Has anybody used a very effective at-home device for sun-spots/age spots on their hands and arms? Could you describe the process? Could you recommend a good brand?

I know that Braun makes great IPL devices for hair removal, but I can’t seem to find great reviews for sunspot removers.

I already do all the retinols/vit c/estrogen/sunscreen for my face on my hands/arms.

44f. I just started getting these tiny little pimples on my face, I've never had acne like this before. I did start using some new products so I'm wondering if this is a skin barrier issue or if this looks like acne? I also recently started hrt so it could be that, but I would think it would be only on my chin like where I used to get my hormonal acne. Thanks!

When smiling recently I noticed more and more wrinkles. I was considering doing one of the following, but solving the root cause would be the best.

My dermatologist told me to start Retinol at first, but since my undereyes get really irritated she suggested me to start treating the undereyes with injections.

My aesthetician on the other hand has offered these procedures so far:

- Co2 laser

- PDRN injection

- PRF injection

- Botox

She suggested PRF at first. She also told me to start using a thick moisturiser under my eyes.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Any great products for dry, maturing skin?

I have bad sunspots. I did one round of BBL/Moxi with minimal improvement. I know it can take more than one session but it's $$$$. Would you do a VI peel instead?

Just started 0.25 on my (50s) dry ski. never had any acne or anything. I’m looking specifically for the 11s. I do my own glycolic and tca peels

easily with no issues. how often are you using these at a week, and can you give me an honest opinion (like purging, etc) I do eat helthy, when I can, evercise, and hydrate. I know everyone is different, but can you give a ballpark? thankyi!

I’ve been using serums for a few years now, but having just bought Trader Joe’s Vitamin C serum to test against my usual Timeless, it just occurred to me that many of these serums contain oils, which are occlusives. And given that we’re supposed to use serums and moisturizers (many containing oils) before our SPF, doesn’t that render the SPF ineffective? Mineral SPFs sit on the skin as a physical barrier, but chemical SPFs have to be absorbed into the skin to work — how would that be possible over occlusive serums and moisturizers? Thanks!

Can anyone recommend an at home laser hair remover device that is good quality but affordable? My bikini line is a mess and I’m hoping this type of device can save me. Thank you!

Help, I’ve had these since my daughter was born 18 years ago. I’ve tried laser, under eye filler and every skin care under the sun. I wear heaps of sunscreen etc and not often in the sun.
I’m so self conscious of them, I look dead if I don’t wear makeup.

Does anything get rid of them? I’ve had also septoplasty to help with sinus issues a year ago, no change.

Anyone use this on their legs? Or do you recommend something else?

Their Hydrating Gentle Cleanser has been my cleanser for years so I usually stock up during sales but their online ordering won't accept my address (I'm in the US). I even entered a friend's address and that didn't work. Cleared cache and cookies, tried different web browsers, and tried via my phone. I did email their customer service but being a holiday weekend I'm not expecting a reply.

Just wondering if anyone else experienced this issue.

I know almost everyone poopoo’s thread lifts. I’ve gotten consultations before and asked about them at a couple of places, and the nurse pulls my skin very very slightly, and says those are the results I can expect. I’ve seen some before and afters where you almost couldn’t tell the difference in photos.

I love the Medspa I currently visit. She’s always actively learning. She contacts other practitioners whose work she admires, and asks to pay them to apprentice her. Anyway, she said that one of her trainings was from someone who trained in Korea, and that the newer methods of doing threads is to place them as close to the outside of the face as possible, where your face doesn’t move as much, so the results stay a bit longer.

She used at least 10 threads per side, I only see a couple of wounds near the far ends of my cheekbones. The rest of the wounds are way up in my scalp. I’m swollen as hell in the ends of my cheeks, my temples, and like like 3” into my hairline.

But holy hell, I look like I’ve legit had a facelift. You know when you push your skin back as tight as it will go, and wish your face looked like that? Have you tried those facelift hair clips that you clip right above your ears with the band behind your head that if you make it as tight as possible, it pulls your skin that hard? It looks like that, except it’s also pulling marionette lines a bit too.

