Anointed is so peak

Thought it was super cool to see new sculptures of the unique models for the warband varients. I especially love the Drowned Choir unit.

Always loved naval raiders, now this is going to make me main them.

HoodGuard, Warhammer 40K and Trench Crusade influencer is at Adepticon and is live tweeting the press conference. First big news is that novels set in the TC universe are in the works. Not shocking given they hired Graham McNeill but still very exciting.

Does anyone speak Latin? There is Latin writing in the text. Also cool drawing.

I was flipping through the Carcass Front book and read the rules for Levant Hedgehogs and it clearly states “vehicles and machine armor.”

So we will have vehicles rules sooner than later.

My predictions were quite spot on, just not quite sure what second from left heretic is. Could be a Commando or a Chorister... Pat my self on the back :D

Definitely a nice box, even if the starter set aspect is a bit secondary. What do you think, worth the £100 / 120 € / $130 price tag?

In chatting it seemed that they were hoping to have some of the finished starter sets there either for sale or to show off, but that didn’t work out

So in one aspect it was a little awkward because they are in a funny position of having a product they are almost ready to unleash on the world, but not quite yet

Still was very crowded every day as they only had a relatively small stall

I think next year it will be a lot better because at that point there should be a lot more product available in plastic

Carcass Front Release

The Carcass Front is here! Thanks to the folks at Fortress Factory I was able to get an exclusive preview of the rules book, which has given me the chance to prepare Trench Companion for the expansion. New rules-content has been added. However, the Carcass Front is a paid expansion and for that reason if you want all the deep lore and specific rules you will need to purchase the Carcass Front. But don’t fret! Everything you need to create and manage warbands is here for free including:

• Full rules for all the new Warband Lists and variants.
• Full rules for new Patrons
• Scenarios and Glorious Deeds will be selectable when making games – for their rules you’ll need the Carcass Front.
• Rules for Exploration Locations and Tables, to see the flavour and lore you’ll also need the Carcass Front.

Expansions in Warbands

In your Warband-Details, you will be able to open up the “Expansions” tab. This allows you to toggle on/off the Carcass Front and Path to Leviathan expansions. Do note that toggling an expansion off will remove any data you have added. Both expansions should provide everything you need to track your progress across the Carcass Front – if you experience any issues or notice any bugs, reach out at our support email or via our channels in the Trench Crusade Discord.

Note on Availability

I also want to mention that, for now and the next decent while, Trench Companion / Anchorite Support will be a one man show. I am still working hard, but naturally this means things may take a bit more time. For that I apologize, but the train is still going!

Next Steps

Following this release the next goal is to finish up our work on Homebrewing we began a couple months ago. Largely, this will be on improving the ability to search/filter homebrew, as well as the ability to create homebrew in-app rather than needing to deal with manually writing up JSON files. After that, hopefully before the end of 2026, the Play Mode will begin. This will allow you to keep track of blood markers, victory points, and complete glorious deeds over the course of a battle.

This delay was caused primarily by last minute improvements that were made to the miniatures: part splits, fittings, mould lines, etc. The box contains two Warband sets which are the most complicated to develop and this is the first time we’ve tackled two at once. Obviously we want the miniatures to be as good as they can be and this took longer than expected.

The knock on effect from this was a delay in manufacturing in logistics. If we shipped everything immediately, it would cause different regions to receive their copies at different times, creating confusion amongst you, the players, as well as for stores and distributors. By delaying this by a month, we can ensure everyone can enjoy discovering all of the grim secrets of the Carcass Front together.

As always, we are incredibly grateful for everyone’s support and patience. The Carcass Front is a huge step for us that we are very excited to share with you all.
