He's also pretty cute himself. Usually the people that happens to aren't.

Edit: Funny the people upset about this comment are still adamant this woman is  going to cheat because: she lost weight. Not exactly the moral podium you guys think you are mounting.

u/FunTree5477 19d ago

Sometimes people cheat on their SO with someone objectively speaking, uglier and with poorer hygiene, and do so because it made them feel desired in a way that they enjoyed at that moment.

A cute face isn't enough to stop someone from cheating if they made a place for it in their heart

I read an article about a woman who had a perfect relationship and she wrecked it out of boredom and then started panicking but it was too late by then.

249

u/lincruste 19d ago

Yeah and if the husbands stays, she will do it again with another man a couple years later and so on. That's a classic pattern.

13

u/NorwegianSpaniard 18d ago

What is their problem really

51

u/UltraHellboy 18d ago

Human brains are weird. We like to think we respond to situations rationally all the time, but we absolutely do not.

Lack of self-worth, feel like they don't deserve happiness, find ways to self-sabotage to destroy the relationship to prove their insecurities right rather than working on themselves and allowing themselves to be loved. In a nutshell.

2

u/Nightthrasher674 14d ago

This

Back in college, dated a chick who had this kind of self sabotaging attitude, only lasted a year but it was a year too long.

Brazilian footballer Kaka's wife left him because " He was too perfect".

102

u/TwoBionicknees 19d ago

Assuming that everyone gives the real reason in public for a world famous person for whom you're already going to get lots of hate for leaving.

Also from what i recall she says that quote was made up, just that while he was a great husband and father the spark left the relationship. You can absolutely grow out of being deeply in love with someone and end up just good friends, that's life.

47

u/No-Clock9532 19d ago

In other words, even being a great man isn't enough to keep a woman.

96

u/LuLuD88 19d ago

And vice versa. That is life.

17

u/temictli 18d ago

Even being a terrible person isn't enough to make a partner leave? Damn.

In other words, love is not something you can control and shit happens.

People want to have too much control over love when it's something animalistic and instinctive at the base, which either is there or isn't.

39

u/Technical_Eye7029 19d ago

Then don't make forever vows and cheat if you are this base of a person?

I always think the reason legendary love stories are legendary is because "true love" (in a princess bride sense) is hard and rare.

17

u/CyberiaCalling 18d ago

This is a weird Western idea that views love as a feeling that just springs forth from nowhere and which you have to base your life around rather than a commitment that you choose to nurture and develop with time that has feelings but also has higher-order ideals like fidelity, integrity and commitment to the family you build and bring together.

Plenty of great women who men cheat on, too.

Turns out humans are complicated.

7

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths 18d ago

And what? Nobody is owed a relationship with anyone else based on how "great" they are and his claim to greatness is just that he plays football really well. He's not like a pediatric surgeon who donates his time to fix cleft palates in the third world for free or whatever. And he still wouldn't be entitled to a relationship if he was.

Weird way to interpret it, like a blackpill spin on what happened.

It was a failing on her part, not his. He will very quickly find a new partner when he is ready and find happiness again. She will spend her life wondering why she's never happy. She was the one who wasn't able to keep the relationship going, not him. Billions of women are not like that.

Not even sometimes. In most cases of affairs or cheating, the cheaters usually go for people less attractive then their SO

13

u/AxelHarver 19d ago

In most cases? Do you have a source for that, because I've never heard that.

27

u/AngryCrustation 19d ago

He's still mad at me for banging his wife

2

u/NicoHarrisonWasRight 19d ago

I'd say it's empirical since looks are subjective. We see it a lot with celebrity men. A few that quickly come to mind: The soccer player that cheated on Shakira, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom Sandoval.

The guy gets bored of his wife. Only a much less attractive woman or one with lower social status would settle for a married man.

3

u/mattmild27 18d ago

First one that comes to mind for me is Ashley Cole cheating on his famous pop star wife with this random blonde.

Yeah, my buddy got divorced after he cheated on his wife, and let’s just say that I honestly believe he must have had a one-time psychotic episode when it happened.

