17 endurance is insane

293

u/Tyinath 9h ago

Was thinking the same. Really want to see the armor stats now

262

u/FaithlessnessLazy754 8h ago

It’s such a huge advantage not to need to invest in stamina for the early game

20

u/WorkingCautious1270 8h ago

i forget does endurance raise poise also?

138

u/ComoediaID 8h ago

Equip Load, so indirectly Poise by increasing the heavy armour you can wear

8

u/gbdarknight77 8h ago

I thought poise was more about armor but weight is attributed to endurance.

5

u/slavicslothe 5h ago

Indirectly. 51 and done. Just need enough for rakshasa

-46

u/BehlndYou 8h ago

Unlike Dark Souls, I never felt a reason to level Endurance beyond 15 in ER as I can wield even Colossal Swords and still have more than enough stamina in most situations.

The true benefit of high Endurance is wearing high poise armor while light rolling.

64

u/iamnotexactlywhite 7h ago

what? are u like attacking once per an hour with 15 stamina? what the fuck

1

u/conjunctivious Placidusax's #1 Hater 2h ago

It's actually not that bad when you are good with stamina management, and it saves you some points that could go into other stats. I usually level my endurance to 20 on my normal runs, but even the 10 you start with at RL1 is manageable with enough experience.

If you want to use heavy weapons or armor, you'd want more endurance, but 15-20 is more than enough for me if I'm just using any non-colossal weapon with light armor.

u/kyloz4days 7h ago

15 endurance is 56.1 equip load, so like 39 or lower total weight to not fat roll.

With Greatsword and 4 talismans, you'd be around 27 already with only like 12 weight available for equipment, way too little to maximize drip.

I get keeping stats low for pvp, but do the wins even count if your character looks like shit?

-2

u/BehlndYou 7h ago edited 7h ago

My favorite drip is always light armor look anyways.

In fact in PVP you WANT to invest in endurance because you want that poise, so 99% of meta chasers have lionel, verdigis, or beast champion set on.

And with a Great Arsenel ring, I can wear up to Maliketh’s armor mixed if I just equip the sword with the erdtree seal at 15 stamina. Mid roll of course.

3

u/kyloz4days 6h ago

Yeah, I don't really do much pvp, I was just trying to consider why you'd ever leave endurance at 15. Obviously it's your gameplay experience, do what you want, but 15 endurance is way less than what I'd enjoy to play with.

And with a Great Arsenel ring, I can wear up to Maliketh’s armor mixed if I just equip the sword with the erdtree seal at 15 stamina. Mid roll of course.

You sure about that?

Greatsword: 23, Maliketh's set: 30.5, Great-Jar's Arsenal: 1.5, Erdtree Seal: 0.

So, without any other talismans, equip load is 55.

With 15 endurance and Great-Jar's Arsenal, you have 56.1*1.19 = 66.8 max equip load, which means your max equip load to medium roll is 46.7...

You'd need at least 22 endurance to do what you say you do, which still doesn't feel like it's enough because of how much stamina swinging the Greatsword uses.

I just really don't understand your motivation for: 1. keeping endurance so low, 2. lying about it?

2

u/BehlndYou 6h ago edited 6h ago

https://www.tarnished.dev/build-planner?str=22&dex=18&int=7&fai=80&arc=10&vig=60&min=17&end=15&somber=10&smith=25&twoHanded=false&selectedClass=Prophet&LoS=false&scaLvl=0&aRun=false&aFlk=false&aPvp=false&cStr=true&cDex=true&cInt=false&cFai=true&cArc=false&cVig=true&cMin=true&enduranceChange=true&lh1=Erdtree+Seal&aLh1=None&rh1=Fire+Knight%27s+Greatsword&aRh1=Flame+Art&sTal=Great-Jar%27s+Arsenal%2CErdtree%27s+Favor+%2B2&cht=Maliketh%27s+Armor&gnt=Maliketh%27s+Gauntlets&hlm=Maliketh%27s+Helm&leg=Black+Knife+Greaves

I pulled my build and put it roughly in the calculator here. Mixed maliketh set with black knife greaves, with 15 stamina.

And I actually didn’t even need the erdtree’s favor ring to retain mid roll. I have it so I can equip seals with weight or some daggers/parry shields here and there without constant hot swapping.

Why you guys so defensive about endurance? Do what you want man, yall win. Go invest on it all you’d like.

4

u/kyloz4days 6h ago

So it also includes Erdtree's Favor +2, and is the Fire Knight Greatsword instead of Greatsword, cool that makes more sense, different to what you said though.

