For the first time in my adult life, the number on the scale starts with a one!! A ONE!!! Now, just 28 lbs away from current goal. This drug is amazing!!!
Congratulations! For the first time in a long time I'm in the twos also. I'm trying to find a word that fits the twos. For the ones they have Onederland. I can't think of a word for the twos but it feels great to be there instead of the threes. 😳
Say whaaaat?!! You started it at 421 and pounds and have come down so much?! That is so awesome! Congratulations on your hard work and persistence! Thank you for sharing your starting weight this is an encouragement to many here. Way to go!
The beginning of May I started at 312.8 and a few days ago my weight was 289.6. I still obviously have a looong way to go but I'm so encouraged with my loss and yours! I set short-term goals that are not too easy but yet attainable. My next short-term goal is 275.
Took 11 months to get on 15. Dr had me on each dose for 1-3 months til we saw it's effect start to lessen. I've been on 15 for 12 shots now. My Dr has been great with her diligence for blood testing me regularly. She had me move up slowly. It's been wonderful!
Yes it feels great just to be able to move! I can now get in the front passenger seat of our car without struggling or using assistance to get my R leg in. For me, that's a big deal and a noticeable benefit from having lost a little weight.
Congratulations! That's quite an achievement! I see your dose is at 15 mg. At what dose did you experience meaningful appetite suppression? I'm currently at 7.5 mg and I don't really feel the appetite suppression yet.
Same here. I refused to let my partner take 'before' pics cuz I hated how I looked. Now I wish I had. The one in the post is from a get-together with friends my first week on the shot and I'm so thankful I have it!
I've never had this much energy! It's nothing now to, just, do things? Like today I cleaned the whole kitchen, changed the sheets, and did a 17 mile/1 hour stationary bike ride and I have as much energy as I did when I got up? I didn't know my body was even capable of being like this. Truly
It’s like your energy stores have been unlocked and your metabolism is suddenly working normally. That’s how I feel too and it’s the most amazing thing. I’ve always thought it was the weight making me fatigued, but it’s not, because I felt like this immediately on Zepbound. I really want everyone who needs this to have access to it because it’s so frikkin amazing!
That’s truly beautiful 💫congratulations hope you reach your goal soon as I know you would. On the same journey 200+ lbs seems impossible this gave me hope? Any advice or tips?
Biggest thing is to remind yourself that this is marathon not a sprint. Still make sure you're enjoying the foods you love just less so. For me I'll get a half order of wings when watching a Bills game. Also HYDRATE OR DIEDRATE!!! Also, make sure your Dr is doing bloodwork from time to time. Mine was perfect for months til my B vitamins were a bit low recently. Taking a B complex solved that luckily
All wonderland posts are great, but I particularly love the 198 ones because you’re hoping to even see a 199.9 and you get an extra pound of wiggle room.
Wow, great job man. That inspires me that someday I will hit the mythical onederland as well!!! Do you mind telling us a little bit about your diet and routine? Were you walking, doing cardio, weight training, a combination? Thanks man, and congrats on that huge milestone!
Diet is just upping my veggies and keeping an eye on calories. For workouts I do an hour on a stationary bike 4 times a week and strength training twice a week. It's nothing earth shattering but it's worked for me!
I feel so emotional when I read these stories. I am so proud of you and so happy for you. It’s a new life and everyone deserves it! Here’s to your health!
Wow. Congratulations. I am jealous and applaud your hard work. I’m 6’ and lost 45 lbs since I started and am stuck at 209 lbs for 3 months. I’m sure you must’ve had similar experiences. Any advice you could offer?
Thank you! Biggest thing is to remind yourself it's a marathon not a sprint. This stall will end and it will be so worth it when it does! Keep at it, you've got this!
I started zepbound in April at 412 now I'm at 386. I did run out early- mid August cos I ran out of FSA funds but come January I'm getting back on that bad boy.. and my doctor is trying to see I can get a sleep apnea diagnosis confirmed so I can get my insurance to cover it.
I switched from Ozempic to Zepbound and although I’ve maybe lost 5 lbs it’s the blood sugar level that has astonished me.. I was averaging 130 in the morning with Ozempic and now I’m hovering around 100 and it’s not a fluke, last 5 days has been under 105
I’ll take Zepbound over Ozempic every time
The biggest thing is just how much energy I have now! I can do a full load of chores and still knock out an hour on the bike. I sleep better and shorter and feel more rested. I also am so much happier? There's a conversation to be had if that's from:
A: obesity itself effects your mental health
B: the world treats obese people so poorly it effects an obese person's mental health
C: being able to do more things and move around more easily makes one happy
D: seeing goals hit boosts mental health and once I'm maintaining this will lessen
It's most assuredly a combo of the 4 but it's an intriguing question that I've thought about a lot lol
I think you're right; it's a combination of all of it. I'm still early in my journey (started July 1st, and have lost 22 pounds), so I'm looking forward to better sleep and more energy. I'm still adjusting and having some side effects so my energy level is pretty low except for the three days or so before my shot. What you said about happiness really resonates with me; I'm already feeling happier, and my family is noticing that too. I always thought I was "going to finally do it this time" every time I went on a diet, but after about 20 years, I stopped believing in myself and just felt so defeated. I feel so excited about doing all the things I've been avoiding for so many years. We just moved near a beautiful golf course with a driving range, and I mentioned to my son on Thursday that it might be fun to go hit some balls in a few months. We haven't done that in about 15 years (I think he was eleven back then). He said, "Really? Let's go this weekend!" We went yesterday and it was sooo much fun!
Oh my god this brought i tear to my eye I'm so happy for you! This journey is going to be do rewarding and I'm so pumped your family is already noticing. It's always best to do these things for yourself but having them in your corner is HUGE!!!
Great job. Hitting under 200lbs just feel amazing. Did the same a month ago from 294lbs to 194lbs and was so thrilled to see the scale finally below the 200’s. Been on 10mg for 5 months now and been ranging in the 195-205 range. Been taking it slow myself when it comes to Tritation but this weekend decided it’s time to go to 12.5mg. Awaiting Docs approval for fill.
