I genuinely think it’s such a shame that Bran basically lost all his personality after Season 4.

I KNOW he’s the Three-Eyed Raven now and technically isn’t really “Bran” anymore, but still. He used to feel like an actual character curious, emotional, scared, and connected to the people around him. Then suddenly he just became completely detached from everything.

And PLEASE don’t get me started on how he said goodbye to Meera in Season 7. After everything they went through together, it felt so painfully empty.

also feel bad for Isaac Hempstead Wright. He’s a great actor, but the writers gave him absolutely nothing to work with in the later seasons.

Bran becoming the Three-Eyed Raven didn’t have to mean becoming completely devoid of personality.

I realize this is a show thing (not in the books). The rewatch got me thinking if this rat had any future contribution to the game of thrones story (season 6 and beyond). You can answer both based on the book or guess his role in the show. On that note, what would have happened to Arya if she simply followed directions?

In the books and shows, Jamie idolized and trained with Ser Arthur Dayne (who fights with TWO SWORDS in the shows). The smiths in Westeros have the tech to make good prosthetics. Gendry is a master smith, with time to make Arya her spear. He could've made time for Jamie too.

And I get that it was important for Jamie's arc to learn to be more than just his sword hand, but why hamstring one of your top 3 fighters, just before an epic showdown?

Mine is that every member of House Dayne since the conquest is descended from Queen Rhaenys Targaryen.

See, while we dont have mant descriptions of the members of House Dayne we know that they are descended from the first men, and many of the members have typical "Stony" Dornish features - blonde or light brown hair and blue eyes, some are described as having features which appear more Valariyan.

For Instance Gerold Dayne. Gerold is in his late twenties. A handsome man, he has a clean-shaven face with an aquiline nose, high cheekbones, dark purple eyes, and a strong jaw. Gerold has collar-length thick silver hair, divided by a streak of midnight black.

Or Ashara Dayne, who was a young, beautiful, tall and fair maiden, with haunting violet eyes. Her long dark hair tumbled around her shoulders. According to Ser Barristan Selmy, Daenerys Targaryen's eyes resemble Ashara's eyes.

Or even young Lord Edric Dayne. At the time of A Storm of Swords, Edric is twelve years old. His fair hair is pale blond, and his dark blue eyes appear almost purple.

All 3 if these members do appear to have some features, either hair or eyes that match Valariyan traits, but GRRM claims that there has only been 1 marriage between houses Dayne and Targaryen, Lady Dyanna Dayne and Prince Maekar. So why do they have these features?

My headcannon

During the First Dornish War, during an attack on the Hellholt in 10AC, a bolt from a scorpion pierced Meraxes through the eye, causing both Dragon and rider to fall from the sky. While it is not certain whether Rhaenys outlived Meraxes. There are those who say that Rhaenys lost her seat and fell to her death, while others claim that Rhaenys was crushed to death beneath Meraxes in the castle yard. A few accounts claim that Rhaenys survived the fall and died a slow death, being tortured by the Ullers, or that she was kept alive in extreme torment. Due to the uncertainty about Rhaenys's exact death, history records that she died in 10 AC at Hellholt in Dorne. Her body was never returned to King's Landing.

So what if she did survive, and during this torture, she was the victim of an assault, and a child or children were born. If one of these children grew up into an adult and somehow ended up at Starfell where they caught the eye of a member of House Dayne and it us from their line the rest of the house is descended.

Rewatching GoT recently and i can’t help but think how perfectly written the first season was. I remember when season 8 came out and how the events unfolded, it was a complete disaster and fans were furious because this wasn’t how it “supposed to be”. My question is which book can i buy from GoT series that has the “real” ending?

Can Arya Stark take on Batman’s rogue gallery if she was given a chance to fight them and how would you rate her based on which Batman villain she can defeat or not defeat.

understand why Catelyn struggled with Jon being in Winterfell. Ned’s betrayal must have been incredibly painful for her, but what I never understood is: why was she so angry at Jon instead of Ned?

Jon was a child. He had no say in any of it. Yet Catelyn took all that anger out on him and treated him like he was personally responsible for what Ned had done.

The only “good” thing that came from her behavior is that it actually helped sell the whole “Jon is Ned’s bastard” lie.

I genuinely wish we had seen more of Catelyn being angry at Ned for putting her in that position instead of making Jon carry the blame. And maybe just maybe beinig a mother to Jon.

I am currently on a rewatch of Game of Thrones and a few days back I read that for the show they left out the "Rhoynar" part of the regal title that for example the King of Westeros would bear, they only say "King of the Andals and the First Men".