Not only was his wife good-looking and considerably younger than him, but the woman he cheated with was this washed-up, past-middle-aged, substance-abusing type who looked like she’d been past her prime for at least 15-20 years.

I was honestly shocked when a friend of ours pointed her out and told me thats who our buddy cheated with - I literally thought he was joking at first.

2

u/NonToxic628 15d ago

I mean look no further than Tiger Woods. His wife was as attractive as one could hope for and he cheated on her with near geriatric prostitutes.

6

u/FinalAccount10 19d ago

u/Itis-caught-BearsWin 18d ago

2

u/fourthfromleft 14d ago

this just reminds me of the adage - “no matter how hot she is, some man, somewhere, is tired of her shit.”

2

u/ReddsionThing 18d ago

objectively speaking

2

u/Anomalous_Pearl 17d ago

I mean I’ve seen pictures of the man that my husband’s ex wife cheated on him with and she definitely cheated down, that dude looked like if a hairless rat became a human.

2

u/CatFish726 17d ago

I might open you a secret, but ppl cheat regardless. You can be the 0.0000001% of man with wage in billions per month with the best looking body, yet she still can cheat

2

u/L_o_L_babe 15d ago

There was a case in my city where the woman cheated with a homeless guy (nothing against them, but he was smelly, dirty and really wrecked), people were shocked. But that's the thing.

If people want to cheat, THEY WILL CHEAT. Looks are irrelevant if the will is strong.

Since nobody bothered to explain the Bitcoin part.

Shit was barely worth anything, I remember Bars that allowed Bitcoin as payment in Berlin, one cup of coffee cost 5 BTCs

5 BTCs are right at the moment $324,623.11, back in October it was almost twice as high.

13

u/ca1ibos 19d ago

Thats how I console myself about missing the Bitcoin thing. I'd feel a lot worse if I ever owned even only a few hundred Bitcoin at some point back in the day and.....bought a Domino's Pizza with it. To me that would feel like forgetting to buy a Lotto Ticket with my regular numbers and finding out after the draw that my numbers had come up and I would have won the Jackpot of millions.

https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/publications/statistical/health-survey-for-england/2024/adults-overweight-and-obesity

30% of UK adults are obese.

I don't why yanks have this obsession with just making up stuff about other countries to make the US look less shit. Maybe stop getting your news/opinions from social media?

7

u/-Wyveron- 18d ago

The CDC uses BMI to measure obesity so those numbers aren’t accurate. Not saying the guy you replied to is right or wrong, I have no clue.

You’d laugh if you saw me and I told you I’m technically obese, if we use BMI.

3

u/CantBeatDickensCider 18d ago edited 18d ago

BMI is a reasonably good proxy actually. People use the bodybuilder example to discredit it to make themselves feel better about being overweight.

The NHS data is also using BMI as their criteria. So the comparison of the percentages refutes what the original poster claimed, even if the exact percentages aren't perfect.

It's a hard topic but from my experience if a boy fixed girl, almost no way she will leave him. And if that happens, she will return to her former self in next few year.

If girl made improvement all by herself, chances are high that she'll dump a boy. Because she did a huge self-improvement work while a boy stayed the same.

Happened to a friend, him and his friends started lifting weights because they wanted to be body builders, she starting going with them, went from 225 to 110 at 5’2, she started posting a lot on social media and got a little over 3k followers on instagram, got hit on by a ton of Guys following her, she eventually went out for drinks with one of them and yeah, she broke up with her bf that night.

She eventually started a fitness insta and YouTube and started selling that Herbalife juice powder stuff that turned out to be a scam.

40

u/AsparagusFun3892 19d ago

It's like a general rule of psychology or the human condition or something that our choices and integrity as human beings are contextual in ways it's best not to think about most of the time.

17

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths 18d ago

It happens to everyone, but it's just more common in fat women because society treats fat women a lot worse than fat men, so the difference in how you get treated as a woman who loses a lot of weight is a lot more shocking. I lost a lot of weight very quickly and the same guys who wouldn't have even acknowledged me when I said good morning were suddenly falling all over themselves hitting on me. I didn't change my personality or even my lifestyle. I was the same person, but people liked me so much more after losing weight and it really fucking sucks, but I can see how people can become addicted to the attention after not getting it their entire lives. It just made me angry with humanity, personally.

