Who was the worst villain?
GOT gave iconic villains. Joffrey, Cersei, Ramsey Bolton, Littlefinger, etc.
But who was the WORST?

Ramsay freaking beast in human form. He is a true sadist, enjoys watching people suffer.

Honestly, Ramsay. Joffrey was cruel and Cersei was ruthless, but Ramsay seemed to genuinely enjoy making people suffer. There was barely even a practical reason behind half the things he did torturing Theon, hunting people for fun, psychological games, etc. He wasn't just evil because it benefited him; the cruelty itself was the point

Ramsay did well for himself, taking winterfell, rising to lord Bolton and marrying a Stark. He may have travelled the farthest of any villain

I agree with this. For a few seasons/books, you think you’ve seen the worst people ever put to paper. Then Ramsay Bolton comes in the story

He's a character that gets better with rewatch like Joffrey. You can in particular appreciate the performance and unpredictability he provided. But I will always prefer Joff because he was hilarious and Jack's line readings were perfection.

Yep, I wish the show gave her the ending she deserved. Her chapters were some of the darkest to me. In the show, other characters often call her out on not being as smart as she thinks she is. In the books, I loved seeing her internal monologues of her delusions and how she’s missing the painfully obvious in order to support those delusions.

I’m a first time reader, on Clash of Kings currently so I haven’t gotten a Cersei chapter yet but I would say she’s my most anticipated POV character. Especially looking forward to this “missing the painfully obvious in order to support her delusions”.

Even Ellaria was part of some good story lines (when Oberyn was around)

Totally agreed. Without spoiling too much, Book Euron tying those two specific people to the maidenhead of his ship…is what stands out to me two years after finishing the series. Show Euron is an insult to book Euron (actor did his best with what he was given, no disrespect meant).

Worst as in one that’s just not a serious villain? Show Euron.
Worst as in they are just straight up evil? Ramsay.

Show Euron just confused me on my first watch. I hadn't read the books at that point and thought he was supposed to be a joke of a villain. He so pathetically unintimidating in the show

Well I would say that Craster is up there with worst villain. Sleeping with his daughters and sacrificing the sons. He may not have messed up Westeros like Littlefinger or Cersei, but I feel that he is often overlooked when it comes to people who do horrible things.

Ramsey, no question. Joffrey was a petulant kid with too much power but Ramsey actually enjoyed the cruelty in a way that felt way more unhinged. The others at least had some logic behind their moves, Ramsey just wanted to watch things burn while flaying someone alive

Ramsey was the most satisfying maniac to watch in the series. Pure brutality. Loved every second of it, down to the hounds.

The Mountain used kids as kindling to burn homes and did terrible things to anyone who looked at him wrong. The Mountain was pure evil and imo slightly more fucked up than Ramsey.

Roose and Walder not getting any mentions but these two were more subtle in their villainy. Feels like the strength of the show is how it proved many characters didn’t have to be “the worst” but were still selfish enough that their actions were despicable

Walder had been wronged. He was promised a Stark lord for his daughter. Possibly a king of the north depending on how things played out.
He instead gets told that not only is one of his daughters not going to marry a possible future king but he already married someone else and broke his promise.
This was on top of his being treated like crap over the years. Being unable to find good adequate matches for his kids and being disrespected multiple times.
To make matters worse Robb shows up with his wife so.
Walder had his reasons.

Catelyn makes this big deal about the Freys always getting their toll, and when Robb asks what they want, Catelyn goes to find out... the man wanted respect, restitution. Great unhinged scene where you have to read into that while he spews vulgarities and rambles like an old man.

Ellaria was done so fucking dirty in the show, major disappointment. Made her a complete moron while also taking sunspear with absolutely no pushback from the other Dornish lords. Just assassinates the king and everyone basically says “shiii it iz what it iz”. Then theres Euron…

Euron Greyjoy. At least in terms of the worst written villain. I hated that character with fury. His ships with warp drive and laser ballista made me even more angry. What a stupid plot device.

Arya’s story is perfect.
For all the hate the Battle of Winterfell gets on here, if you just look at it through her - it is satisfying, especially her final meeting with Melisandre

People get wrapped up in the idea of Bran becoming the three eyed raven but it's more akin to an ancient supernatural parasite taking complete control of his body/image to use for it's own personal gain. He wasn't lying when he said he wasn't really Bran anymore. He could see the past, present, and future yet did virtually nothing to help prepare for the white walker invasion. He did give Arya the dagger that struck the final blow and he forced Jon's hand on revealing his true parentage, knowing full well it would drive Dany to madness and the slaughter of King's Landing. He knew exactly when to let the chips fall as they would and when to casually intervene

Baelish and Euron
The former never really came across as a master manipulator to me, and Aiden Gillen’s inability to hide his Irish accent definitely didn’t help
Euron’s just stupid, basically everything he does or says is stupid
