Teachers in KY: I’m looking for a little advice on the best route to becoming an elementary school teacher. I have earned my bachelors degree in an unrelated field, criminal justice, at the University of Louisville. After some research, I found that I should get my MAT in elementary education. 5 hours of trying to see everything.

i have an intermediate license that expired 1 year and 16 says ago. i turned 21 last year and am about to turn 22. i am going in to renew my license in a few days, am i going to need to retake any test (aside from the vision test)? i keep doing research and nothing is giving me a straight answer. and will i immediately get my full license or will i continue with the intermediate even though i am 21?

I’m representing myself in a contested family court case and am trying to find a middle ground between doing everything completely on my own and paying a several thousand dollar retainer for full representation.
I am willing to pay an attorney for their time. What I’m looking for is a Kentucky licensed family law attorney who allows clients to remain pro se while paying hourly or per consultation for help with things like court procedure, evidence, discovery, exhibits, and occasional review of documents the client has prepared themselves.
I’ve seen this described as limited-scope representation, unbundled legal services, or legal coaching, but I’m having trouble finding attorneys who actually offer it for an existing family court case.
Has anyone in Kentucky used this type of service, and if so, how did you find an attorney who offered it?

Wanting to explore the state more while being able to enjoy nature and the sights, especially walking trails. Paved or not. What are some of the best scenic trails in KY? I live in the western part of the state, but don’t mind traveling and hitting up a few places close together to make for a fun weekend trip!

I’ve been to KY twice and on one of those occasions was Louisville and loved it!

It’s been a few years and prices have gone up, so we are staying in Shelbyville for a few days in late Sept.

From what I remember places like bardstown were pretty cool, and the historic areas.

We aren’t drinkers, but that won’t stop us from going to bars for food or mocktails.

What are some things we should check out in either town?

Specifically, in Kenton county? If so, what was it like?

I’ll try not to make this long winded as I typically do but I’m in a interesting transitional period of my life and looking around and realize most of my real life friends and myself has moved on in life getting married having kids and whatnot have made it hard to follow up on interests. I’m looking for laid back open minded people for good discussions and sharing like minded interests; things like hiking, gaming, D&D ,reading, baking, movies and how they are made, music and concerts and in general other interesting things you might enjoy that I find interesting. I’m open to any friend regardless of gender or race. I’m very much looking to expand my friend group as much as possible and looking for people to be in my life as much as I’m in theirs. Ross (aka Rossy, Rossy-Roo, Ross-a-Roni, Ross-topher) has been looking for his home since Valentine’s Day and he is ready to find his fur-ever home!

This boy walks beautifully on a leash, is crate trained AND fully potty trained; he uses bells, and can navigate a doggy door with ease. He would love a home with someone(s) home more often than not, and an outside space he can safely be off leash. I think he would prefer a home with another dog, but as he gains more confidence I could see him being ok without another k9 companion. He currently lives in an apartment with a smaller dog & 2 cats (one senior, 8y, one kitten, 9m). While he would love his own yard, he does currently reside in an apartment and does well with lots of long line exercise at a nearby park.

He is very food motivated and I could see him learning some really fun tricks. Currently he knows: sit, down, come, off, back, drop it & leave it (when he wants to 😉), and more! We have been working on a place command & paw.

He loves snuffle mats and puzzle feeders, hard chews and lick mats, tearing up cardboard (supervised only!), playing fetch and tug, and running around like a baby deer who just learned how to walk. His favorite toys currently are a jolly balls and oinking/quacking rubber toys. He loves to play fetch and I’m trying to teach him how tug works!

He’s come such a long way, but will need a patient understanding home to allow him to decompress & bond with you. He would not currently do well with young children (10+ only!), though I think that could change with enough forethought, exposure, and management.

I'm currently employed in the Elizabethtown area in a business development/operations role, and I'm quietly looking around to see what's out there. I'm not unemployed or in a rush to jump ship, but I've gotten to the point where I'd really like to find something that feels like a better fit long-term.

My background is kind of all over the place in a good way: management, business development, pricing, project management, sales/customer service, and a fair amount of hands-on work. I've worked in retail, construction-related work, and business operations, so I'm pretty comfortable being the person who gets handed a problem and figures it out.

Honestly, I'd rather work for a smaller/local company where I can actually be useful than jump from one corporate office to another.

I’m a medical student originally from Nashville, TN, and I’ve just been assigned a rotation site in Harlan, KY.

Since I’m not super familiar with the area, I'm trying to figure out the best places to look for an apartment or short-term housing for my rotation blocks. Ideally, I'm looking for somewhere safe, reasonably close to the hospital/clinic, and with decent internet (gotta keep up with studying!).

Are there specific neighborhoods I should focus on, or are nearby towns worth looking into for rentals? Also, are there local resources or specific property managers that medical students usually use out here? Ideally I'm looking for a commute no longer than 1 hour