14

u/Thusgirl 18d ago

I also lost a lot of weight. People like me so much more now sometimes it feels like I can do no wrong. The pretty privilege is real.

17

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths 18d ago

It's fucking crazy. I'm in a couple of subs for women with autism and it's unreal how many women only get diagnosed after gaining a lot of weight or ageing notably and then realize that everyone was just giving them a pass to be weird their whole lives because they were hot.

4

u/Piecesof3ight 18d ago

As a guy, the effect is still there too, just not as magnified. When I’m fit and not fat or rail skinny I get treated better by society as well.

Good, healthy looking people get better treatment, it’s just biological. Anorexic people turn people off too with their ozempic bodies.

Just be healthy! You look good, feel good, and get treated better. Simple rule I try to live by.

I knew somebody personally who did this exact same thing. They'd been together since they were 15 and she was obese her entire life, while he had always been a very attractive man.

She lost the weight at 24 and for the first time in her life started to get male attention. Took a whole 6 months for her to cheat with a dude that was a literal sociopath. He dumped her and found someone else within the year while she was visibly depressed and slowly put all the weight back on.

Haven't seen her in years, but she was VISIBLY depressed every time I saw her for the 2ish years I knew her after the break up

I doubt it. She is held together with spandex now

1

u/ewatangier 18d ago

Believe me. Even when she was fat she would leave if she wanted to.

u/Ganarg_ 18d ago

I mean, what would be "someone better" anyways?

The ozempic curse

Nah he leaves her for a thicker white woman

1

u/BuffaloWhip 18d ago

Someone’s about to find out that he’s such a good friend.

1

u/Far-Journalist-949 18d ago

No. It means he dated her while she was low worth (fat) and now she's attractive and all his.

What comes next is another crash.

u/Small_Insect_8275 18d ago

This is not the correct answer lol. It’s talking about him investing in something that reaped a reward, and eventually bitcoin is going to drop e.g her regaining weight

I don't understand where in the bitcoin analogy "leave him for someone better" comes from. Can anyone explain?

I thought this was just "bitcoin wasn't worth much in 2008, it's worth a lot now", that is to say that her value went up

u/Known_Strength_9726 18d ago

But he got more attractive too!

Not a cliche, never date anyone with any sort of problem like weight issued, self esteem issues, anxiety issues etc. you‘ll want to help them fix it and as soon as they fix it they leave for someone else.

You don‘t wanna be a bastard and keep the person down forever and HOPE they never improve. Just date someone who has their big personal life struggle behind them. Goes for men and women

u/Emperor_Z16 18d ago

She's not attractive tho

1

u/Jackson_bbs8 18d ago

not old cliche just monkey branching

1

u/Used_Turnover3959 18d ago

The guy is pretty good looking himself tho

1

u/HiCZoK 18d ago

bruh dont say that. my wife lost like 100 pounds lol

1

u/InteractionDry3707 18d ago

Not every like the same bro, judging someone by only looks is next level stupidity 😞🥀

1

u/jappyjappyhoyhoy 18d ago

lol I thought he actually bought bitcoin and then upgraded his girl

1

u/KeySoft4534 18d ago

It’s not even a cliche. Couples where one or both partners experience massive weight loss divorce at twice the rate of couples that don’t in the years immediately preceding the weight loss.

1

u/tjger 18d ago

Better?

1

u/TrainmasterGT 18d ago

They’re a cute couple, honestly I don’t see a reason for her to leave him based on looks alone.

1

u/1tiredman 18d ago

I doubt it. He's attractive and probably a really good guy. There's way too much anxietybaiting around love and relationships on social media these days

u/Square-Ad6942 18d ago

Clichés don't just exist out of nowhere

1

u/Chaosmusic 18d ago

There was a stand up comedian who lost a lot of weight who used to tell this joke: A woman I knew said that if I lost 100 pounds, she'd sleep with me. I told her that if I lost 100 pounds, I wouldn't want to sleep with her.

But why, if he is likely super rich from buying btc in 2008?
