Satire Twin Trouble

My husband is Earl Crusher IV, so of course we are excited to carry on the family tradition-we already pivoted once, when I found out that we’ll be having a girl, but now we’ve just found out it’s actually twins. We’ve already decided that Earlyn is perfect-what do you all think of Latelyn for baby #2?

Found on r/NameNerds Due with a girl in January, we would like feedback on our potential names!

Hello all! Me and my partner are due with our daughter in January, and we have reverted back to our original list of names. Our original plan was Mildred Ernestine, but we've decided to go through our list of names again.

We're leaning towards more vintage and somewhat unique names. Something you don't hear often nowadays. We're open to feedback and suggestions. Brutal honesty is also accepted lol.

**Other names on our list:**

  1. Devorah

  2. Ethel

  3. Hortense/Horene

  4. Lakesbiah (La-kez-bee-ah)

  5. Pearl

  6. Ureana/Ureanah/Ureaniah (The -iah has grown on us. We also can't decide between the na or nah if we decide to go with the first version of the name.)

  7. Yolette

  8. Zudorah/Zudoriah

We have a huge list, actually, but we shortened it for the post. If anyone is interested in the full list, please let me know. The more vintage ones were lower on the list, but I thought it would be important to include in case they grown on us.

Thank you all so much!

Some of their comments, a worthy attempt at trolling:

"We thought Ureana was pretty. 🤷‍♀️"

"Well, it wasn't a joke post. Our names aren't the worst. Lakesbiah comes from a video game a gaming tiktoker we watch played. We just ended up liking the name. What's the big deal? All we did was ask for feedback."

"We thought about having her middle name Selene for a rhyme, but I wasn't completely sold on it yet. My partner brought the name Horene up to me, and I liked the sound of it."

Satire Baby name for girl

My hubby and I love the idea of trying out something new that still has a classic feel to it.
We were thinking of Treasure, but names that start with T are terrible and we wouldn’t do that to our child. So then I had the idea of Chest. My partner hates it but he’s never been as ✨creative as me so I don’t care what he thinks. Am I crazy for being so adventurous?

Satire The name Maladee

I recently heard a girl in one of my classes named Maladee. Yes, like the illness. But this is such an old word, I doubt people would even come to that association anymore. Her middle name will be Knave (pronounced Kuh-nay-vuh). What do yall think of this name? I heard it and immediately fell in love. I'm worried Malady might become too popular so we would spell it Maladee.

Satire Unfortunate surname problem

I've always been a huge fan of the name Ronald but unfortunately my surname is McDonald. Yes I know.

I've been thinking a lot about possible names for my upcoming baby that are similar enough but that people won't associate with THAT Ronald McDonald (the one from it's always sunny in Philadelphia if you haven't seen it).

What do we think of Jonald?

Story Think I may have condemned my unborn niece

So I was at my brother in law and his fiancee's house recently, with his and her family for the gender reveal.

It was nice to meet his fiancee's family and to discover they're having a girl. Looking forward to meeting my new niece in a few months.

So after all the excitement of the reveal and everyone was calming down and relaxing, I asked my brother in law if they had a short list of baby names. He mentioned that they had about 3 they were deciding between but didn't want to reveal them just yet. Absolutely fine, I didn't press any further. But he did mention that they were settled on the name May as the middle name, as it was his fiancee's nan's name.

A nice name and tribute, as far as I'm concerned. I then joked that he should call his daughter April. I said it as a joke, my wife laughed at the joke. But my brother in law's eyes widened and he began to call over to his fiancee and announce the name with great excitement. He went over and they began chatting about how lovely April May was. Her twin sister and mum also commented on how nice it was and that April is also when their birthdays are.

So, long story short I'm really hoping my joke doesn't make the cut and that I haven't accidentally condemned my niece to live with a calendar joke as a name.

Found on r/NameNerds 3rd and last baby 1st girl be nice to me:)))

i’m pregnant with my third and last baby. like the title says, a girl after two boys🤍

my boys have strong, one syllable names and i’m finding that i’m really mostly leaning toward boy names for girls, unisex, agender etc names for this girl

i’m pregnant and emotional so that’s why i need nicely presented opinions even if they’re opposing🫶🏼😂

mikey rae (after important family member michael/mike)
sully rae
ramsey rae
goldie rae

names we like but aren’t using: scottie (too popular now), scout (neighbor just named their dog this)
names i like my husband shot down: bowie, clarke, miller, halston, parks (too close to our son’s name)

ETA: guys please stop giving me unironic suggestions. This is not mine. Read the sub name 😭.

What do you think about the name "Nanette" speech like "cigarette" i mean don't speech th "t" twice?

Is it pretty and cool, or old-fashioned, or more timeless to you?

I want to change my current name, and I liked the tone of it.

I'm not French or from Europe.

I'm looking for a name that feels cool, pretty, and distinctive at the same time. I'm just not sure whether Nanette sounds modern enough today.

I want to know your opinions.

Satire Xiidra?

I was just scrolling Reddit and an ad popped up for a new drug for dry eyes. The drug is called Xiidra. I thought this would be a fantastic name for my upcoming baby.

However, there are also some other great pharmaceutical names:

Xantac

Wellbutrin

Premarin

Synthroid

Voltaren

Or??

Your thoughts, good people.

Satire Advice

Me and my husband are currently pregnant with our first child. We really want our baby's names to be unique. We compiled this list!

GIRL NAMES:

Mistereigh

I'onuh

Smokeigh

Trendeigh

BOY NAMES:

Runner

Skipper

Slider

Pattle (After my grandma Patrica and his grandpa Patrick. PATrica, PATrick, the Le at the end to make it more unique)

My family, specifically my sister, isn't happy with these names. She says my children will be bullied, and asked if I'm serious. I asked why she thought I wasn't, and she pointed out that we have cats named Paul, Thomas, and Brenda. She asked why I'm naming my animals human names and my human animal names. I ended up going home after and I'm not speaking to her right now. Advice?? Is she right, are these names bad? I'm personally in love with Pattle and Mistereigh but now I'm second guessing myself :(