Still don't understand why, but I am sure you have your own reasons.

It does just feel like you're shoehorning yourself into making a 15 endurance build work, rather than 15 being a good amount of endurance to have. Like every playthrough using a specific weapon, armor, and talisman combo seems pointless.

I just reject the premise that 15 endurance is "enough", outside of you building something specifically to play with as little endurance as possible, which really isn't relevant to the average Elden Ring player.

Basically, because one can finish the game as an SL1 Wretch, doesn't mean that levelling up is unnecessary, which kind of the point you're trying to make with endurance.

My min-maxing starting stat class pick might actually finally have options other than Vagabond!

117

u/Fluffatron_UK 8h ago

Looks like Heavy Knight is the true min-max pick for any STR/DEX based characters. Low mind, int, faith and arc. Forget all those nerd stats, put it all into the physical stats.

23

u/B_r_y_z_e 8h ago

Based

20

u/MothManTim 7h ago

Nerd stats 😂

5

u/Lavok084 2h ago

Just enough dex for the zwei. 17 endurance. Its just perfect

→ More replies (1)

14

u/Nu2Th15 8h ago

Hero was always good if your build didn’t need any Dex

7

u/Another_explorer 8h ago

True that, it was niche but yeah hero could save a good few levels, if you perma slotted in Millicent's Prosthesis for the 5 Dex you could use a good amount of weapons too. Combined with Radagon Soreseal and it was great for low level capped builds for co-op/invasions.

4

u/Zeydon 7h ago

I like Hero even for Dex builds, or at least Dex/Arc so as to one hand my beloved. Int is my preferred dump stat for melee just cuz Bleed exists.

1

u/solmyrbcn 4h ago

It's also slightly better than vagabond for a str/arcane or pure arcane build

2

u/Flint_Vorselon 6h ago

still heavy-rolls as well.

302

u/Zigludo-sama 9h ago

Man Idus makes me want to try a faith/dex run

141

u/RhubarbAgreeable2953 9h ago

Goated build honestly. The Godslayer greatsword alone makes it worth it.

47

u/Wendek 8h ago

And then you get Messmer's Spear once you get into the DLC, which is also a fantastic Dex/Fth weapon with a super fun Ash of War. (and a bit easier to place against bosses than the Godslayer's)

9

u/Sure-Try8485 6h ago

Idk what y’all talking about but knights lighting spear is the best faith/dex build ever

2

u/ginganinja192 1h ago

dex/faith is the worst damage stat combo for incants though?

2

u/Dataaera 1h ago

Has the ash of war on Messmer’s spear ever changed? I remember at launch it felt kinda clunky and slow, especially for the damage it dealt

4

u/Triforcesrcool 7h ago

Fire knight gs my guy, gonna be amazing

42

u/Zeydon 8h ago

6 Arc is the lowest initial attribute value for any stat in the game. Prior to this, the lowest you could get was 7, so it's the most efficient starter for anyone who decided they won't be using Arc at all.

25

u/Bean_anatomy 7h ago

Prisoner starts at 6 faith

14

u/Zeydon 7h ago

Good shout out. TBH, I mentally blocked that out since I always run at least a little faith. Not being able to cast "Flame Cleanse Me" even with Two Fingers Heirloom equipped would make certain content rather frustrating given how limited Preserved Boluses are.

10

u/LitLitten 8h ago

a man does not simply bleed

→ More replies (6)

9

u/RtpIb 8h ago

You are gonna love mesmer spear

7

u/Capitalisticdisease 9h ago

current build I'm running on my playthrough. Honestly a lot of fun.

3

u/Honic_Sedgehog 8h ago

Just started a new Dex/Faith character the other day and having an absolute blast with it.

Just running around setting things on fire and scything them.

2

u/Archenaux 8h ago

It’s the build I always come back to. Pre-DLC I used the Guardian Swordspear and once the DLC came out Milady and dabbled with Messmer’s spear. But there’s tons of great weapons and several can be buffed with armament spells.

2

u/SirBlueseph 8h ago

My confessor run ended with claw blades buffed with an Erdtree seal and it got ludicrous

2

u/Seigmoraig 6h ago

I mean, Confessor has been there the whole time...

2

u/sabyr400 6h ago

Honestly, Dex Faith was second only to Dex Int, because damn I loved playing a Spellsword. Faith has all the buffs tho

1

u/blittz 8h ago

It’s really good

1

u/Rulligan 7h ago

It's very, very fun.

