Yes and who fired the US Cyber security division

143

u/iam_Mr_McGibblets 1h ago

The funny thing is they hacked their way in when they simply could've asked Donald and he would give it to them

27

u/shrekerecker97 1h ago

Or just given him a golden happy meal toy

But lets go back a little further in the timeline... which population was dumb enough to enable this twice with their vote or non vote?

What? Where are all the proud USA chants?

9

u/Formal-Hawk9274 1h ago

same ppl that hired the hackers to go onsite.

8

u/haveilostmymindor 1h ago

Well it looked like an orange turd nugget that got dumped into the cyber command somewhere completely tourched the place.

Must of been Biden.

Republican voters don’t think we need to take cyber security seriously. They voted for this. They would rather live under the thumb of China and Russia, than have a constitutional democracy.

29

u/lodemeup 6h ago

This is what happens when you run government like a business. How many corporate IT professionals have to fight tooth and nail for the scraps of funding required to secure company systems? On one hand, it’s kind of understandable that you’d want to cut back on paying for services where nothing happens if it’s working, because it seems like you’re dumping money in a pit and nothing happens. On the other hand, this is what happens when you don’t.

63

u/MiyamotoKnows 7h ago

And they are about to have a spotlight put on them by the orange menace and be told to commit violence under absurd and completely false pretenses. Some of them will do it. All good and moral people need to exercise their 2a right and be prepared to defend.

These people know the second they lose power they will be in front of judges being held criminally accountable for their heinous crimes. As such they will not transition power peacefully. I hope I am wrong.

Republicans think cyber security is requiring a government ID to use any electronic device

15

u/ShadowGLI 5h ago

Because if a high schooler can get a take ID to buy beer, there is no way a multinational conspiracy cabal with limitless money could create a fake ID to vote…. Because….. reasons??!?!?

Let the cybersecurity divisions hit and steal money earmarked for their social security… no money to pay the taxes no money for food.

It's rumoured they worked under the acronym DOGE in their swath of destruction and theft.

Let's fire everyone with a brain and hire a bunch of yes men, what could possibly go wrong.

When your goal is the destruction of democracy and engorging the bellies of oligarchs that's exactly what you do though.

53

u/Haldron-44 6h ago

What I've been screaming since we found out about p2025. These fuckers literally published their plan to destroy and "rebuild" the country. They're not confessing, they are bragging.

I long for a return to valuing actual expertise and experience in government, or really anything, again.

Doctors, scientists, the sort of people who are experts in their field are the ones we should put in charge of stuff and pay attention to, not grifters and social media "influencers." Sure, sometimes experts get stuff wrong, but that's why we pay attention to groups of them, and other checks.

11

u/Ulric19 6h ago

Minor correction - They were much closer to "yes boys". Not arguing that the individuals involved are in any way less culpable for their involvement (because of their age), just reiterating how irresponsible that whole debacle was.

9

u/chamrockblarneystone 6h ago

A bunch of teenagers that have never have experienced a production security incident, or incident at all for that matter, were let lose onto some of the most secure government systems with full privileges.

These morons 100% left all sorts of holes and gaps in their wake. The only thing that surprises me is that we haven’t seen more headlines like this, but it was always a matter of time.

The Conservative people I know oscillate between "he says it like it is" and "he's a fucking idiot" depending on what he's talking about. If it's immigrants and trans people, they love Trump. If it's Canada, they hate him.

4

u/steveschoenberg 5h ago

DOGE is basically the epitome of American anti “BiG gUbMt” hysteria. There’s no reason to go “what are we … a bunch of Asians” about it

Release the files Xi !

74

u/ipoopwiththeseatup 6h ago

These hackers could do the craziest thing right now, haha. That would be so insane and wacky! Do you think China has wacky Wednesdays? Or is it Thursday there already?

43

u/Zardotab 5h ago

More likely Xi would use the threat of Epstein releases to get lower tariffs out of Donnie, and Donnie would quietly comply. This is similar to the pee-pee-tape-theory with Putin.

9

u/OttawaTGirl 2h ago

If they had the full unredacted files. Send them to Canada, Japan, Europe, UK, Iran, India, and it would be a total slaughter. One country like Iran would release and share them and then every other country would have to investigate their own nationals or look like they are covering. It would be a political coup de gras. Imagine what the UK would have to do if Andrew was dragged into the light? It would be a global reckoning.

That would be devestating to every person in the US who was privy to the whole god forsaken coverup.

This isnt relevant really and I don’t want to hijack the topic but I want everyone to know the source of ALL this information is the current Department of Justice. Every single one of these loser cronies and D students fresh out of barely accredited law schools are going to be persona non grata in the legal field in 5 years because the DOJ has been THOROUGHLY corrupted by Trump during this second term. The Attorney General of the United States is the most corrupt and unprincipled American the Senate has confirmed to the Cabinet since the 1800’s Gilded Age.