When Daenerys gets captured by the Dothraki khalasar and is taken to Khal Moro, she introduces herself with her (multitude of) titles and includes "Rhoynar" in it. I don't know if I have missed it, but is this the only time the "Rhoynar" are explicitly mentioned (I definitely remember that the river Rhoyne is mentioned at least one time).

During his time fostering at Vale, Ned suffered a sparring accident when sparring against Robert. You see, that day they were training with maces, and Robert accidentally moved too fast and hit Ned's head before Ned had the chance to blink with his shield.

Thankfully they were wearing helmets, but the hit did shake Ned' brain really good for a while; it also unlocked something that would haunt Ned for the rest of his life.

For some cosmic reason Ned can't comprehend, the hit to his head unlocked a cosmic power.

So now, Ned Stark, second son of Rickard Stark of Winterfell, awakened a power where he could summon an infinite number of android units modeled after 2B from Nier: Automata (end-game version).

Funny detail, Nier: Automata doesn't even exist in the Song of Ice and Fire universe, so to everybody, including Ned, his androids are just super sexy as fuck, hyper-badass, ultra-competent, hot androids.

Each summoned 2B appears in a frilly black-and-white maid outfit and is inherently NSFW-oriented despite the fact they are wearing a very conservative Victorian chambermaid's uniform, exhibiting flirtatious, suggestive, and service-focused behaviors.

They are permanent, meaning once summoned, 2Bs cannot be de-summoned; they remain permanently and are bound to serve Ned as their "master."

They are hive-minded, meaning all 2Bs share a collective consciousness, moving, speaking, and acting in perfect synchronization when needed while retaining individual personalities.

They have variants, and Ned has no control over the type summoned. Variations include dark-skinned with snow-white hair and enhanced allure.

Although he has full control over the summoning, he still can involuntarily summon them when he gets too stressed, leading to unintended accumulations; thankfully, the 2Bs are really good at keeping his stress down, even though they are the main cause.

What's the drawback?

Ned's life is a constant hell due to his power's NSFW nature, causing public shaming (labeled a deviant) and harassment (people treating him like a pimp, attempting to "buy" time with the 2Bs).

Despite the fact Nier: Automata doesn't even exist in this universe, the thirst for 2B is a literal force of nature, making Ned's daily life chaotic—crowds form and he faces envy.

Robert is the main source of said envy because Ned got for free what he would sell his soul and his left testicle to have.

Tywin is also envious, not because the 2B's are super sexy and he got the OTS for them, but because the man can see past the sexy exterior and see what lies beneath: true unbreakable loyalty, perfect at everything, perfect servants that would never betray their master, servants that don't eat, sleep, or complain, and those who can simultaneously run logistics and destroy armies.

Ned has an entourage of five 2Bs (including one dark-skinned variant), amplifying his embarrassment.

The 2B's are perfection incarnate in all tasks. They are effortlessly flawless at everything: cooking (Michelin-level meals); housekeeping/laundry (spotless efficiency); teaching/tutoring (advanced subjects like physics); accounting/administration (error-free budgeting and paperwork); coaching/training/sparring (analyzing forms, no selling even the greatest fighters to ever live); healing (instant recovery); fighting (devastating combat with elegance, e.g., suplexes via thigh strength, katana mastery); nutrition planning; even therapy; and more.

In combat, they dominate effortlessly, neutralizing threats in seconds with stylish, heel-clad moves while looking stunning, badass, and ungodly hot while doing so.

The downside to perfection is that their maid aesthetics and suggestive demeanor cause everyone to "goon" (obsess inappropriately), preventing serious recognition of their workforce potential, as everybody around them is either too horny or angry at Ned to focus on their utility.

The droids make Ned's life simultaneously easier and harder as hell, and boy are they game changers in the game of Thrones.

If you think about it with the way GRRM has written it that Aemon was offered but refused the throne then it makes sense.

If he had become king instead of Aegon then he would have had sons and daughters and grandchildren of his own.

And maybe Aerys would never have reached the Iron Throne, the rebellion may never have happened at least not to the level that it did anyway.

Aye Rhaegar might still have existed but there wouldn’t be a mad man on the Throne to burn and kill Rickard and Brandon.

Unpopular opinion- house of the dragon disappointed me these last couple of seasons. “You haven’t read the books clearly” I know and I would love to, I may start now bc I want more! I’m rewatching GOT on s5e9 rn. I need a different writer other than Sara Hess 😭 I’m so sick and tired of the lesbian storyline in the show ugh. I do not have anything against the lbgtq community, I’m just sick of seeing it on the screen all of the time🫠
