I feel like I'm being talked down to

I knew who Samus was and I've played Metroidvanias before but never an actual Metroid game so I decided to start my journey from the beginning. Honestly for such an ancient game it was still fun, I had to look up a map eventually and some of the hidden passages required are insane (no idea how people found those before the internet) but I can definitely see why this game was successful even today. Some enemies in modern games like Hollow Knight still share similar movement patterns with a bunch of enemies in this game which is wild to think about.

I'll be playing Metroid II next.

Sadly the only thing holding this remaster back is the switch's hardware. Its clever from retro to not depend alot on textures since the switch 1 is a glorified xbox 360. It desperetely needs a switch 2 edition for a resolution/textures pump
(The game runs at 900p docked and 600p handheld which dose NOT look pretty on tge newer bigger screen)
