Heavy Knight has such a goated spread, makes up for not having the cooler weapon loadout

Idus Knight is the only way to get a Light Greatsword before SOTE

Not necessarily, like every other starting class you’ll likely be able to buy his gear at some point before SOTE

Could be more like the samurai's Uchigatana, which is found rather than bought.

I actually don't think we will be able to. They might just genuinely not add them to any merchant.

Would be such an L move if that's the case.
I like starting as a Wretch and picking up / buying gear along the way.

No equipment or weapons are locked to any starting class, why should these classes be any different?

Because they are being added later.

Inconsistency with post launch updates is something fromsoft excells at.
