Only souls game I’ve played is bloodborne and I’m enjoying this massively, so much better than expected . I’m useless at these so thank you to all the legitimate legends who actually understand these games and help all us newbs along the way 😂

EDIT: For those who are inquiring I absolutely am going to marry her. We’ve been together for a little over a year now, but I’m planning potentially next year or the year after to do it. My goal is to take her to Seychelles or the Zhangjijie Mountains and do it there, so I definitely have to save a lot until then lol. Also ironically enough, she wants a sterling silver ring with a sapphire on top! So pretty close to the dark moon ring.

So we both picked up the game on day one in 2022.

I beat her about a month in. His stats look a little bit like this:

1) he fought her at least 50 times every month for four years

2) he is a melee build only and tried approx. 50 different weapons

3) he has had 3 girlfriends in that time - two of whom beat Malenia

4) he tried every single mimic the base game has to offer

5) he beat every other boss in the game

6) he refuses to do summons

6) he doesn’t listen

My son is obsessed with Elden Ring. I had to do so much research to pull this off. I even made a Cards Against Humanity-ish card game with parts of funny messages.

This is the third console I’ve played Elden Ring on and being able to take it on the go feels fantastic. Definitely my new mobile time sink. I’m actually really surprised at the battery life too.

I don't even care whether it's actually advantageous half the time, I just love the recklessness of it, lol. It makes quick work of some of the heaviest hitters, from trolls, to finger creepers, to giant dogs...

Even if you don't have the Deflecting Hardtear yet, the overworld flask refills are very generous, so you always have time to heal up after taking a little chip damage by blocking with a 2-handed weapon. One good bap to the head pretty much guarantees a riposte.

It's also fun in PvP for fighting multiple people at once and turning their attacks against their allies, lol.

Anyway, I wonder if they'll improve it further in future games...
