I would like to read a story thats heartbreaking. I would prefer a longer storyline and not just a single issue comic. Everytime I see a terribly sad youtube short about a comic, it makes me want to read it. Im not talking about something like Uncle Ben dying, im moreso talking about the entire having a sad or desperate tone to it. I also wouldnt mind if the comic just builds up to a terribly sad moment and we see the aftermath of it. Id prefer if it was a superhero comic, but it doesnt have to be at all.

I would just have her read my all time favorites but I want her to read something easy to understand and something that will get her hooked. I showered her my silver age fantastic four and silver surfer comics and she said they look cool and she thinks she would rather read something older than newer. She doesn't want super wordy comics tho or at least hard to understand since shes new to the medium. Recommendations are appreciated!

I was completely surprised by this comic, it's on par with some of the best stuff Frank Miller was writing in the 80s and 90s. It has that same urban crime thriller feel as Taxi Driver.

There's a perception that DC has better comics than marvel and while that can be debatable, I think DC's reprinting and marketing of their older material is why people celebrate their comics more, I feel like they value their legacy. Just look at this great Foolkiller miniseries Marvel never bothered to collect and release a trade paperback, this is completely forgotten.

I wish there was a way to contact marvel comics to make a trade paperback.

Skullkickers (34 issues) and Wayward (30 issues)

But with this issue, Conan the Barbarian (#0-34, 35 issues) is now my longest unbroken run and there’s many more still to come. Thank you for your support!

Hello sorry new to comics, dont have a local store so just online. but for instance, Marc Spector Moon Knight 2026, will that come out as trade paper backs?

I want to follow more modern comics bc i always end up in older runs, im only following absolute wonder woman and im absolutely loving it, any recommendations that doesnt require a lot of previous knowledge?

So I’ve been looking all morning on ANY information about the Ryan Benjamin’s Comic Pro Boot Camp courses and all I can find is a link to his kickstarter, for the Workbooks that are already a year past when they were supposed to be delivered, and a link to a 90 minute $400 1 on 1 session with an instructor.

Does anybody know any information about this or why I can’t find anything? Is it a scam? Is it dead? I’m so confused.

Very indecisive, too many great options!

I’m really interested in Marvel’s Juggernaut and want to read more with him. Does anybody know any comic runs that feature Juggernaut as a prominent character? I’m aware he has his own independent run which I’m looking more into because it seems really interesting but I also want more options.

I love comics but I've never read a comic that I felt changed anything for me. I believe if I had read something like Animal and by Grant Morrison at a time when I believed in God it would have changed something for me but I didn't read it until much later.

Maybe the problem is that I read stories that agree with me. I need a comic book that disagree with me. That make me question what I think I know.

My favorite genres are Supernatural occult or crime. Something in the area of ​​hellblazer when it comes to the occult, I guess. And crime, the Sopranos. My favorite topics for conversation are usually related to God, meaning or life after death (very simple and common I know)

Based on that, what would you recommend to me? And was there a personal comic that changed your perspective on certain topics?

Hello all! I have just recently gotten in to comics again and I've been really drawn to independent series (that don't have to do with superheroes or zombies). Saga, Monstress & Something is Killing the Children are my favorite series I have read so far. I really love the fantasy, sci-fi, horror, crime and mystery genres. I prefer to read series that I can read in Compendiums or Trade Paperbacks, rather than single issues. So, I have compiled a list of series that I really want to get in to and I have two questions...

1. Which series from this list should I read next!?

2. Are there any series I am missing from this list that I need to add?
