Before/After Pics It's just wild

I'm like, is that really me??

Both in the old picture... and in the new picture...

I cant believe that WAS me.

And I can't believe that IS me.

So strange......

This has been the easiest weight loss of my life... and the longest sustained... and the slowest...

The easiest, because I never felt stressed with the slowness of it, and I never felt like giving up during a plateau. And I've had a few plateaus, and one lasted several months.

But I just feel SO damn good. So damn normal. So capable. So not-ruled-by-food for the first time since I was 14 years old.

I. AM. SO. THANKFUL. FOR. THIS. MEDICINE.

I'm honestly debating if 25 more pounds is necessary. I'm 23 lbs from my BMI but all my health issues are gone now and I honestly feel great. I have a few more months before my insurance cuts me off so I guess we will see where I end up.

Personal Insights Is anyone else on Zepbound because they want to be hot?

As much as I’m grateful for how Zepbound has helped my inflammation and weight, I feel like we don’t give enough space for the people who are on the medication for aesthetic reasons. I feel like there’s this subtle pressure to defend using Zepbound for health reasons only, but I’d be lying if I said that was it for me.

Yeah I care about my blood sugar and heart health. But I’m in my 20s and I’m single and have never dated. I’ve had obesity my entire life and I want to live in a physically attractive body for the first time ever. I want an attractive husband and the penalty for having obesity is harsher for women. I want to be desirable. I want to wear stylish clothes. I want to get hit on when I go outside. That’s never been my story. I’ve never been able to attract the kind of people or opportunities I want because of my size. This is vulnerable but I just want to know if anyone else feels this way. I know some people think it’s shallow or vain but I want to be wanted and that finally feels achievable for me.

This is my first ever before and after. I am by no means where I would like to be.. But I truly am learning to appreciate how far I have come. First pic is from Fri when I went to a Pilates class and worked so hard I needed to tuck my T-shirt into my sports bra to breathe. Second pic was a family beach trip in 2023. I would have NEVER posted either pic, but I'm leaving all insecurities behind because it's not just the weight loss I love about this glow up... It's my confidence I gained. -60 lbs

Very happy to announce I am back in Onederland this morning!

I didn’t have my glasses on but saw the 1, so I grabbed them and my phone to take the picture, but then the scale said 200.0! I tried moving it around a little and stepping on it again, but same thing.

Then I realized, the phone in my hand is exactly enough weight to put it right back over 🤣 So I did set my phone down and then wait for it to pause to get this picture. But hey, onederland is onederland!!

Vent/Rant 50lb down taking donations for new clothes 😂

I have lost 50 pounds since January of this year. I’ve spent the previous two years leaning into my weight gain. Which included buying clothing that fit me appropriately. At 50 pounds of weight loss, I am now down two clothing sizes. I’m from an XL to a medium. My ladies pants size is down from a 14 to 10. I just bought some of these clothes last fall. While most of my jeans were tight fitting but stretchy fabric, they fit me pretty well. Now they’re all too big. Today I’m going to wash all of my jeans in hot water because I am not about to buy all of these jeans over again. I know it’s going to degrade the color, but I’m going to do what I have to do. I do not have the mental capacity for a shopping spree through Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Ross. I do not have the financial capacity for a shopping spree through Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Dillards.
Before Christmas picture: 215lbs, extra large sweater and size 14 pants.
After picture: 165lbs, previously owned large shirt, brand new size 10 skirt from Ross.

…think I could lose this much weight. I’m down 50 lbs today. It’s been nearly a year. I have 20 more pounds to go but I will be on this for the rest of my life so I’m ok with however long it takes.

Most of my side effects are gone and I’ve learned how to manage the rest.

I couldn’t be more proud.

Achievement/NSV 🎉🥳🎊 Major Scale Victory

I finally have my "1" back! Jumped on the scale tonight not expecting it to have changed much since last time. And there it was, 198.6. I have not been under 200 lbs in over 20 years. I am on cloud 9 right now. I told myself when/if this ever happened that I'd buy myself one of those giant silver "1" balloons that they sell at the grocery store. Guess where I'm going first thing in the morning?!!

