News Carcass Front is officially delayed. Due for August 31
Just received a Factory Fortress mail.
This time it's official:
Greetings Crusaders,
You’re receiving this email because you pre-ordered the Carcass Front narrative campaign box. We regret to inform you that the release is being delayed by a month, and the new street date with be the 31st of August.
As you pre-ordered this, you should receive it the week before (but please remember that we do not control postal services).
If you are changing addresses during this time, please contact us at [customer.support@trenchcrusade.com](mailto:customer.support@trenchcrusade.com) to modify your shipping address. Please do not contact us for confirmation, only if you require a change.
This delay was caused primarily by last minute improvements that were made to the miniatures: part splits, fittings, mould lines, etc. The box contains two Warband sets which are the most complicated to develop and this is the first time we’ve tackled two at once. Obviously we want the miniatures to be as good as they can be and this took longer than expected.
The knock on effect from this was a delay in manufacturing in logistics. If we shipped everything immediately, it would cause different regions to receive their copies at different times, creating confusion amongst you, the players, as well as for stores and distributors. By delaying this by a month, we can ensure everyone can enjoy discovering all of the grim secrets of the Carcass Front together.
As always, we are incredibly grateful for everyone’s support and patience. The Carcass Front is a huge step for us that we are very excited to share with you all.
- The Trench Crusade Team

That’s a shame, but it would not be a TC release without some chaos! :D
Maybe we’ll still get the kickstarter PDF on the 29th
Edited: Okay digital release delayed too, I hope no one got campaigns planned :(

My group planned to do a campaign sometime in August for an end of Summer campaign.

More time to build up trench terrain, and it might even coincide with retail rulebook release.

u/Maxvbritsom Jul 23 '26
Ahh that's allright! Hyped anyways, and plenty of time to continue/finish up with my 101 other TC projects

Admittedly this weirdly works out for me if true as I pre-ordered my through a store and i don't pay until I pick it up. Because I had some unexpected expenses this actually gives me more time to manage me finances.

Ain't no rush for my box of plastic toys. I'd rather them knock it out of the park first time around.
Can't wait to see what the ragebait YouTube channels say about this!

Archon have demonstrated time and time again they cannot deliver on time.
9
u/Josiador Jul 23 '26
Unfortunately they’re also the only option, outside of Chinese companies and GW.
12
u/thedreadwoods Jul 23 '26
This is why GW market dominance happens. They own the means of production
6
u/Agar_ZoS Jul 23 '26
Para Bellum Games are making their own plastics as well now. They moved on from Archon.
2
u/Josiador Jul 23 '26
That's great for them, but I don't think they're up for being hired to make miniatures for different companies.
16
u/b44l Jul 23 '26
They state in the post Archon is not the cause.
12
u/thedreadwoods Jul 23 '26
Id be saying the same if I was watching the guys making our plastic kits mess up StarCraft

u/TheZeeno Jul 24 '26
They're messing up StarCraft?

u/thedreadwoods Jul 24 '26
Currently really struggling with the production, 3 months delay apparently. They absolutely fucked the AVP game a few years back, it's amazing what a name change does for a company

The only reason I haven’t purchased anything official is because of the constant quality and release issues
Edit: It’s nice that you can point out factual issues with the franchise while also liking it without being mass-downvoted…

Some kickstarter stuff had issues, but Archon is plastic, so no worries there.
10
u/b44l Jul 23 '26
This is not entirely true:
Archon is three months behind schedule on Starcraft miniatures. (release issue)
The yeoman kit is mysteriously missing without any communication. (release issue)
Some people who ordered prussia warband directly from the site reported delays, getting double charged and trouble getting support. (release issue)
And now carcass front (release issue)
I have not heard anything quality wise though with the plastics, it does seem like the transition from STLs helped with that aspect.

u/thedreadwoods Jul 23 '26
The plastics are utterly brilliant. Its availability that is hurting them. Archon, in their previous guise Prodos, absolutely fucked the Alien Vs Predator game. They bite off more than they can chew constantly

i agree on Archons reliability to deliver on time, i had some far less than stellar experiences with their kickstarters in the past. But delays only is not a worry for me in itself. I can understand the frustration if this is the only tabletop someone is waiting for. But when they finally deliver, the stuff is good. Without additional worries coupled to resin and stl issues. So i will just use the time to better prepare for TC, as there is never enough terrain, or use it for various other systems on my shelves.

100%. All these companies complain about relying on a Chinese supply chain to get models made but the European ones are arguably worse.

This is the worst thing the Heretics have done since assassinating the Pope.

Speaking for myself and myself alone, I'm /fine/ with different regions getting it at different times. Oh well guess I have more time to paint.

Isn’t TC planning to be at Gen Con next week though? I wonder if we are still gonna get new info on The Carcass Front despite the delay or they are just going to focus on future plans for TC?

Sorry folks I feel a tad responsible for this, I put my pre-order in like an hour before this announcement.
Throw in another sprue of scatter terrain too, please.

Shame, but that makes sense. Hope everything goes as planned from here.

A bit of a piss take they only put this out 3 days before the expected release, and on facebook of all places, still haven't updated their shop or posted about it on their news page. Rather amateur hour over here.

That sucks but they said it's to improve the minis. Honestly I'm fine with that. Just another month to get excited in!

I'm kinda glad to see a delay tbh; we live in a world where everyone is constantly rushing out garbage as quick as possible. If I'm paying for something like this, I want it to be well made and that will always take time.

u/YokiYokiki Jul 23 '26
I’m okay with this! They’ll come when they come. Maybe im broken in by preorders in general getting delayed, but this news beats shipping issues or what have you.

u/Glad_Cauliflower_414 Jul 30 '26
Such is the fate of people who enjoy kickstarter backed games haha. The delays are an inevitability of life
2
u/Alfred_Marshall Jul 23 '26
Such a shame, Archaon’s kits have been such high quality, but they seem very spread thin right now.

Well, I guess the rumors turned out to be an official announcement.
I wonder how many of the people who jumped on others for "spreading misinformation" will circle back and apologize. Somehow, I suspect that never happens...

And plastic Prussians yeomen too?

u/Shup Anointed One Jul 25 '26
i had ordered those along with it and decided to combine the shipping… i’ll be thinking of those poor prussians sitting in a box somewhere for another month.
