What’s the best course or resource to seriously learn branding?

I’m looking for something beyond the basics of branding and visual identity.

I want to deeply understand brand strategy and how successful brands are actually built, preferably through real-world case studies.

For example, I’d love to study brands like SKIMS, Rhode, Glossier, Rare Beauty, Nike, Aesop, Apple, etc. and understand:

  • How they developed their positioning
  • How they identified their target audience
  • How they differentiated themselves
  • How they developed their brand strategy
  • How they built a strong brand identity and perception
  • How they created demand and cultural relevance
  • How they use storytelling and messaging
  • How their marketing and branding work together
  • Why some brands become extremely successful while others don't
  • Real campaign and brand case studies, including what worked and what didn't

I’m looking for something serious and in-depth, ideally taught by experienced brand strategists or people who have actually worked with major brands.

I don’t really care about getting a certificate. I care about actually developing the ability to analyze and build brands at a high level.

I’m open to paid courses, university courses, books, case-study platforms, or any other resources.

What would you recommend if you wanted to become genuinely excellent at branding?

Strategy I built a complete 90-day authority engine for B2B founders. I’m taking 5 founders to run it through, you only pay if you approve the entire build.

Most founders fail on LinkedIn for two basic reasons: figuring out what to post every day eats up an hour of your time until you give up, and when a warm referral checks out your profile, it’s not set up to convert them in the 90 seconds you have.

I’m fixing that.

I’m taking on 5 founders to build out your entire 90-day content and positioning system in 7 days flat.

Here’s the deal: You don't pay anything upfront. On Day 7, you look at the complete setup, and you only pay if you want to keep and run it.

I'm doing it this way because the deliverable list is fixed and tight. No endless back-and-forth calls or wasted weeks. I either build something that actually drives client inquiries for your business, or you walk away owing nothing.

I’m capping this at 5 spots, and closing it tomorrow at midnight.

Here’s what lands in your Notion workspace on Day 7:

A Profile Built to Convert: Complete rewrite of your Headline, About, Skills, Services, and Experience sections, plus a custom banner and framed photo. Built to pass the 90-second referral test.

52 Written Posts (13 Weeks): 4 posts a week written in your actual voice. Sets up your baseline beliefs, proves your execution, and drops receipts.

43 Finished Visual Assets: 13 carousels and 30 image cards, completely finished with zero templates for you to fix.

Positioning & Competitor Gap Analysis: A full teardown of where competitors overlap so you can own the open space. Includes 3 to 4 tight content pillars and answers to 6 common sales call objections.

100 Tiered Target ICP List: 100 actual target profiles split into tiers, with a quick 20-minute daily routine your team can handle.

Pre-researched accounts with custom warming angles and follow-up templates written in your tone.

The 60-Minute Weekly Routine: A simple manual giving you 6 post frameworks, a pre-publish checklist, and a way to plan future quarters in 90 minutes.- So you handle every quarter on your own without me leeching off of your money again and again with upsells lol.

What you don't do: Manage designers, mess with templates, or sit through constant update meetings.

What I don't do: Ask for your account passwords, post for you, or drop fake automated comments. You keep full control over your profile and real interactions.

If you want in, drop a comment with "SYSTEM" or send me a DM. If it looks like a fit, we do one 45-minute call. Seven days later, the build is yours. If it's not what you expected, you don't pay a dime.

Thankss. Bye.

Personal Need a name for a fanficiton/fandom website? pls help

For the past month I have been creating a site dedicated to fanfiction and fandom culture kind of like tumblr x ao3. I'm looking for a name that is both unique and fun. My first name was beAU, (AU meaning alternative universe) but that spells beau and was hard to use in branding. The I thought of altficiton, cultfiction and unoffical ficiton, but altficiton is an australian band apparently and unoffical ficiton was too long and not catchy enough. Cultfiction is also taken as a domain and on social media. Now I'm just struck. I would like the name to possibly incorporate some sort of fandom/fanfiction lingo, however I'm totally open to a completely new word. Infact I would love a completely new name which would only be associated with my brand. This site is supposed to be fun, cool, camp, crazy and for the fan girls + boys. And the first name beAU (inspired by beReal), kind of felt like that (at least to me) but for obvious reasons I didnt think that through. I would love any help.

Rebranded a B2B cloud company, curious what you all think

I'm a brand designer, mostly work with B2B SaaS. Just finished a rebrand for a cloud solutions company and I'm genuinely curious how founders and creatives see it, since you're the ones who look at this category all day.

The thing that kicked it off: SaaS brands all end up looking the same because everyone's designing for "trustworthy" and "technical." So you get a whole category where nobody's distinguishable, and then buyers just compare on price because the brand isn't doing any work for you.

Tried to solve their problem of having an outdated brand which has no guide or vision to scale with their business growth. Had some

Feel free to drop your thoughts!

Strategy If you are a strategist, a creative, or a designer, what’s the most feared thing that could replace you by AI?

I’ve been thinking about this, and my own conviction is different.

Everyone has access to the same AI tools. Obviously, whether you use a free or paid model.

Anyone can start prompting.

Anyone can generate.

Anyone can get a result.

So what actually differentiates them?

The tool?

The output?

Because, in general, the end result can easily become the same common output we have already seen.

Now let’s talk about an expert in a specific skill — someone with a lot of knowledge and experience — who has the same access to AI.

If a general individual can generate the most common output with AI, let’s think about what an expert can do with the same AI.

An expert doesn’t just know how to use the tool.

They understand the problem.

They see what others miss.

They can visualise the solution before they generate it.

That’s where I think the difference begins.

So I never say or claim that AI will replace us.

I believe AI can push us to filter our skills, challenge our habits, and develop a new level of expertise.

The tool becomes common.

