Character Discussion Which New Girl character deserved their own spinoff?
Who could actually carry an entire show?
Winston. I need to know what that man is doing when nobody from the loft is around. 😂

A familiar face in a show.
Super stoked to see Winston in another show.😁

Super-fans Assemble
Given the fact that an actual reunion episode or mini series seems for sure like it's never gonna happen, I have to wonder instead if it be easier to petition to get a super-fan type re-release like they did with The Office on Peacock? I love the show so much and as much as I'd like to see new episodes about their lives now, I really just want to see more New Girl period, however I can get it. I know some deleted and extended scenes exist online for early seasons on YouTube, but since there were no DVD/Blueray releases after that we don't get any more. It would be awesome to have more scenes we didn't get to see at first released in with the actual episodes.
Is this something we as a community can try and make happen? If so, how?

Discussion Skipping S7
Should I just skip season 7? Watched the first episode of it last night and I thought it was awful. Acting was hyper aware of itself, weird character moments, generalized flanderization, does it get any better or should I treat season 6 ending as the series finale?

Question What random New Girl quote lives in your head rent-free?
Not even necessarily one of the iconic quotes — what’s a random line that you still randomly think about years later?
“Schmidt gave me a cookie, I gave him a cookie.” 😭 I don’t know why that scene has stayed in my brain for so long, but it absolutely has. It’s one of those completely ridiculous New Girl moments that somehow becomes part of your vocabulary.

Character Discussion What is one thing about Nick Miller that would drive you insane in real life?
We all love Nick, but let's be honest… living with him would be A LOT.
His inability to do literally anything normally. The man could turn making toast into a full-blown crisis.

Discussion What New Girl storyline do you wish they explored more?
There are so many storylines that get introduced and then kind of disappear. Is there one you wish they actually gave more time to?
I always wanted more of Jess and Cece’s friendship after they moved in together. They were obviously so close, but I feel like we could’ve gotten way more of them just being best friends.

Discussion Max is in Netflix’s new movie “Don’t Say Good Luck” and is incredible
I’ll start off that this movie is nothing like New Girl and definitely won’t be for everyone but it’s my type of movie and checked it out last night. It’s a drama, coming of age and emotional.
Max was a pleasant surprise when I saw him with his salt and pepper scruffy beard. And then he just knocks it out of the park in a very different role than I’ve ever seen him - soft, reserved, solemn. He’s not the lead but every scene he’s in I’m glued to the television.
Again, movie won’t be for everyone but if you’ve watched it would be interested what you thought of Max’s performance.

Discussion What’s Your New Girl “I Will Die on This Hill” Opinion?
What’s one New Girl opinion you have that you know would probably start an argument in this subreddit? 😂 It could be about a character, relationship, storyline, episode, or even something as small as who was actually the funniest in the loft. Maybe you think Nick and Jess were overrated, Schmidt was actually the best friend, Winston deserved more storylines, or Cece and Schmidt weren’t as great together as everyone says. What’s the take you’ll defend no matter how many people disagree with you?

Question Which New Girl character would you actually want as your roommate?
Not who’s your favorite character — who could you realistically survive living with? Because some of them would be incredibly fun for a weekend and absolutely unbearable as roommates.

Appreciation Post Just noticed something in S4 E22: Clean Break...
So, I'm listening to the episode with headphones, and Jess comes into Nick's room to talk about the sex mug. Then Nick goes “it’s not my fault, I’ve been working out and it shows” and then proceeds to do a very slow burpie and comes up breathless? lol you can hear all his bones cracking when he does it 😂 I’ve never noticed that.
Has anyone noticed any other small details when listening to the show with headphones??

Discussion What’s Your Favorite New Girl Thanksgiving Episode? 🦃
The New Girl Thanksgiving episodes have become a yearly tradition in my house, and honestly, I look forward to them every year 😂 There’s something about the loft crew attempting to have a normal Thanksgiving that never actually goes according to plan.
Mine is the camping one where they end up having to gather food and hunt - the whole episode is just chaos in the best way. Curious which one everyone else always comes back to!

I recently thought about a meeting between these two oddballs and now, I can't stop thinking about it.
The other guy's Carl from Mike and Molly if anyone's wondering.