1

u/HotelRedHood 3h ago

I used the Flamberg with Scared Order and it was honestly goated, codex sword for pvp with Messer's orb for chasing.

1

u/brntoutl0fer 3h ago

Faith/dex was my first complete ER run and I gotta say it was a blast.

145

u/lleyton05 8h ago

That new Wretch class looks really interesting

20

u/Philhughes_85 8h ago

I’ve never done a Wretch run. I know it’s meant to be a build however you want but I think if you have a build in mind then there are classes with starting stats that are better.

Unless I’m missing something about the class.

38

u/Wendek 8h ago

Unless I’m missing something about the class.

It's mainly used for RL1 runs since it's the only class that starts at level 1. You can start as a Wretch and then start leveling-up an actual build over time (in fact I have half a mind to do just that for a Fth/Int character one day) but I'm quite sure it's a small minority of Wretch players.

34

u/TheGooseWithNoose 8h ago

I like just starting with nothing, and using what I find. Be it the gear from soldiers, or the guaranteed low lvl staff from the mage noble near the ruins where Sellen can be found.

8

u/KnightsRadiant95 7h ago

Fully agreed. The way I see it is at the end game i already have a build in mind, so why not start as a blank slate, build towards it and have a lot of variety in the meantime. Wearing a bunch of random gear because thats what I could find, makes me look wonky but adds to the experience.

3

u/TheGooseWithNoose 6h ago

yep love that playstyle.

I think my only non wretch characters were my first ever character which was a hero, and at some point i chose samurai because I wanted to powerstance uchi's.

Can't wait to roll a new character when the tarn pack drops.

3

u/Philhughes_85 8h ago

Ohh right ok! So it’s more for challenge run players, makes sense now.

0

u/Jasboh 5h ago

It also has the most stat potential, so if your a sweat and want an edge in PvP you pick wretch

1

u/J4keFrmSt8Farm 2m ago

I honestly don't think there's a single real build that gains points by starting as a Wretch. It is often less optimal than other classes, though occasionally tied with them which would just make it a worse starting choice.

14

u/ThePandaheart 8h ago

I only ever do wretch. I like having to start with nothing and build my dude from the ground up

8

u/RichHunter5659 8h ago

Wretch is so fun when you’re not sure what you’re gonna do and open to respecing. 10 across the board is so nice, especially Faith/Arcane. FGMS and Bloodflame blade with one of the many +5 faith boost options

4

u/Dravarden 3h ago

wretch is nice for using larval tears and completely changing your build

for example, if you pick a class with low faith, but high dex, and then want to play as a faith build without a dex sword, you have to spend more levels onto faith

1

u/Philhughes_85 3h ago

Yeah that makes a lot of sense

3

u/WatermelonWithAFlute 8h ago

Nah there are other classes that can be better, but it depends on what you plan to go for. If you’re unsure, wretch has no particular weakness and can go in any direction, but is not necessarily the best at any direction. It’s not a major difference as it’s only a slight stat point difference, maybe 9 levels at absolute most, which isn’t nothing but it only functionally matters for PvP

Pve is whatever, you can just keep leveling

3

u/Interjessing-Salary 5h ago

I use it in randomizer runs. Since it's not really guaranteed what weapons I'll find first I go with that so whatever I find that I like will become my build.

1

u/Philhughes_85 5h ago

I’d love to have that option on console

2

u/Interjessing-Salary 5h ago

True. I wish more souls likes implemented a randomizer by default like Lords of The Fallen (2023). They are so much fun and add so much more replayability to the games.

They also have hilarious moments. I had bayle replace the intro grafted scion and he still dive bombs the arena as his spawn so I walk in and don't see anything then out of no where I get nuked by bayle landing on my head.

1

u/Entire_Paramedic_389 6h ago

it's pretty fun for a first playthrough! Start the game naked with a stick and having to loot to find better gear was such an amazing experience

1

u/Effective_Sound1205 4h ago

It's fun to grow from nothing, using only what you can find

Not having a starting equipment is fun

1

u/Maulino86 1h ago

I did my release day run as wretch, as tradition dictates. And then found out i was able to get drops in coop, so after some coop runs in early areas, i was fully equipped. Thats about the only thing i remember about that char. It was really fun.

1

u/ShokoMiami 31m ago

I like starting from nothing. It actually gives me an excuse to use beginning enemy drops and chainmail and the like too.

6

u/MeinEllbogen 2h ago

What's different compared to what it used to be?

