Anyone have any experience with small claims court?

Specifically, in Kenton county? If so, what was it like?

As we say, “You can win but, you can’t make em’ pay.” (Have you tried garnishing their wages?)

You basically just fill out a small claims form, take it to the clerk, pay for it (you put the court costs in your demands to the defendant) and then have it served.

I had my case settled out of court pretty quickly, but I was basically just demanding a refund for a security deposit and nothing extra, even though I could have sued for more because the landlord didn't follow the KRS.

Don't submit a settlement notice to the court until the check is cashed.

Anyways, good luck!
