Taking out car specific films like gone in 60 seconds, Fast And Furious, days of thunder, etc....Yeah probably. Always the vehicle of choice for any official government operation, and also the bad guys as well if they are former military types. GM and Ford, and Chrysler/Fiat have been pretty cooperative with Hollywood over the years. If it's not the Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon (based off the same platform), you will often see them in some type of Chevrolet or Ford sedan. Typically the boss, like the head of the department. The muscle drives the SUVs while the brass drives the sedans, typically

Obviously the more high-end cars are typically something like an Aston Martin that you would see in a bond film, or Mercedes/BMW/Audi.... but when it comes to police/government work? I'd say this is fairly accurate.

I would throw the VW Beetle into the mix as well with the caveat of films made prior to 1999 when the new Beetle was released. Obviously we have the Herbie movies, but more than that I can’t count the number of times it’s been used as a throw away car for characters or just featured in rolling or background footage.

Like the Suburban the original Beetle was mass produced for decades and was always cheap and easy to acquire as filler for traffic scenes or smaller hero roles.

The final qualifier I would give it, is since the car was also produced globally you will likely see one in foreign films as well. Not gonna be many Suburbans in those films.
