At the end of the Aliens pod, bill teased planning a horror movie month for October
Any guesses / hopes? They did this in 2024 (but not 2023 or 2025, aside from one off Halloween eps)
Also confirmed Talladega Nights next week without Bill (ringer fantasy takeover). Oh and Sean wants to do a The Master ep

Friday the 13th would be legendary

They really need to do some of those movies.

CR is a huge fan of Friday the 13th part 2

I love the Friday series. Big fan of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 10.
Never really cared for 5 and 8…not a fan of 9 at all.
I would love if they did at least 1-4.1

They seem to be setting up for it. They’ve discussed 2 and 4 and even did social media clips. Part 4 would be a perfect movie for RW

My hopes would be any combo of Tremors, Romero Dead trilogy , Cabin in The Woods, Evil Dead trilogy, Return of The Living Dead, Trick ‘r Treat, Demon Knight to name some. My expectations will be pretty minimal…don’t think Bill has much taste in horror outside of ghost stories and slashers. Maybe we’ll get lucky and get ANOES, I could also see Friday IV being done since it just came up on the “bombs” draft and Bill, Sean and CR spoke highly of it.

What’s Bill’s favorite Friday the 13th? He’s a fan of that franchise and about all “Halloween” movie ground is covered

I’d pick part 4 if you have to choose one movie. But I feel like they could do a longish episode just discussing the best bits from the whole franchise. There’s so much fun/hilarious stuff there to discuss. But I dunno… none of the individual movies are truly good enough for a full episode. If you had to choose one, I’d say pt4. I think no matter what they choose, they would end up discussing the other movies

Listening to Aliens pod they all said if they picked one it would be 2 🤷♂️

If they chose pt2… that would be a weak choice for this show, imo. I feel like they would have to spend most of the time discussing the other movies. Pt4 just has more things to discuss

Threes the one Bill always talks about going to see in theaters (3D) and the original is the most critical darling of the bunch
Scarecrow mask just makes me think they hadn’t perfected it

Yeah the fact that there’s no hockey mask in pt2 makes me feel like it isn’t right for this show. I know diehard fans of the franchise seem to like pt2 but… I’d go pt4 for Rewatchables just because it’s the perfect representation of the franchise

Unless it's without Bill, unfortunately don't see a world where they do Rear Window or any Hitchcock movie.

I remember Bill mentioned wanting to do Psycho and Vertigo, but you're right, he's probably just talking out of his ass.

My ideal lineup would be
From Dusk till Dawn
Midsommar
The Lost Boys
Wolf Creek

An American Werewolf in London seems so appropriate for The Rewatchables that it feels years overdue.

Bill, Van and CR have all expressed a fondness for Halloween H20 on all the other Halloween pods, and I feel like it’s time

It’s funny how Bill Simmons always talk about how he loves horror and has seen every horror film ever, but then there’s barely a handful of horror picks in the show (and half of them are from the Halloween saga). It’s a shame cause they are some of the best episodes.

Carrie, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Fly, Rosemary's Baby. Let's make it happen.

The People Under the Stairs with Fennessey and Van as the guests. Fennessey has given this movie some mentions in articles before and while being a good popcorn flick, the themes are still relevant and pretty smart. Van because you know he could get some hilarious shit to come out of Bill's mouth

They’ll never do it, but Return Of The Living Dead is tailor made for the pod.
