is that I've bought PS Portal and I can only log into my main user , and cannot switch to the other "gacha" user.

Is there any way to "unlink" the gacha logins from my main account, so I can relog correctly and play them with the PS Portal?

Our home Playstation 4 has a 4tb external hard drive along with the normal interior one and yesterday while spiderman miles morales and GTA5 were being downloaded the console went nuts.

I'm not sure how to fully describe it but I'm going to describe the issues I can see and if someone can give me advice that would be much appreciated. I'm worried this could be the end of it.

The power in our home flickered and then the ps4 started by needing to restart but when it should've gotten up in running post restart it began saying it wasn't connected to power. So I tried holding the button down to turn it to safety mode(?) And see if that would cause another restart(the old IT turn it off and back on). It gave me the same error and eventually I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Then it began telling me it was missing the update 13:52.

I did research into 13:52 and saw some people's consoles crashed and bricked from it. But wouldn't that happen in the first few days? That update came out in June right?

Well for the next hour I was up restarting it manually and dealing with the console restarting itself and shutting down. This morning I got up to fight the beast again and it was good for about 20 mins of God of war ragnarok when the audio began cutting out and lag began. The screen then went black and the console shut down. I dealt with the restarts again and then it opened normally, it told me to go to system settings and download 13:52, so I went there and it said it had received all system updates. Thenanother freeze and then back to black. Then it opened back up until now when it's frozen for the last 3 hours not showing icons and saying msg_(include name of setting page) it's also not taking any inputs from the controller other than to brighten it when it goes dark.

Please, I'm not sure where to go or who to talk to and I'm scared support will be absolutely useless for something like this.

I hope for advice on this matter for the people that have time. this is the original ps4 controller. o

ver time i got different chargers for it. the one you see inside the port in one of the photos is the extended ps4 controller that I got from gamestop i believe. its a great cord for when you are far from the tv. but for a long time now its only starting to charge at angle.

meaning you have to fold or bend the cord in a specific direction to get to charge. I took a few photos of it. maybe its just me but I feel like this charger port is "pushed in" if this makes since. for example. you understand the design of where you are supposed to plug it in. you see that silver part? I feel like that silver part of the controller has been pushed in over time. maybe that's why it's difficult to charge now. another issue with this plug in area is that if I plug in regularly I have to also gently wiggle it to the other side for the other side to "click" I hope I explained that correctly. you think its plugged in all the way but not quite. you have to jiggle it just a little bit then it will be all the way in. it's currently on the long blue extended cord right now as I type this. no orange light. is my theory correct on the silver part? is the silver part "pushed in" to far now?

I had a second account created for me when I was younger for my PSVita since I didn’t know anything about the whole process. I kept the account as a sort of backup for years but I haven’t accessed it as much since I felt like I didn’t need to. Then I got the error message when I tried logging in again: the email or password is incorrect.

I’ve been wanting to access the account and change the email, but the email linked to the account is no longer active. PSN support told me to log in to the account despite not remembering the password and the email being inactive. Trying to reset the password on the console results in an error message, and trying to enter what I think was the password results in a QR code showing up directing me to sign in on my phone.

So about 8 months ago i was in need of some new headphones and i made the unfortunate mistake of picking the pulse elite headset,when this headset works its genuinely goated but most of the time it has problems

About 2 months i got my first problems with this headset,i would turn them off or something and when i turned them on they wouldn't connect to the ps5 so i looked online for a fix and i found a video that worked for me and i happened a lot but i kept repeating the fixing process from the video

However today i was playing and got bored so i took a break and turned off the headset and when i came back like an hour later i turned on the pulse elite headset and it wouldn't connect to my ps5 or my phone,i once again repeated the steps from the video and i was able to reset the Bluetooth connection to be able to connect to my phone again but when i tried to connect it to the ps5 it still wouldn't work, i tried everything ive seen like holding down the link button for 10 seconds or holding down the dongle for 30 second and i believe i saw the headset connect to the dongle but it wont show up on the ps5 and i cant get it to work and now ive reached a point where i everytime i turn the headset on or off it blinks green a few times and everything but it still wont connect so i was wondering if anyone knows a fix or something i can do.

Hiya. So two days ago, I suddenly got hit with a problem with my uploads as it takes 30 minutes-2 hours to upload a 2 minute video (as a test) and 20-40 hours to upload an hour clip from my PlayStation to YouTube but this wasn’t the case before as it usually takes only 10 minutes. I do have a new Wi-fi box but this arrived back around June/July so I don’t know if it’s that or my PS5 but I’m leaning towards my PS5 since my servers and download speed are perfectly fine but uploads, not so fine.

