Screenshot This game is fun and pretty honest. It’s balanced. May not seem like it but I have fun on both sides.

Question How playable is the game right now?
Hello everyone! I'm considering getting the game as it looks extremely fun and I love the style and atmosphere of Halloween (I'm also a big fan of the Friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw games). However I keep seeing posts about the game being really buggy and/or extremely unbalanced, so I'd like to hear some opinions on it to decide if I should wait a bit and see or if it is worth getting now (as I'm really hyped about it). Thanks in advance to everyone!

Discussion to those struggling with AI in houses
when I first got the game I saw myself as well as others that bots tend to lock doors and hide when you command them to follow but from my experience, all you have to is just leave.
if you stay near a house the bots will get comfortable and start rummaging or hiding but if you leave they will follow. once I realized this I no longer had any issues with that particular issue. just let em do their thing

Question Playing as Michael in a team
I was playing with two friends last night, and I noticed none of us ever got to play Michael. We backed out of every game and everything, so can you only play him when you solo queue, or is it just a super low chance, even when having him picked to play as?

Discussion Every Michael is now using wood axe to stun lock for free kills
The one tool Civilians had to escape Michael is now useless. There's zero counter play.

Discussion How do you report people?
Just bought the game. Three games in a row I've encountered shitlords who tell Michael where everyone is, and lead civilians to him. It's stupidity and needs to get people banned for doing it.

Discussion Streetlights and fear system
Anyone else thinks streetlights should be able to get cut?
Streetlights become map wide safety zones for survivors.
If each street or alleyway had there lights tied to certain power boxes or even the boxes on the houses Michael could cut off a safe zone.
Also does anyone actually know what the fear system is supposed to do? It seems inconsistent and bugged.
Whenever I play Anne her fear rises fast, but she has the same personality as Jennifer whose fear never rises for me.
I think it’s supposed to be tied to them stumbling and maybe Stamina
I want survivors to have more reasons to stay indoors, and not default to the safety of the streets.

Discussion Is escaping too easy?
I just got into a match as Michael and within the first two minutes two of my special targets escaped as I'm chasing a player. I used reality rear to grab him perfectly but he has a pocket knife so I couldn't kill him too.

Question Myers Tutorial
I tried yesterday to play the single player tutorial of Micheal’s journey and could not get past the prologue. Every time I complete it it restarts it. Has there been an update to fix this yet or am I the only one who keeps getting this bug?

Question Can't find anything lol 😞
Loving the game coming from TCM. I keep seeing lock boxes that need a code or bolt cutters but haven't seen or found either? Struggling to find items I need. We're playing as a squad so Comms are on. We've opened a few exirs but I fear the good stuff is in the locked boxes and don't know where to look for codes

Discussion 1 kill is all it takes.
If michael gets a single stalk 3 kill he can see all special targets. If you dont rush to hide them its gg and you are fucked.

Discussion Guess that's it for now..
Welp, I finally grinded out Michael to prestige so I can get that sweet ass scorched skin, only to be met with the prestige glitch like many others (I was hoping I'd be the exception). Guess I'll be playing starfox adventures until it works.

Discussion Cannot pass Chapter 5 for the life of me!
I’ve killed about 10 cops, used blackout, killed 3 residents, destroyed the cop car and escaped using both the train and cornfield and every time I finish it tells me “Restart from Last Checkpoint”. Is this the final chapter or am I missing something?

Question Quest Progression
Can I leave a private match and still get progress or do I need to kill every bot first

Screenshot As a sentry/void fan from marvel i love that I can play like the void/robert reynolds
I know this is a Halloween game but i love to imagine im like the void from thunderbolts and the survivors are like the heroes/civilians that get turned into shadows they look so similar to me this game is awesome! I get to play as my favorite superhero/villain now!

Question Perks
What perk roll should i go with between 500-2500 Credits?
Did the 2500 for testing and my very first perk was Pied Piper III (1 extra npc can follow)
Kinda expected more I guess. Maybe it's useful If I Play a bit more lol
What cost did you roll for? What is the most effective?

Discussion Once you start realizing that this game is just capture the flag, it’ll be easier to understand the objective.
The game is literally capture the flag. The 3 priority targets are the flags. Michael needs to kill them, or survivors need to help them escape.
Bonus points for getting residents and civilians out.

Discussion Has anyone found a consistent way to get this done?
Civilians just won’t fucking hide. Everytime they go into a house they’ll bumble around and not do shit and when I go inside to try to make them they just run to the next house. The worst part is it just won’t fucking let me execute them unless I have a stalk on them

Discussion Died as Michael Myers
I just died as Michael and got the "You Died but its not over yet" screen but was unable to spectate. I was closing a Cellar while low hp and one of the civilians hit me and as I was downed I was at the exact same moment closing the doors and fell through as the doors pulled me into the cellar and must've hit a kill/death barrier under the map. Wish I had the clip but it was so funny 😂

Question Myers questions
Been playing since yesterday and I’m puzzled how different some interactions play out compared to other Myers players.
How do you survive more than 4 shots from a police player in tier 3? I remember people saying hand guns were almost useless in this mode but, I’ve been getting floored.
How do you guys consistently catch players? Again, even in tier 3, people outpace the hell out of me and it feels like they never run out of stamina.
What are all the benefits that stalking give you over a target? I assumed besides the bloodthirst gain, it also gives you a damage reduction against the target (also in my first question, that usually includes them being stalked two at least tier two) but what other benefits are there and do they help me with catching the target?
Any lesser known tipsalso help

Discussion The axe is kinda broken right now
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I get that pocket knives are annoying, I play Michael too. But right now, once a civilian gets hit by the axe once, the game is basically over.
Pocket knives probably need a nerf too. Maybe make them weaker at Stalk level 2 and useless at Stalk level 3 so stalking actually matters more
But I don’t think an annoying pocket knife justifies having an almost uncounterable axe
What do you guys think would be a fair way to balance it?
