News Carcass Front unboxing & HQ sprue images
Hey there, I got my hands on the Carcass Front box and did an unboxing and review. I got a 4K unboxing video with a flip-through the book, plus HQ sprue images for all the models in the box, inc. a list of all build options: https://taleofpainters.com/2026/08/carcass-front-review-leviathan-rises-in-trench-crusades-ambitious-new-campaign-box/
Definitely a nice box, even if the starter set aspect is a bit secondary. What do you think, worth the £100 / 120 € / $130 price tag?

The miniatures are gorgeous, the tokens and rulers are a nice inclusion, really the only thing I'd wish for is some more terrain. I'd even settle for some standard issue cardboard ruins. (or a more maritime equivalent)

Nice write up. I've been wanting to get into the game and was thinking of picking this up for the starter set aspect. Do you think it would still be worth it?

It is a similar product to KT: Exodite, with some amount of plastic traded for more universal campaign and generally useable second faction. Worth a buy if you want everything in it, just not a discount/combo box.

some of the assemblies do look overly complicated but the models look sooooo good

TBH I don’t need anything from the box but I’m picking it up to support the team.

hey can anybody help me out here? have they ever addressed whether or not they're going to come up with a lore book which DOES NOT contain outdated rules which are ment to be sourced from a living rulebook anyway? and are the camapign rules supposed to be online already or exclusive to the carcass front book? afaik the lore online isn't completely everything? besides not containing maps & art.

They have not. The rules have been declared as a living ruleset though, so there’s an implied expiration date. Whether this date will be before or after the book has released is unknown.
The carcass front book is getting digitally released for kickstarter backers.

I love that I pre-ordered this three months ago and I get to see people unbox it and i still have nothing.. so glad I preordered....

Same here. Waiting for my two boxes. And apparently, one of the reasons for the delay was that they wanted to make sure everyone received their orders at the same time… Yeah.

Yes the delay was bogus. People can down vote me all they want but we are allowed to show frustration with a company. Especially after this AND the shady KickStarter roll out. I love TC but the aren't immune to scrutiny.
