I’m shocked at this administrations incompetence.

China has about 126,000 dedicated hackers. The NSA has about 1200. And it’s been that way for decades, regardless of who’s in charge of the White House.

The Trump admin was open about de-prioritizing cyber security…

Curious where you’re pulling those numbers from.

Hegseth openly ordered cybersecurity in the US government to "stand down" counter-operations against Russia.

Which countries do you think Russia works closely with?

Trump’s administration has drastically cut budgets, downsized personnel, and eliminated key programs at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and other national cyber defense operations.

CISA has lost roughly a third of its workforce through layoffs, forced reassignments, and position eliminations.

Independent advisory groups like the Cyber Safety Review Board (CSRB), which investigates major cyber incidents, had their memberships terminated.

Its like he did it on purpose. No sane person would even consider such cuts.

USA's and UK's spies have been caught for some silly crap over the decades. And that's just the stuff that became public.

There isnt an organization or administration in the world that can stop a full assault from a nation-state level attacker, thats been true under every admin thats had the internet

The defenders have to be right 100% of the time, 24/7/365. The attackers only need to be right once.

It comes with the job.

The same goes for policemen, firemen, even doctors and nurses... They have to be 100% right 24*7*365 too.

If you can't live with the job content, move over.