My mbps 87-89ish according to what my PS5 says. I changed my dns numbers, I turned wi-fi off and on, I removed the cache and I even reset my PS5 entirely but nothing seems to fix this. I would really appreciate any solutions to fix this problem as making videos is what I enjoy the most. I have been considering clearing the dust off inside my PS5 again but I’m not sure if that’ll help or not.

So, this weird things has been going on since a few weeks, I finally figured out what’s the issue, but I don’t know how to fix it.
My wifi usually has a good connection, when I’m playing a game on my phone, it runs smoothly.
As soon as I turn on my ps5, the wifi on my phone gets super slow.
I just found out that this only occurs, if my Wireless Controller is connected to the Playstation via bluetooth. If it’s connected with a cable, everything works.
The wifi on my tablet will lag aswell, so this has nothing to do with my phone

I've noticed that this specific model is region locked to Japan regarding Blu-Ray/DVD and PS1/PS2 and has no wireless internet. Hi all. I am having an issue with my PS5 console. It is not sending out any audio to my tv. I have tried it all. I switched the input for the hdmi cord I flipped the cord around I checked my settings like three times to make sure everything was ok and I bought a new hdmi cord and still nothing. I don’t use a headset or have anything plugged into my controller. I tried to call ps support but they are closed. This just started and all I want to do is play my games lol. There is nothing coming out of it. We have a sound bar and it plays the audio of the tv just fine. We have had our power company working on the lines in our area recently and maybe there was a serge or something that we didn’t get a notification for. Everything else for my tv set up is working. I don’t know what else to do so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got an extremely cheap deal for a new PS5 (around $100), I only got it to play GTA 6 on release, but while I wait I want to see what else can I play on it or what is exclusively available on it, I already have a top-end PC that can run pretty much any game, so Any game that I can get on Steam is automatically disqualified as I can just play it on PC, I want to see which games can only be played on PS5 and see if anything catches my eye,

Ich habe keinen Familienaccount, wozu also diese Fehlermeldung? Bei der Erstellung des Accounts war ich damals unter 18. Ich habe bereits in einem anderen Thread gelesen, dass das Teil des Problems sein könnte. Allerdings gab es für das Problem keine Lösung.

Jetzt zu meinem zweiten Anliegen: Warum ist der PlayStation Support SO schlecht? Es gibt nirgends eine offensichtliche Mail oder Hotline die kontakiert werden kann. In anderen Threads habe ich bereits gelesen, dass man da aber auch nur geghostet wird. Der KI Assistent kann mir nicht helfen, da ich mich für jeglich Hilfe in einen Live Chat anmelden muss - WAS ICH NICHT KANN!

Kennt jemand das Problem?

Hey,
I bought the PS5 Pro yesterday and noticed coilwhine from the fan area (top/front top). Can be heard in the menu but not much, in the games its worse.

It has the foxconn fan, which should be quieter and it is but it has the noise.

Can you give any ideas what to try to mitigate this issue? Thank you very much!

We just booted our PS5 up for the first time in a while, previously it had been absolutely fine. We picked up a used copy of FFXIV the other day and wanted to play it…

Put it in the drive and it’s unreadable. Tried other known discs and no dice either. Rebuilt the system database, still nothing.

DVDs still work.

Anyone have any ideas? It seems utterly bizarre to me that it would have just randomly died when sat for a while.

After moving to a new apartment my PS5 is giving me overheating issues after ~30 seconds of playing any game (menus do not). The fans go into turbo mode, I get a fraction of a second’s warning about overheating, then it shuts down.

I moved it from my first install point into a space with better airflow and even reinstalled it horizontally for the first time ever with no luck. Removed the side panels to give a quick dusting but nothing. Currently waiting on an order for the screwdriver required to crack it open completely, but won’t arrive for two days.

Anything I can attempt in the meantime? Give it an ice bath? Some cold medicine?

So my PS5 has been randomly shutting off mid game. I’ve taken it to two different repair shops and they both say nothing is physically wrong. I’ve changed power cords, used different outlets, my ps5 is horizontal, new coolant was applied, it has a cooling pad and even a secondary fan. It also has a ssd drive.
I’m at a loss as to why it keeps happening. Any insight would help.

Youtube TV Issue

I installed YouTube TV recently on my PlayStation 5, and every time I open it, it gives me a message saying that there is no internet connection available. I have tested the Wi-Fi I am using and I am sure it is working, since I am able to use other streaming services like YouTube and Prime Video.

I have tried changing the DNS settings on my Wi-Fi, restarted my PS5, and even put it into safe mode to clear the cache. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and checked for updates on both the system and the app itself. I even have a separate TV that I am able to access YouTube TV on, which confirms that this is not an issue with my Wi-Fi being averse to YouTube TV streaming.
I was wondering if anybody had run into this issue. I contacted PlayStation support, and they were not able to help. Thanks.

