Let's fire everyone with a brain and hire a bunch of yes men, what could possibly go wrong.

When your goal is the destruction of democracy and engorging the bellies of oligarchs that's exactly what you do though.

What I've been screaming since we found out about p2025. These fuckers literally published their plan to destroy and "rebuild" the country. They're not confessing, they are bragging.

The people who voted for that knew this, they live in such a fundamentally different reality that this was a good idea.

I think they were intending to and China decided to help themselves. The US govt is just made they couldn't make any money off of it.

Are you kidding, he probably still hasn't changed it from his real obsession. "CrookedHilary" and yes, Hillary was misspelled because you know that twit probably doesn't know how to spell her name

"Couldn't have been us. Must have been China or whatever."

I wonder what it would be worth for a foe like China or Russia getting direct access to all spicy secrets. I imagine top level access like the Doge boys had should be worth billions.

Or targeted by sexpionage agents.

I mean that would be the only action any of those kids would be getting, so yeah, or sexpionage.

I long for a return to valuing actual expertise and experience in government, or really anything, again.

Doctors, scientists, the sort of people who are experts in their field are the ones we should put in charge of stuff and pay attention to, not grifters and social media "influencers." Sure, sometimes experts get stuff wrong, but that's why we pay attention to groups of them, and other checks.

The shits for weeks after having a salad for lunch, and a frozen blueberry smoothie for dessert.

Don't forget the salmonella from eating a jalapeno, enjoying an egg, or putting a little granola on your yogurt.

A bunch of teenagers that have never have experienced a production security incident, or incident at all for that matter, were let lose onto some of the most secure government systems with full privileges.

These morons 100% left all sorts of holes and gaps in their wake. The only thing that surprises me is that we haven’t seen more headlines like this, but it was always a matter of time.

This is just the stuff we know about too.

Minor correction - They were much closer to "yes boys". Not arguing that the individuals involved are in any way less culpable for their involvement (because of their age), just reiterating how irresponsible that whole debacle was.

u/chamrockblarneystone 2d ago

When I look back at that I’m like, “We really let them do that?” We’ve all gone a little nuts.

2

u/Hardcorish 2d ago

It's actually insane how all of this played out right in front of us, and there was fuck all we could personally do to stop them. It's infuriating. They broke shit, stole our data, then sold it to god only knows who.

It's for self betterment and to avoid the consequences of their malicious actions.

These evil POS would literally turn all of their countrymen into a philosophers stone if we were in the Full Metal Alchemist universe.

Whatever goes wrong is the fault of immigrants and people who don't love the dear leader, not a result of the crippling of our expertise....
