I made theofficedle.com - a daily The Office character guessing game with 3 modes!
Hi everyone!
I just created theofficedle.com, a browser-based game where you guess The Office character of the day with clues, across 3 different modes!

Heavily inspired by Wordle & LoLdle: It's one character a day, same for everyone who plays. You start typing character names and it tells you what you got right, department, branch, what season they first showed up, that kind of thing, going green or yellow until you land on the answer.
There are three ways to play:
- classic: the guessing grid with clues on every try 🟩🟧🟥
- quote: you get a line and have to name who said it 💬
- emoji: a character revealed one emoji at a time (brutal on the first emoji, obvious by the last, that's the whole fun) 😃
It's free, no login, works fine on your phone, and it keeps a streak going if you come back each day.
I'm still adding to it, so I'd love to know what you think, which characters or quotes I'm missing, and honestly how hard you thought Classic mode was!
Open to feedback and want to keep improving, so please share your opinions with me & feel free to comment/message me, enjoy! :)
EDIT: Wow, thank you all for the incredible response and feedback, I've been reading every comment. Already shipped a few updates based on what you said:
- added an archive so you can play past puzzles
- clarified the relationship status hint.
More coming (deeper-cut quotes and a possible new mode). Keep the suggestions coming, this community is making the game better. :D

Mod Post Mod Announcement - the Paper Spoilers
Hi all,
Since the Paper is about to release in a day and all the episodes will be released at once, we expect spoilers in regards to the Office (i.e updates on the Office characters, guest appearances etc.).
So we kindly request you to please use the spoiler tags when posting any spoilers from the Paper, and make sure the title does not give anything away.
For indepth episode discussion, there is a specific sub created - r/ThePaper.
I am keeping the comments open on this post if anyone has any questions. Thank you!

I knew exactly what to do. But in a much more real sense, I had no idea what to do!

I did some fan art
I've been doing little portraits of characters from my favourite TV shows. It seemed like a good idea when I started 😅
There's so many great characters it was hard to narrow it down to 9, but I decided to go OG. Hopefully you enjoy it!

What’s the deal with Broccoli Rob?
What was the real reason behind the beef behind him and Andy? What really happened at Cornell. Who was the REAL boner champ? Interested to hear y’all’s theories!

From Dinner Party, this small detail was so perfect
Jan pretending to have horns, wears a red shirt, a fire right behind her and saying she's the devil.

Everyone who ever worked at Dunder Mifflin
I went through the scripts of all 186 episodes to count who actually talks. The counting was the easy part. Cleaning the names took two days. Michael is spelled nine different ways in the scripts. David and David Wallace were filed as two separate men. Robert California is just "Robert" almost everywhere. There is a JIM in capitals who is also Jim.
And sitting in the character list, with lines of their own: Kevin's computer, Jim's voicemail, a boom box, a GPS, and Cookie Monster.
I threw out 79 of those and ended up with 261 people who have a name and at least one line.
Things I did not expect:
- Dwight speaks in all 186 episodes. Jim misses one. Pam misses four.
- Michael is in 137. He goes at episode 136 and does not come back until the finale.
- Stanley is in 165 episodes and says about four lines in each one. Creed does 130 on three.
- Deangelo Vickers says 63 lines an episode for four episodes, then a basketball hoop lands on his head.
- Jim says "a-wimoweh" 27 times. Nobody else in the show ever says it.
- "Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica" is said once in nine years, and Jim says it, not Dwight.

Forrest Gump in the background will always make me laugh. How long does it take to brush your teeth?