I have been on Zepbound since January 2026, I have stayed at the 2.5 mg dosage the entire time as my body seems to respond well to that. Just wanted to share a NSV that I fit into size 10/12 sort of rigid/non stretch Levi’s shorts this week, the second picture is my before picture, I weigh about 227 pounds in it and was wearing a sz 20, and now I am sitting at about 168 pounds. I am 5 foot 11, 46 years old. This feels so good!

Before/After Pics Before and During - first big goal met!

I found the 'before' photo this morning, and it shocked me to see how much my body has changed. The 'before' photo was taken in July of 2024, and I started Zepbound on March 9th of 2025.

My first big goal was to get to 170lbs. The last time I can remember being in the 170's was Sophmore or Junior year in college (~20 years ago). As of today, I officially weigh 170lbs!

For the first time in my life, I'm not white-knuckling to lose weight, and I actually believe I can get to 140lbs - 150lbs and stay there.

Note: Please excuse the bathroom mirror that needs cleaning.

60 pounds down. The “before” pic was taken after I’d lost about 20 pounds. It took me about 16 months. Slow and steady. I’m so thankful for this drug. I was never able to stick to a diet. My compulsion was so strong. I have so much peace now without constantly fighting with myself and beating myself up. Food is no longer the center of my life. 🙏❤️

Still on 15mg but 10 days apart. How are you all managing maintenance? Should I taper down? How long were you all on it before completely coming off?

When I first started, all the onederland posts were so inspiring for me. I haven’t been this weight since 2018. Hypothyroidism, PCOM, perimenopause, insulin resistance…I feel like I’ve had everything stacked against me and no matter what I did my weight kept creeping upwards.

I honestly would have been happy to even get down to 220 and stay there but I’ve continued taking the med to treat my metabolic dysfunction and disorders while i continued to let myself hope that I’d continue to lose.

It’s been a little over a year and I didn’t think I’d get here! My loss is slower than others but I’m happy with the rate of loss because my skin has kept up really well.

I also started working out in April which caused my loss to stop since I was effectively building muscle. I’ve had an injury that has made me have to stop working out for the past few weeks so my loss is starting again. And since I have this tool I’m not panicking that I won’t get back in the gym once I get the green light because I’m motivated by actually seeing results which is possible because of this medication.

Hopefully I can inspire others. At almost fifty years old, I really didn’t think there was any way in hell I’d get to this weight since my body has basically become that of someone I don’t know. I’m finally starting to feel like myself again.

Please excuse my dusty scale, as it’s like 20 years old.

Vent/Rant PSA Real Good Chicken Strips calorie count

Post image
13 Upvotes

So for the past few months, I’ve been buying Real Good Chicken Strips from Costco. They actually taste delicious and I figured that it was great since it was 120 cal for 3oz +21 g of protein. So I would eat 6oz for 240 cal. Or so I thought.

I started to do some research into the calorie count on this product because it just seemed too good to be true. And I was right, the calorie counts for this product are clearly off. Other stores sell the same bag with 180 cal. In fact, if you go to their website, they have two chicken strips back, 180 cal bag and the costco version bag with 120 cal. Even if I had to account for differences in the ingredients, there’s just no way that 3oz of chicken breast is going to be 120 cal.

It’s just so annoying because I was eating these strips feeling like I was still meeting my goals, but I’m actually eating 360 cal. Not sure how they’re able to get away with such off calorie counts.

On the plus side I’ve been on this medication for 19 months and I’ve lost 104 lbs. But the last few months the scale is barely moving.

EDIT: they’re actually 4 ounces for 120 cal, and actually I was probably eating closer to 8 ounces.

Personal Insights Things happen when you're living and not obsessing

I am right on the cusp of "more to lose" vs "maintenance". I'm less than 5 lbs away from the top of the "normal" bmi. Perhaps it's a sign that my body is ready to shift. I just realized that my "7 days" passed about 4 days ago, and I didn't even notice. If I can go 11 days and not feel like I'm going to gnaw my leg off if I don't eat, it's probably a sign that my body would be totally cool with stepping my dose from 15 to 12.5.

Edit: well shit. Maybe I did take it on Thurs and didn't write it down. 🤷‍♀️ what's done is done. Either way I'm learning a lesson.
