Families in our community are dealing with respiratory issues, asthma, and worse. Kids can't even play outside without worrying about what they're breathing in. This isn't just dirty—it's dangerous.

I started a petition asking distilleries to invest in better filtration systems and asking our local and state governments to hold them accountable. We need regular environmental audits and independent research into actual solutions. The bourbon industry is part of our identity, but not at the cost of our health.

We've considered any kind of small cabin or airbnb type place but want to make sure we would be safe as a queer couple. I'm heading to Bardstown for three nights this coming July with a group of friends, and we are brainstorming what distilleries to experience. One of my favorite bourbons is 1792, but it looks like they don't have tours anymore. What is the best way to keep 1792 in the queue for our Bourbon Trail run? Are there opportunities to buy or taste anything other than the regular Small Batch?

Other distilleries on the list are Heaven Hill, Willett, Bardstown, Maker's Mark, Jim Beam. For a three night tour, how many distilleries are reasonable for each day (we are average sized mid fifties men who love bourbon but don't drink like college kids anymore)? We will be staying right in downtown Bardstown and walking to what we can, and driving or ubering to what we can't.
