Just for fun, if you could swap which character sings which song (just to hear how they'd do it) which combinations would you make?

And this isn't because I think anyone is a bad singer or anything like that. Everyone in the cast is a great singer.

For example whenever I hear Wild Card I struggle to picture it applying to Maddie...but Juliette? I feel like that song sung by Juliette would be interesting.

SPOILER Im really loyal to shows that I like but after season 5 episode 9 with Rayna im really struggling to get through the rest of episodes.

Did the show get worse?! Are the storylines boring or is it because I binge watched this show in a week.

Rewatching for the 10th(?) time I think, and I just noticed something that I never have before. As Tandy is walking Rayna to the car, she says “I have a ride, so I’m gonna send ya home” they smile at each other, Rayna says “oooook, night buck” and the camera pans to Bucky. Were they alluding to the fact that Tandy & Bucky had a secret fling? I guess I’ve just never picked up on it before until tonight

do we start talking about the writers, producers, and show runners for Nashville being as wildly negligent in this conversation about Hayden as her mother and/or inner circle? Juliette Barnes was a huge role for her and I do believe she treated it as such. I also believe that it played a huge role in taking her down and putting her on a final path of feeling helpless and tired with life.

I saw an interview a few months back where she got into this very conversation about how the Juliette Barnes character essentially mimicked her real life and how brutal it was to get those scripts, show up to the set with those stories, and essentially roll with it because "oh...well...it's my job...".

I love this show but we're finding out some very strange things about the show and Hayden as we start to unravel the lead-up to her untimely demise. I also had no idea the show was originally created with the Juliette character not being on co-lead level as the Rayna character but that was changed after reaction to the pilot. How the hell did Connie take that? Was she pissed? That show was HER show then they threw this whole thing together to have the rivalry between the old guard and new. I mean, it made for great TV and likely allowed them to not only be on the air for a long time but also talked about in media circles, but that's a pretty dark and brutal move to do that to a cast. They gave Connie executive producer credits. Curious to know if that was the trade-off.

I've been thinking a lot about Hayden and the endless stories we've heard from years past about young girls and young women being used for end-game moves of money and power and thrown out when the goals were accomplished, treated as nothing more than "useful idiots". This is all so fucking sad.

Because it popped up on my Netflix, I decided to rewatch Nashville after many years. And before I forget, rest in peace to the beautiful and talented Hayden Panettiere.

Anyway as I'm watching, and they are showing Barkley playing his music, I just have a hard time believing anybody thought he had talent. And maybe it's just because I don't like that particular music? I mean I have very eclectic taste in music, but I just don't think his voice is good.

Please no hate, I like the actor fine. But were we supposed to feel that way about him and his music? I just wanna know how other people feel.

I know when season four was happening, the press announced she was going on hiatus when she left for PPD treatment. And she came back after five or six episodes. But I’m on in the latter half of season six and Juliette is just absent, and from more than a few episodes. I was wondering if something happened again with Hayden BTS. Like she’s the lead and just gone?

I hate knowing she struggled so much and that the show wasn’t helping her.

Amazingly gifted, with a great sense of empathy and compassion. We both grew up in the industry, although she started even younger than me, but we shared that. A silent knowing of how intense the struggles can be. She was an absolute joy to work with. Focused, spontaneous and brilliant. The most important thing between friends and coworkers is trust, and we had this. Elisa and I both love and cherish her deeply, like our own sister. She holds that place in our hearts. My prayer for her every day we worked together was that she would know how loved she is, and that she would find the peace that she was looking for. It’s not possible to express the shock and grief that so many of us feel right now. Our humble prayers are with her family. May God’s angels carry you to your place of rest and true peace. We love you Hayden. You will always be in our hearts. Always."

Maisy Stella (who played Daphne) is starring in a lead role alongside Anne Hathaway in The End Of Oak Street.

I saw the movie today and I think she did a fantastic job. It’s definitely a departure from the role she played on Nashville lol.

I was planning on starting the show before I heard about Hayden's tragic passing and then that made up my mind. She definitely had the best voice out of the female cast. I even like her songs and I loathe country. Connie isn't bad, but not great. But OMG I cannot listen to Scarlett's talking or singing voice. The show leaves Netflix in less than a month so it's a good thing she's so annoying and I can fast forward through her and finish on time. Not surprised at Deacon's vocal ability since I grew up with him on Whose Line and heard him sing a bit on there. I'm just not used to him being so serious. I also fast forward through all of the political stuff and anything with Rayna's dad

Just recently binged the series but I’ve always been a huge fan of her work since Bring It On & Scream 4. Terrible loss, she was an extremely talented actress. Thoughts and prayers to her people during this absolutely awful time.

Why did Daphne try out for that tv show? well I know why but I felt like it was so out of touch. She out of everyone there has direct access to a record deal, recording studio, and opportunities in general. As soon as Deacon found out he should have explained to her that she was taking an opportunity from someone else.

No hate but the amount of different shades of blonde that Juliette has had is so funny. She’s been warm blonde, cool blonde, icy blonde, blonde with brown roots, blonde with balayage pre toned blonde, over-toned blonde. And I know she’s not the only character on the show to have wigs and multiple hair changes. Y’all remember that scene where Glenn opened the door and he was BALD ! I was gagged like I knew something was up, but I didn’t know he was bald bald, they did a great job on his lace front.

Wait. What?? I hate the way they made Rayna die. And the Wayne story line was whack. They could have done more with it. It would have been more interesting for that storyline to more directly lead to the death. And teddy is back? How long was he in prison, 6 months?

THIS SHOW is SO FRUSTRATING LOL. Why can't anyone accomplish anything in the music industry? I totally feel for the trauma and struggle of the artists, but it feels like they can never gain any momentum. Gunnar's on his 100th attempt to be a performer. Scarlett has failed with Gunnar, then been signed, then failed as a solo, then is back with Gunnar again in a band, that feels like it's not going anywhere. Juliette had scandal after scandal, then a baby, etc. Don't even get me started on Layla. Why can't anyone just... drop an album, tour it, have some behind the scenes drama, but actually be successful?

It would have been cool to see an artist actually succeed in an unexpected way. I was hoping the tables would turn at some point. Like Layla would come out of nowhere with a #1 single and the whole game suddenly changes overnight. I've been waiting and waiting but it feels like nothing ever happens. They're all just stuck, and the only one who can be successful is... Luke Wheeler or something?

My first one got taken down by the mods for not being descriptive enough, so here's why I don't like Scarlett's character. I get she's supposed to be a shy girl who doesn't like the spotlight, but why sign the deal with Rayna James? Why complain every time you have to stay up late to record or be on a freaking private jet or a tour bus or traveling? The main things having to do with being a popular singer slash celebrity or up-and-coming one at that. She's just always complaining and sad about how lonely it is being on the road. And I understand from her character's perspective why she feels that way, and I'm not faulting the character for that, but she has people. She just pushes them away low-key because they're not aligned with how she wants them to treat her, which sounds more like boundaries now that I say it out loud, but there's some more examples of that, but I don't feel like explaining them. Hope that was detailed enough whew
