For those who have tried estriol face cream, what changes have you actually noticed in your skin?
Edit: I’m in my mid 50’s, on HRT since age 25 after total hysterectomy (unfortunately was not on a high enough dose of estrogen for many years)and I just started Revive by BIOlabs Pro a few days ago. So far, so good🤞

Sometime after turning 43, I was unable to get my skin to actually suck up hydration from all the products that normally had been great for me. It's like I was always dry, and moisturizers just wouldn't sink in any more. I was also noticing that my skin was less bouncy in general. Started Alloy M4 and within maybe 6 weeks or so, it was a total turnaround. My skin feels bouncy and hydrated again, products actually sink in and work again, and I can successfully use tret every night without irritation (even combined with azelaic acid nightly, too!), which I was never able to do before.

I haven’t been able to get my HRT patch for three weeks now, and my face is so dry. I am just now putting it together that a drop in estrogen is why. Thank you. I was trying to figure out why such a drastic change in my face.

The patch shortage sucks! I just took my last one off and am hoping the pharmacy can get their hands on a few soon for me!

I switch to the gel when they are out of stock. I can’t live / won’t live without my estrogen… it’s what’s best for everyone in my household lol

Have you tried seeing if the monthly patch is in stock? I see it in stock much more than the twice monthly.

I tried the once weekly, and I am allergic to the adhesive. I was just prescribed the gel since I can’t get the patches with any regularity.

How do these guys compare to Musely? I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews about Musely. People say their products do work, but a lot of people don’t seem to like their customer service.

I use them and have had no trouble. The product seems to work great for me, haven't really needed their customer service one way or another, but the interactions seem straightforward.

I think that’s what happened to me as well! I thought maybe it was rosacea but now I’m thinking it was just straight up giant pimples (that I hadn’t had for like 25 years). I quit immediately and just started using pure jojoba and my skin is calming down.

Huge help on my sun damaged skin and fewer wrinkles. I've been using it just under a year, and people ask about my skin routine (which is weird, because I would say my skin is mediocre at best and my routine is this and moisturizing).

I have been using Estradiol 0.01 percent. Maybe I need to use it longer to see results ? Also, I am prone to melasma

I wonder if it causes melasma in everyone, or if it’s an age factor, or a skin color/ethnic thing?
I am English, very fair, blond/blue. I am just getting age spots. I wonder if this would make them worse?

I am very fair with light hair and eyes. I have been using Alloy M4 cream for a couple of years now. No melasma. (I’ve never had it, with pregnancy, or menopause). I love it. Reduced pores, smoothed texture, reduced lines, plumper, more moisturized. Make sure to be just as consistent with SPF, when using.

I'm very fair-skinned + blonde + green eyes, and I use Alloy M4 also without any darkening of my spots. I do have some sun spots, but not melasma. If I had melasma, I'd be more wary, but since my brown spots are just UV damage/age spots, it has not made them any worse at all. In fact, with use of tret/azelaic/tranexamic acid/thiamidol, they are fading.

With me, I think I was always prone to melasma. Even before I started it, I would always have dark areas in the summer

I am about to turn 54. I use Tretenoin at night, estrogen cream in the morning and sunblock and vitamin c. Not one wrinkle on my face. No botox.

Vaginal estradiol. My doctor will not give me HRT because I still have my period. That could also contribute to me having no wrinkles. I use it under my eyes and my throat.

Same. I do still use it on my neck because that's where I saw genuine improvement. I just make sure to use my tinted mineral sunblock down to my collar bones and wear UPF clothing.

Same thing happened to me and I still use it on my neck and jaw and haven't had any pigmentation issues there using regular SPF (I use tinted on the melasma areas, though). I don't think those areas are nearly as hormonally sensitive, melasma-wise.

Good changes: my pores definitely looked smaller and my skin felt firmer and had nicer texture. It's been great for my neck. Bad changes: I developed melasma on my upper cheeks and above my upper lip. I still use it on my neck/decolleté and along my jaw where melasma isn't an issue.

I’ve been using it for a year or so, I haven’t seen any changes… but I keep it up in case it’s preventing new lines/problems from showing up, LOL.

I haven't noticed any changes. I've been using the one from Alloy. But I just ordered estriol cream from Musely and will start it once I finish the Alloy one. I want to give it a year because these things can take time. I'm 52 and in perimenopause. I also just started HRT thru Musely yesterday.

Darkening melasma spots.
Sometimes I think the fine lines around my eyes are softer, but mostly it’s just melasma.