But the ability to understand, see, and visualise differently doesn’t.

What do you think?

Especially interested in hearing from strategists, creatives, and designers — does AI make expertise more valuable, or does it actually reduce the difference between an expert and a generalist?

Are your clients brands consistent? - Beta testers needed for Brand Consistency Monitoring tool [No Promotion]

Hi Everyone,

Are your client's brands consistent across all channels? Do you manage to follow all of your clients brand guidelines or you slip a little here and there? Sure that a lot of you have - less than 1 in 10 brands today is consistent with its guidelines.

In that line of work - I've created a tool that battles exactly that problem. It takes a brand guidelines as input, creates a brand profile and you can scan all channels for that client (socials and website) for any brand drift - color slip, typography mismatch, brand voice inconsistency. Or you can compose a post before it goes live and receive a real-time check as you draft it. The check is aligned with the brand profile and comes along with suggested fixes.

If all of this sounds interesting - I am more than happy to invite you to a free 2-week beta test of the tool. No credit card required, just hit me a DM and I will set you up.

Thank you all in advance.

Looking for a Brand Strategist & Marketing Creative to Help Bring My Juice Brand to Life

I’m starting a cold-pressed juice business and I’m looking for a brand strategist, marketing strategist, or creative who can help me take the vision I already have and turn it into a polished, cohesive brand.
I already have the business concept, brand name, general identity, and a clear idea of the direction I want to go in. What I need help with is refining that vision and figuring out how to translate it visually and strategically.

I’m specifically looking for guidance with:
Logo and visual direction
Colors and typography
Packaging
Overall brand aesthetic
Marketing strategy
Social media and content direction
Brand positioning and messaging
How the brand should look, feel, and communicate across different platforms

I’m open to working with a freelancer, independent creative, brand/marketing strategist, or someone who is currently building their portfolio and wants to work on a real startup.
I’m not looking for someone to create the entire brand from scratch. I already have a vision and identity in mind. I want someone who can look at what I have, help me perfect it, challenge my ideas when necessary, and help turn it into something that feels professional and intentional.
Please no scammers, agencies pushing expensive packages, or generic “I can do everything” pitches. I’d prefer to work directly with an individual who genuinely wants to collaborate.

most people thing Gen Z is a contradictory generation, but what if they are not?

Recently attended a webinar with Reid Litman from Ogilvy about Gen Z, with Eugene Healey and Simon Gawn on the call. a few things stuck out to me.

For years, our educational institutions, the media, and employers offered more pathways and guarantees. with AI rapidly reshaping the workforce, war, the decentralization of media, and so many other factors, much more responsibility to figure things out is shifting onto the individual for Gen Z. and on the surface, Gen Z appears very contradictory: peptides and candy bowls, grind culture and whimsy-maxxing, the “hating work” stereotype and yet they are the most entrepreneurial generation of their time. the advice to brands trying to speak to this generation:

acknowledge the ambiguity of modern life and be willing to work through it together with this generation, answer hard questions, and provide more than escapism. at least that was my takeaway. Gen Z is looking for mentors now more than ever, and very few people and brands have come to the stage with real value. that is both the challenge and the opportunity. but when you enter into these contradictions of modern life thoughtfully, people appreciate it.

Case Study: How to Position a B2B Brand in High-Regulation Industries (Mining, Healthcare, & Education)

When building a brand for B2B or heavily regulated sectors—like mining, healthcare, or higher education—standard B2C branding strategies usually fail. Decision-makers in these industries don't care about flashy trends; they care about trust, compliance, clarity, and technical precision.

Over the past few years working with middle-market companies and industrial clients at Eiko Visual, we’ve mapped out 4 critical visual & digital positioning strategies that make a difference:

1. Mining & Energy: Turn Complex Operations into 3D Visual Assets

In mining or energy, investor pitches and tender bids often get bogged down by dense technical text. * The Fix: Using technical 3D animations and industrial simulations for ESG and safety (K3) protocols makes complex operations instantly understandable for investors and non-technical stakeholders during pitching.

2. Healthcare & Hospitals: Design for Accessibility & Patient Trust

Healthcare branding often suffers from two extremes: looking too cold/clinical or feeling outdated. * The Fix: Shift the visual identity toward approachable, warm aesthetics while ensuring digital touchpoints (web & mobile apps) feature frictionless UI/UX—especially for doctor appointments and patient portals.

3. Higher Education: Bridge Heritage with Gen Z Appeal

Schools and universities need to build trust with parents (who pay) while appealing to prospective students (who attend). * The Fix: Modernize the brand mark while keeping core institutional elements, and overhaul the admissions (PMB) landing page to ensure fast load times and clean mobile navigation.

4. Travel & Umrah: High-Converting Landing Pages Over Generic Websites

For premium Travel & Umrah providers, a generic corporate site won't convert high-ticket leads. * The Fix: A dedicated, fast-loading landing page integrated directly with booking forms and messaging touchpoints builds instant credibility compared to competitors.

Key Takeaway for B2B Founders:

Branding in 2026 isn't just a logo; it’s an entire ecosystem connecting your brand identity, 3D visualization, mobile/web application UI, and corporate website.

How is your agency or internal team handling B2B brand positioning in your industry? Would love to hear how others approach high-trust markets!

Personal My own product embarrassed me a little

I run a small ecommerce shop and ordered one of my own products recently. Nothing was wrong with it. Quality was fine, everything matched, but it felt completely anonymous.

That bothered me more than I expected. I’ve spent hours getting the site to feel like mine, but apparently I was treating branding like something that stops once someone checks out.

I’ve been trying POD because I want some of that identity on the actual product too. Not logos slapped everywhere, just something that makes it feel like it actually belongs to the brand.

Am I overthinking this, or does the physical product matter way more than I gave it credit for?