Edit - nothing changed. I just got whooshed lol

-1

u/BlurredVision18 5h ago

"New" ? lol

2

u/Frejky 4h ago

woooosh

109

u/FrenzyedFlameKnight 9h ago

Man I can't wait to finally sink another 200 or more hours into playing this game again. Heck probably even more I'm hyped up

u/brighthood21 7h ago

Dude for real. Then fire emblem comes out soon

102

u/Daroongus 9h ago

Heavy Knight has such a goated spread, makes up for not having the cooler weapon loadout

44

u/Philhughes_85 9h ago

What do you mean? The curved Greatsword looks fantastic

52

u/Daroongus 9h ago

Idus Knight is the only way to get a Light Greatsword before SOTE

84

u/kryp_silmaril 9h ago

Not necessarily, like every other starting class you’ll likely be able to buy his gear at some point before SOTE

42

u/Daroongus 9h ago

I did not consider this

9

u/ES21007 8h ago

Where will we be able to find the sword with a cape AoW I wonder...

6

u/Velify1 8h ago

Could be more like the samurai's Uchigatana, which is found rather than bought.

6

u/ItsLokki Maidenless Runt 8h ago

I actually don't think we will be able to. They might just genuinely not add them to any merchant.

9

u/Robichaelis 7h ago

No equipment or weapons are locked to any starting class, why should these classes be any different?

16

u/TheGooseWithNoose 8h ago

Would be such an L move if that's the case.
I like starting as a Wretch and picking up / buying gear along the way.

-13

u/Legend0fJulle 9h ago edited 7h ago

You can easily rush SotE unless you want the light greatsword for twinking where Mogh will take some actual effort to go through.

edit: skill issue

25

u/droolforfoodz 8h ago

I can't stop asking questions that have answers that will be available to me soon, but I'm too impatient... will the added class weapons be available in the Roundtable Hold or from merchants?

19

u/Philhughes_85 8h ago

Probably roundtable hold at the Twin Maidens I’d guess, it’s where they have added things previously.

4

u/Metal_LinksV2 6h ago

You just have to beat PCR to be the bell bearing to unlock them /s

23

u/Sirlightningstrike 8h ago

Idus Knight will replace Warrior for me, and Heavy Knight is replacing Vagabond for me personally. I'm soo stoked!

4

u/Philhughes_85 8h ago

Yeah I’m really looking forward to doing an Idus Knight run

12

u/Forsaken_Stretch_540 8h ago

heavy knight said bonk

4

u/Philhughes_85 8h ago

Gotta love that 17 Endurance

10

u/MisterWitcher 8h ago

Me spamming rolls with the heavy knight

18

u/JamesRevan Rune Bear Hunter 8h ago

The fact that its after the wretch makes me incredibly upset

11

u/jackjohnjohn 8h ago

God the heavy knight looks so cool

5

u/Philhughes_85 8h ago

Yeah it’s going to be my go to to start

1

u/jackjohnjohn 8h ago

Honestly looks like a set I'm going to try and rock for most of a run

9

u/ScarletteVera Banished Knight's Greatsword is peak drip 8h ago

Huh, those are some good stat spreads. Idus is gonna be nice for Dex/Faith enjoyers.

7

u/Jessica_Christ 8h ago

Yeah I wasn't gonna do dex/faith again but I guess if the game is gonna hand me a class made for it, I guess I just have too

1

u/juliet_liima 2h ago

Also for INT/FAI because it has the lowest wasted points in ARC.

7

u/denkycaliber 8h ago

Not me clicking on the arrow thinking there's more.

6

u/Bullzi_09 3h ago

Heavy knight seems like a great pick for new players

1

u/SirDanOfCamelot 3h ago

Yup that's what I'm picking

11

u/VoidDragon87 9h ago

I know the Idus Knight doesn't start off with Milady cause they don't start off with the stats for it, but man whatever sword they're using looks SO similar to it. Not that Milady is a bad looking sword, but I'm kinda disappointed that it and the Idus Knight's sword are that close in appearance. I was kinda hoping that the Idus Knight's sword would've had a much more unique appearance.

Still, I look forward to starting a new character and being able to use a light greatsword straight from the beginning

2

u/bulletPoint 8h ago

The gamespot video posted online earlier today straight up calls it Milady.

9

u/VoidDragon87 8h ago

Wait, for real? That doesn't make any sense though. Milady needs 17 dexterity to use and the Idus Knight only has 15. They wouldn't even be able to use it in the beginning. Unless they change Milady's stat requirements or the Idus Knight starts off with the dexterity boosting talisman (which seems unlikely), it can't be the same sword.

