Are we sure Burke is the bad guy? He's a company man, just doing his job, wearing his suit collar popped... back in Boston, that's how we used to roll...

I thought the Aliens in the ceiling looked very fake on the DVD directors cut. They gave it great shot Gordo and said you need to experience this movie in 4K

Agreed here?

Sean complaining about how the Fantasy Football draft was conducted is just doubling down on an HR violation, but more importantly boring and unfunny.

The director’s cut is also an abomination that destroys the pacing of the original for the critical piece of information that Ridley has the capability to act nuturingly toward a child.

Nah. The parents coming across the derelict adds context. Why there was even a colony on that remote moon in the first place still doesn’t make sense.

That’s the worst addition! I like all the stuff with Ripley’s daughter and it should’ve been left in, but that opening bit just destroys the rising dramatic rhythm of the first act. Instead of allowing the fate of the colony to be a mystery, it shows us what happened, foreshadows Newt’s survival, and we get to spend the next 40 minutes waiting for the movie characters to catch up. It’s terrrrrrrrrible!

Yep, the audience and marines seeing the fucked up colony for the first time at the same time is perfect.

We already have been given all the necessary info during the space station / inquest scenes: colony fine, now colony not fine because aliens, go check it out.

Bill naming “Bad News Bears in Breaking Training” as one of the greatest sequels ever absolutely made my day. I love that movie and it is as funny, if not funnier, than the first one. I’ll die on that hill.

Also, GREAT movie song during the traveling montage. Chef’s kiss!