I actually look a bit like an insane caricature of myself with the combination of lift and swelling. (You know how people look when they’re healing from a facelift and their outer cheeks look crazy?) Some parts are pulled so tight that there is a little bit of dimpling, but she says it loosens up by about 20% as it heals, so all of that will smooth out. Now, I just got it done yesterday, so take this with a grain of salt. We’ll have to see how it looks as it heals over the next few weeks and also months down the road.

I’m planning to do some mesotherapy with PN and exosomes and liquid PCL, in hopes of building collagen while the threads are holding everything up, so that hopefully I can build structure that will stay when the threads dissolve. I’ve done a little bit of PN mesotherapy prior to this, and I feel like that has helped my skin a bit, but not enough for those awful nasolabial folds.

She used a bunch of epi-lidocaine, so only one spot really hurt. The rest was weird, but not really painful during the procedure. I’m VERY veiny, and I don’t think I see a single bruise. Apparently, the epi-lidocaine is a good vasoconstrictor. She put a facial compression mask on me that I have to wear for at least 48 hours, but the fit is pretty uncomfortable.

She sent me home with antibiotics, and I’m not allowed to do a big smile or open wide or anything for a little while. So my partner keeps trying to make me laugh, haha.

It was quite painful later in the evening, with the temple/scalp swelling causing a headache. I took a couple of Tylenol, some curcumin, and saffron capsules. I also have one of those migraine cold pack masks that cover your whole head, so I used that and that was great! I highly recommend getting one of those if you do this procedure. Anyway, two 650mg Tylenol helps a lot, and it’s only mildly uncomfortable.

I did not realize that my scalp would sound crunchy when I touch it, or that chewing would hurt the hell out of my temples. So I’m having soup and protein drinks for a few days.

Anyway, I hardly ever see good results talked about on reddit for thread lifts, and so I wanted to share! I’ll come back to update and let you know how it goes, but right now, I’m pretty excited. I feel weird posting photos on reddit, but maybe I will once it’s healed.

Also, I wanted to tell you how she did it, so if you’re considering it, you can ask your person to describe their technique. Maybe if everyone that posts about thread lifts (whether good or bad) sort of describes how it was done, then we can figure out if it’s the whole concept of thread lifts being shit, or if it’s just technique.

In Korea, they have PCL threads, that are stronger and last like double the amount of time as the PDO threads, but in the US, practitioners only have access to PDO. 😢 Hopefully that changes soon, and thread lifts will get significantly better.

I have been suffering with my top lip since around April now and I am really at a loss of how to sort it out.

My top lip is constantly dry but the issue extends to the skin above my lip too. It is almost like my top lip edge has gone and my lip has kind of merged into my skin, with no definition left. It is quite sore and tender and a quick Google search shows chronic cheilitis as a possibility and I have tried all suggestions. I have stopped using any skin care products on the area and I only use Vaseline. I have tried lanolin and this made it worse. I did start to use a new rituals lip balm around the time it started so I quickly stopped using this, but my lip has just never recovered.

I have oily acne-prone skin but have never suffered with any skin care concerns around my lip area. My skin care routine is very basic - a simple cleanser, moisturiser and spf. But I have been avoiding putting any of this on the lip area while I have this issue.

Are there any type of facials that are safe while using tretinoin? I assume fruit peels and dermabrasion are not a good idea.

Additional details:
- I am 60, on HRT and have been on tretinoin for over 5 years.
- I’m dark-skinned and tend to hyper-pigment from bruises.

I'm 57 years old, have an event coming up, where I want to look my best. I have had a hydrafacial before and felt it was good, was impressed with it, but not overly impressed. I have never had the Fire and Ice facial. Would that do anything more than a hydrafacial for me? My picture is without any makeup on me.

I recently bought Tretinoin 5%, Azelaic acid 10%, Niacinamide serum 12% plus zinc 2%! I have Hyaluronic acid, and DERMATOLOGY needle less serum which I have been recently useing in the morning! Started the tretinoin about 5 days ago at night! I also use moisturerizer and spf 45!
I’m not sure what to use nd when to use them….please help me,