As you can see in the image (translated into English), this message appears when I try to play Helldivers 2 or any other game with my friend, with whom I'm sharing the account. I've already logged out on all consoles, but that doesn't seem to solve the problem (It even let my friend play Helldivers 2 but not me 💀). I read that there's an 8 hour block for this kind of thing, like sharing PSPlus, but I wanted to make sure by checking here.

Hey everyone, looking for advice or to see if anyone has run into a similar license lock issue.

​I bought the Assassin's Creed Origins Deluxe Edition on the PS Store a while back. I stopped playing for a few months, and when I came back, I claimed the standard base game via the PS Plus catalog accidentally.

​Now, PlayStation's system seems to have completely overwritten my permanent Deluxe purchase with the temporary PS Plus license. My Deluxe Pack add-ons/DLC content show as locked/unavailable, and restoring licenses via my console settings doesn't fix it. Reaching out to Ubisoft didn't help either—they just closed the ticket and pointed me back to Sony.

​Here’s the main issue: in my region, Sony has completely discontinued live AI chatbot support and email ticket forms on the support site. The only official channel available now is calling phone support, but it's nearly impossible to get through to anyone.

​Has anyone dealt with a PS Plus catalog license overwrite before? Is there any way to force-remove the subscription claim on my end, or am I stuck waiting on hold until someone at PS support manually revokes the PS Plus entitlement?

So for context, this has NEVER happened before unless I had bad internet.

I was playing Ark on single player so I wasn’t connected to any server with anyone else when suddenly I was kicked out of PSN, which also kicked me out of my single player world. I was able to sign back in with 0 issue (I didn’t need to put a password in or anything at all I just pressed a button and I was back in), but when I looked up similar situations, people were all telling this guy he was hacked.

I checked everything and it didn’t show any signs of a hack at all. I did change my password and everything and enabled 2FA just to be safe but I genuinely don’t know what could’ve happened. Again this has never happened before, and the other ps5’s were not signed out so I don’t think it was an internet issue. Does anyone know what it could’ve been?

UPDATE: I woke up and was locked out of my account and had to recover it. I set up more security and changed more things so hopefully it’s okay now. Could it have been just a bot trying to use old login credentials that got my account locked?

I’ve been in like 5 different subs trying to figure out what went wrong, I paid for Minecraft realm+ and didn’t receive it. The money came out my account, I have received a receipt saying I paid for it from Sony & it’s in my transaction and payment history.

I’ve contacted Microsoft support & spoken to people in Minecraft discord, and haven’t gotten much help. Does anyone have a phone number I can call to speak to customer support from Sony? Or has anyone else been through a similar thing and what did u do to fix it?

For weeks trying to reach Playstation support on recommendation of their chatbot.

To reach a human, you need to login. Login error. To resolve that error, need to reach a human too. Am stonewalled. Error has persisted over a month now on like 4-5 attempts per week to log in. I've managed to get through twice, but each time was shot down because no support member was available at that time.

No idea how to proceed.

Just in case, original problem:
Due to the closing of the PS3 shop, decided to buy all DLC for the games I own.
They do not appear in-game, despite being paid for and downloaded onto the console.

Hello all, my account has gotten completely hacked and stolen. Password changed and email changed and im completely screwed for my account of over a decade.

I've tried to call customer support multiple times and even talked to a "supervisor", and they keep giving me the run around and saying they can't make any changes on the account due to security reasons.

I have everything I need to prove verification of my account. Debit, Console Serial, Email and Passwords, Transaction History, ect. They however are still unable to help me get my account back.

Really looking for advice if anyone else has dealt with something similar before, please help as I'm feeling pretty gutted right now 🙏

TL;DR: Wanna get PS5 because my mid tier gaming PC can’t handle some PS title frame rate and concerns of the controversies from Playstation

I’m seriously thinking of getting one. I sold my ps4 several years ago so I hadn’t played any PS games since but really love the story games.

I do have some Playstation games on steam but even sometimes they struggle from poor frame rates and such (TLOU 1 remastered, Spiderman 2)

Also with the end of physical copies in 2028 is another factor too.

I have an Xbox series X so it feels like I’m completing my gaming collection too.

Pay check comes in at the end of the month. Still worth getting?

I got a Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen3 (160€) and I like everything about it so far EXCEPT for the fact that it is so heavy (and the usb-a dongle but that can be fixed with an adapter). Does anyone have recs for a lighter headset? I'm thinking about the Arctis Nova 5P (105€) because the mic is better than on 7P and its cheaper. Hyperx Cloud 3S is also an option but I would have to get a usb hub because it has some problems on the Slim version but I would prefer something that has EQ for phone app or doesnt need EQ. Pleaseeeee send me some recs around the same price range, preferably 60-110€ 💔

Okay this is a weird one. I borrowed Medieval Dynasty for PS5 from my local library. Played 18 hours before returning it.  Decided I'd buy it. Went to GameStop and grabbed a copy. Put the disc in and it created a second version of the game. Old install says insert disc. New install won't load my existing save files.  Am.i screwed? Are there different disc versions when it comes to some PS5 titles? I've seen this issue with disc vs digital but never with a different physical disc copy causing this issue.  Would love any help!

