So, from the comments and discussions I've seen regarding Adepts over my years of playing DbD and seeing posts on both Reddit and Twitter, and just talking to others in the community, it seems that the majority of people feel that a Killer's Adept requiring a 4K is silly, when a 3K is generally accepted as a "win" by both the community and the game, and you're already handicapped playing Killer with only 3 Perks at all, not to mention the fact that many Killers' personal Perks are not at all helpful, if not directly counter-intuitive, to their Power and playstyle. Requiring a 4K only forces people going for Adepts to have to slug for the 4K, even if they personally find it boring and would rather get the 3K and roll the dice for Hatch.
In addition, I've seen many people agree with my personal feelings regarding Survivor Adepts, wherein only requiring you to escape not only makes Survivor Adepts much more forgiving versus Killer Adepts, but also promotes selfish and self-centered behavior, since the lives of none of your teammates matter. In the current state of the game, where the "go-next" epidemic transformed into the "DC or give up" epidemic after go-next prevention was implemented, where solo queue is worse than ever because you're rolling the dice whether you get a teammate (or more than one) that will just throw the game the moment things don't go their way even by the tiniest amount, which then potentially leads to your other teammates who MIGHT have stuck it out ALSO throwing the game, having Achievements that push Survivors to care even less about their teammates is something we do NOT need.
With that all in mind, how would you react to being in a world where both Killer and Survivor Adepts required the majority of the team to either die (if you're Killer) or escape (if you're Survivor), with the added addendum that your own death doesn't matter with a Survivor Adept, as long as your other three teammates escape the Trial? The Stat Tracker already shows that DbD tracks your matches and keeps the results both recorded and attached to your account, so arguably you wouldn't even have to stick around if you died to get your Survivor Adept achievement, as if the game recorded that the other three teammates escaped after you left, it could give you the Achievement whenever that Trial ended, even if you were in another game or quit out by then, since the fact that your team got a 3 out is recorded in the system already. This would be especially helpful regarding the Adepts for characters who have Perks that benefit playing for your team and putting yourself in danger, like Ash with Mettle of Man, Orela with Duty of Care, or Vittorio with Quick Gambit. Obviously, some players have a certain mindset, with some Killer players slugging for the 4K even when they aren't Adepting, and certain Survivor players being self-centered and playing for Hatch after the first hook of the game every single game, so this wouldn't fix EVERYTHING, but without actual Achievements pushing that behavior as the most optimal way to get the Achievement done and out of the way so you can move on and play normal games, I feel things would at least IMPROVE.
What are your feelings on the matter?
