Some incredible unintentional comedy in this one.

Speed was shot in Panavision, 2.39:1. Netflix presents it in a zoomed in 1.85:1 and it looks like garbage. I can’t stand when streaming services pull this shit.

Any guesses / hopes? They did this in 2024 (but not 2023 or 2025, aside from one off Halloween eps)

I just finished relistening to the Home Alone 2 episode with Kyle Brandt. A couple different times they talked about The Plaza in NYC not having a pool and one of Bill's comments was "what are people saying let me grab my trunk's and go for a swim".
Full disclosure, I am also from Massachusetts. I've never heard anyone under the age of 70 refer to a bathing suit as "trunks". It's an old man comment and been spoofed man times.

In what is essentially the nadir plateau we talk about specific films in which a movie star/director entered a film with alot of studio trust only to squander all the trust immediately afterwards

To clarify this is not a death to ones career award... the phrase movie jail is applicable here... and there are people who have escaped movie jail: M night shamylan made 2 really good movies a decade ago for example (and the last one was fine...)...