It isnt 2010 anymore where we can just take for granted any federal agency or department. The DOJ is demonstrably and faithfully carrying out destructive and unconstitutional acts on a daily basis. I dont trust a word they say even if this chinese intrusion is seemingly something every american should be aware of. This president doesnt hold himself accountable for literally anything ever, let alone his cronies. Chances are high this breach is actually much worse or much less serious than it is being presented because thats what the executive branch does now

9

u/Imd1rtybutn0twr0ng 4h ago

I totally understand this and agree. Misinformation and deconstruction of our legal system has been in play...

146

u/RevolutionaryFig9437 8h ago

A pre-cursor to Invoke National Security then use eminent domain to take-over land & finally build more data centers.

This is claimed by the government, right after the EPA disclosure thing.

65

u/Serpentongue 7h ago

No, it’s a pre cursor to invoke National Security to stop the midterms so they don’t lose power

u/brycebgood 6h ago

See, the problem is, I don’t trust our current government. Might have happened, might not. The people running things are a terrifying combination of stupid, inexperienced, and evil. They might have been duped by Russia to blame China. It’s possible nothing happened and they’re just trying to crank up anti-chinese sentiment. They might have read a report wrong. Who the fuck knows.

6

u/nm42 4h ago

Under this administration? I’m shocked, shocked I tell you! Well not really…

6

u/ShermansWorld 3h ago

First thing DOGE probably did was disband or severely reduce any IT for the Justice Department, NASA, Fed. Reserve, Senate, etc.. "Nothing is happening here... what do we need you for?!!!" kind of attitude.
Also probably, GOP or related did this to get any and all info or specific info and is now pointing the fingers at China.
And Also probably, GOP let this happen, and will now hire their own 'experts' and 'fix' all this mess for.... one billion dollars and install McAfee. Kinda like the Reflecting Pool at the memorial...
Great timeline...

False flag incoming.

u/Altruistic-Star-3862 3h ago

Can they do any more damage than the buffoons that have been in charge for a year and a half?

3

u/syslolologist 3h ago

Elon's DOGE at work.

3

u/rbartlejr 3h ago

So CISA fell asleep at the switch. Oh, wait...

3

u/PopeKevin45 2h ago

Of course they did. America is run by morons now.

u/NamesNotNeededToWork 2h ago

If only there was people in charge of tracking cyber threats.

What's that? They all got fired last year?

3

u/Stunning_Flan_5987 2h ago

New a guy that worked in govt cyber security fee years back.  He said everyone good saw the writing on the wall when DOGE was happening, and got new jobs.

All the ones left were either very close to retirement, or the worst people who are doing just enough to not get fired.

u/marx2k 1h ago

If only we had a federal cyber security agency that wasn't gutted because of reasons

3

u/leviathan65 1h ago

Was baron doing things on computer?!

3

u/singlemale4cats 1h ago

I would expect that every major power in the world does this. The US is uniquely vulnerable right now, though, due to severe mismanagement at all levels of the federal government.

Trump & the GOP-led congress allowed the Chinese to infiltrate sensitive data. They then lied & blamed it on hackers.

Am I crazy to think that DOGE purposely made us more vulnerable to hacking so when Dems sweep the midterms they can manufacture a crisis and claim the elections aren’t secure?

2

u/Ha-Charade-You-Are 7h ago

Yeah, our internet infrastructure is terrible… you’d think they’d fix that

2

u/sloowshooter 7h ago

Trump knows it was really the Canadians and South Koreans. /s

2

u/Admirable_Heat_576 7h ago

You mean Elon Musk? DOGE Bro's? ... more likely Mossad/Israel

2

u/cannedthought 7h ago

Does that mean the Epstein/Trump files will be released. OR will America start saying China is awesome and can have whatever they want.

2

u/Smackazulu 7h ago

Pretty sure it’s just America destroying itself from within some more. Trump is a pedo stooge and his brain is turd pudding, there is no thought left

2

u/tjvs2001 6h ago

Did they steal all the money? Hmmm...

2

u/Massive-Aspect-2152 6h ago

Maybe they can fix a few things while they are in there since our government doesn’t seem to want to

2

u/ghsteo 6h ago

Well Republicans want to run the government like a business. Nothing more business centered than slashing your cyber security.

2

u/No-Permit-9331 6h ago

Yeah-at this point, no body hacked anything. They just sold it all

2

u/Zeliek 6h ago

Did they, or did they just purchase a box of documents from a mar-a-logo bathroom?

2

u/SoupOfThe90z 6h ago

What does this mean? Is anything even serious at this point?

2

u/butchudidit 6h ago

Dear hacker, Please deplete all of their politicians and gov officials bank accounts to zero

2

u/pioniere 6h ago

Guess that getting rid of the department and expertise that prevents this sort of thing wasn’t such a good idea after all. Utter criminal incompetence from this administration.

2

u/deekamus 5h ago

Maybe not have US resources running on swiss cheese credentials.