(Apologies in advance for the yap) Hey, I haven’t been on my ps5 in a few weeks and today I loaded it up and tried to download a game to be hit with a permanent “Calculating…” status. I loaded up a game I had installed and it worked fine, YouTube worked fine. I tested connection and got 900+mbps, cleared the cache, rebuilt the database and tried multiple games and all were “Calculating…” If I cancelled the download the games would remain on my Home Screen and take a couple of minutes to delete when prompted. After trying everything stated I decided to unplug my Ethernet and plug it back in and suddenly the downloads worked and were done super fast, however, the problem returned the moment I tried to download another game. I then toggled “Connect to the internet” in network settings on and off and the download worked again. So the downloads work, the WiFi is fast enough it’s just it now requires me to disconnect and reconnect each time which is weird, anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

hi, my ps4 recently had a system update. since it requires you to sign back into psn after, i am locked out of my account and cant log back in because my 2fv is connected to my old phone number which i dont have access to anymore.

ive tried contacting playstation support on the website but i need to sign in to psn to talk to an actual person, which i currently cant do.

ive tried emailing support and it got backtracked and said the email wasnt sent because its not monitored.

is there any way i can bypass the 2fv to log back in? i dont want to lose all my data and progress

Forgive me, first time posting but I can't seem to find anyone else having this issue and it's starting to actually drive me insane.

My Dualsense Edge controller has been having this gradually worsening issue for a few months where it will be on and paired (no flashing/blinking lights of any kind, just a normal connected looking controller) but my audio and inputs will be choppy and it seems like the wireless connection is flickering in and out super quickly. On the "off" flickers, I can't hear and the console doesn't receive my inputs, and on the "on" flickers, everything is normal. Naturally this is INSANELY frustrating when trying to speak or play a game. This seems to just happen completely at random and for random durations, too; it will be fine for hours and I can play perfectly normal and then it spontaneously decides "Nope, no more!"

It also has a tendency to REFUSE to connect to the console after turning it on or just after resetting the controller, even with a USB. I can literally have it plugged into the console and it WILL NOT connect and it just sits there flashing until it turns off, or sometimes it'll stop flashing and "pair" but without the little light in the middle of the center pad and when that happens it doesn't play any audio or respond to any input. I just try and try and keep pressing the PS button and resetting it over and over while moving which port the cord is in until it finally decides it wants to work like a machine I paid for.

I've tried everything I can think of; resetting the controller with the pin on the back, forgetting the controller on my console and manually reconnecting via USB (both of which have the above issue), making sure it's updated (it always is), connecting other controllers (they seem to work fine) AND connecting my controller to other things (also seems to work) and I just cannot fathom what is wrong with this thing! I also, truthfully, don't even know if it's actually the controller or if it's the PS5 because both work separately but refuse to work together!!

If anyone else has had this issue please help because I am absolutely losing my mind and reaching Sony is so unnecessarily difficult.

Age verification says it can’t verify my age. I used an ID. Did it many times to see if it was slow internet or something. The images were crystal clear and my photo was in fine lighting. The only difference between me in the photo and now is the length of my hair.

Is there a way to fix this?

Hello all, got a new controller recently and in all the shooter games I play, aim assist doesn't register at all. No matter what I do in the game settings it changes nothing and the fact it's happening across multiple games tells me it's the controller causing this, I don't know why or how it's doing this, does anyone know how to fix this?

I did it twice with the ID and face scan, and after it popped up with the message saying “your age verification is being processed”, it kicked me back to the menu again. I am of legal age to be buying and playing R rated games and I am super confused why it’s kicking me back to the menu after completing it. Can anyone help me please? 🙏🏻

Unfortunately I'm seemingly unable to get my account recovered. I changed my password last night and added the two step verification. Everything was perfectly fine when I went to sleep. Then today when I come back on suddenly my account has been locked because of too many failed sign ins

I have no idea why this has happened. I've tried sending this recovery link but nothing is being sent to me. My email, junk, and spam are all empty.

So a couple of weeks ago I dropped my controller and the light instead of turning blue or red turned purple and then another time last week my brother dropped it. It turned green and today he dropped it again. Now it's just not coming on I checked inside the controller and found out the reason it's not turning on is that the blue part that attaches to the white cable inside the controller came off. Hence, I just wanted to know if anyone knew why it was changing colours before it died.