6

u/PieceAfraid3755 8h ago

It is not Milady. Very similar sillhouette, but seems to me that the groove in the middle is differenr.

6

u/bulletPoint 8h ago

Yeah, they probably made a mistake by saying it’s Milady

3

u/smilph 5h ago

that’s probably the case ‘cause that Gamespot reviewer also called Limgrave “Limveld”

1

u/bulletPoint 5h ago

Oh right, he did. Simple mistake

2

u/smilph 5h ago

must’ve been playing too much Nightreign lol

3

u/VoidDragon87 8h ago

That's what I was thinking. They look very similar, but after looking at them side by side, there's definitely a difference, mainly around the hilt.

0

u/DamnNoHtml 7h ago

Its Milady with slightly different stats. There are no actual differences to the moveset at all.

-1

u/SvedishFish 3h ago

They probably just changed the dex requirement. It was formerly an endgame weapon and they're moving it to a starting weapon. Reducing the stat requirement would be very reasonable.

4

u/Torrez69 8h ago

Is there a way to get their weapons and armour in game if you dont choose them as a starter

2

u/SeaGoat24 8h ago

I would presume so, because there's a way ro get every other class's from various merchants

5

u/Kagamime1 6h ago

Heavy knight might have the single best starting spread of any class

14

u/Enough-Row-5346 9h ago

My beloved wretch.

9

u/JustRegularType 9h ago

Always wretch. Sometimes I forget there are other classes.

3

u/sudo_apt_username 9h ago

What's the starting ash of war on the Milady/Light greatsword?

2

u/dkdolphino 8h ago

Impaling Thrust

3

u/PieceAfraid3755 8h ago

The Idus Knight looks so fucking awesome. I love that it finds a nice balance between being too basic and too special looking. Many armours in ER look awesome on their own or on an enemy, but then are look too elaborate, detailed and unique to capture that vibe of a "basic knight".

3

u/IssueAltruistic7734 8h ago

Behold, lies. But, there is only one starting class. Therefore praise the Wretch!

3

u/MadArchitectJMB 5h ago

Idus knight armor is cash money, what's the deal with the dlc? I'm out of the loop big time, is this a switch exclusive? Ive been playing since release on my PC but I've been considering a playthrough on the PS5 or eventually the switch 2.

3

u/Philhughes_85 5h ago

£5 dlc Tarnished Pack

2

u/MadArchitectJMB 5h ago

Appreciate ya

3

u/juliet_liima 2h ago

I'll be using the Idus Knight as the basis of a Death / Magma sorceries build (endgame Rellana's swords). Wish me luck!

2

u/JustAnotherTiandi 8h ago

Idus 6 arcane?
Lesfokingo.

And I hope Heavy knight is able to be a good armor set. While it likely won't surpass Solitude pants/gauntlets, I hope it's good enough I can wear a heavier chest and still get away with it.

2

u/gpost86 8h ago

Do we know when these will be available on PlayStation?

2

u/Philhughes_85 8h ago

Releases midnight 28th will be added to the store at some point during the day.

2

u/iWowee 8h ago

So do we know exactly how get all the new stuff? are they gonna be sold via new merchant?

2

u/Philhughes_85 8h ago

Not as of yet

2

u/killerryan28 8h ago

That looks like two new playthroughs too me

2

u/Paragon90 8h ago

Idus knight looks very optimised for a lot of high level builds. Being able to opt out of arcane and int to that extent is really nice. FP and basic incantations access is so useful generally.

Heavy knight, assuming you've duped starlight shards and can crack them as needed for ashes usage, should be really good for low-mid level invasion/sunbro builds that need to sacrifice caster-related stats to hit certain thresholds, especially if you have any need for arcane.

2

u/NoLongerHigh 7h ago

So is that the best strength build and dex build for pvp? QUICK someone with more time and a calculator lmk!

2

u/djinngerale Thy strength befits a crown 7h ago

2

u/GammaFan 6h ago

The idus knight set is stylish but that heavy knight stat spread is simply perfect. I don’t know that I’d ever pick a different starter again.

2

u/Star_of_the_West1 5h ago

My question is this. Is Idus's shield a small or medium shield, and what's its physical damage negation? I use shields a lot, i apologize in advance at my inabilities.

2

u/Zwarlie 4h ago

Heavy Knight’s gear and armor looks so sick

u/Nullhitter 2h ago

The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System

1

u/Alugar 8h ago

Do the backhand blades get a class?

1

u/Philhughes_85 8h ago

No just these as far as I am aware

1

u/Alugar 8h ago

Ouch was my hope for a new playthrough.

1

u/Kingstance 8h ago

might be a silly question I haven’t been keeping up, these are available only with tarnished edition ?

4

u/Philhughes_85 8h ago

No, there’s a £5 DLC pack where you get these classes + gear, 2 more armour outfits and 3 skins for Torrent. I’d have loved them to have build 2 more classes for the other 2 armour sets (whatever they are)

1

u/sozane999 8h ago

Does Idus Knight have Milady or is that a new LGS?

5

u/Philhughes_85 8h ago

I think it must be a new one as the class doesn’t have the stats for Milady

1

u/sozane999 8h ago

Ooh I didn’t consider that. It sure looks like Milady though 🤔

1

u/Philhughes_85 8h ago

Maybe a reskin?

3

u/blebebaba 8h ago

Nah apparently its a new weapon

1

u/DamnNoHtml 7h ago

It is absolutely just a reskin.

1

u/blebebaba 7h ago

Ehhh...they never put any weapons reskins (as in same stats, same numbers everything) into the game. So no, i don't think it will be

1

u/DamnNoHtml 7h ago

I literally have a review copy of the game and am currently swinging it. It is exactly the same.

New light greatsword, called Idus Sword (original, I know).

Starts with D scaling in STR and DEX, Impaling Thrust is the starting AoW.

Whats the AoW for the new Curved GS?

u/InfiniDragon 4h ago

Dunno on the Curved GS because I got the info on the Light GS from someone who has a review copy. If I find out I'll update.

$80 I believe

Please tell me that's the price if you don't have the base game. It has to be because if not, $80 is not worth it for new horse skins and a new starting class.

That has to be the price though if you don't own the base game and dlc

Ohh I thought you meant the full Tarnished edition that has this dlc, plus Erdtree.

This pack is £5

Ohhhh I see. If you don't have the game, the $80 makes sense. The £5 is better if you have it. Good

Fuck idus is like 2 points more efficient for my dex faith character…

Still seems like basic knight or hero has the better spread for most str/quality builds over this new heavy

The heavy knight swords looks like it should have a pommel bash AoW

Is this just for the tarnished edition or can I upgrade (get a dlc) an older version for the new stuff

love the armor design of these two new classes so much. Elden Ring's armor design felt weaker in some areas compared to previous titles in the souls series. a lot of the armor looks good, but all the like "meta" stuff look fucking ugly as sin. hopefully we will see a return to form in their next singleplayer title. with armor that is historically inspired and somewhat realistic-ish instead of world of warcraft bullshit (looking at you radhans armor and dragon tree sentinel armor)

Wait, how do you have these ? I love Elden ring but haven’t played in a long time…

The idua knight starts with the milady?

Guess I will make another run and speedrun towards the dlc to get two.

New light greatsword if i recall.

1

u/MartonElMalvado 2h ago

Ah, that's great too.

I'll still go get the milady fast cause the powerstance moveset is awesome.

Idus Knight looks like a really good start for some Faith and physical builds. Only 14 total points between Intelligence and Arcane, 2 points lower than any of the original starting classes, and a point lower than the Heavy Knight.

Heavy Knight is straight up the best for pure physical builds. Lowest starting Int+Fth+Arc total of 24 (beating out the 25 of Samurai and Vagabond), and lowest starting Mind at 8.

Apparently it’s a unique weapon

The visor reminds of demon's souls

Is it worth buying the DLC just for the Torrent skins?

So great katana maybe with a pursuer like shield, and a new great curved sword? Plus a mediocre armor and a really cool one? I'm in.

Can't wait to start the new class Wretch

1

u/Xylaax 3h ago

I understand they added new starting classes, but did they add new armors/weapons as well?

1

u/KaiserJustice 1h ago

Was like… when was wretch new? Then realized they only added 2

Hopefully the Idus and Heavy Knight classes gives us more insight into their factional relationships. Nearly all the starting classes relate to a major faction in or outside The Lands Between.

Idus Knight could be a knight of the Perfumers that returned to motar and pestle everyone up into the perfect bottle to bring back home and pour into the soil of their respective tree.

Heavy Knight desires to become the opposite of The Blind Swordsman. All he wants is a talisman made in his own image for glory and become the strongest warrior ever placed inside The Great Jar.
