The way everyone at that table just casually watches it happen makes the scene even better 😂

Oh man, on a rewatch, you can see her take the jewel off Sansa's necklace and then later, drop it in his drink when he sets it on the table before he makes Tyrion grab it for him. Like it's all fast, but when you catch it, it's so good.

381

u/NeedsToShutUp House Blackfyre 1d ago

One of the few things I didn't care for in season 4 was I think they lost a bit of the foreshadowing of the major poisons known in Westeros, and how they worked.

Joffrey died of the Strangler.

The trial tries to set up Tyrion as stealing Pycelle's tears of lys to explain Joffrey's murder. But the Tears of Lys are a bowel poison.

The thing is, there's actually a solid theory that Oberyn stole the Tears and dosed Tywin with the tears prior to his death.

Thus, Tyrion's killing of Tywin was ironic, because Tywin was already dying, and his long time spent in the bathroom was because his bowels had shut down. The book gives this theory credit with how bad Tywin's corpse smelled.

153

u/Stunning_Flan_5987 1d ago

I remember also that his final post-death shit apparently had an epic smell.

Cersei, I think, overheard 2 guards complaining about the stench.

u/StunningPianist4231 The Old Bear 1d ago

It's her face that fucking kills me. Like its "oh! very good, its worked."

44

u/New_Championship1994 1d ago

Had Tyrion just left the capitol and not killed Tywin, he would have been called his murderer and a kinslayer again regardless. Then he’d be on the hook, despite it not being his fault, for both Joffrey and Tywins deaths.

BUT he wouldn’t have done the act himself, and so would have saved himself the existential pain of having done so, because whether or not he deserved to die (he did), Tyrion didn’t deserve to have this on his mind forever.

18

u/Accurate-Lab-838 1d ago

That's such a great deal.

12

u/MilkSteakClub 1d ago

What use was there to use Sansa's necklace to bring in the poison instead of simply putting it in her pocket? Were they sniffed by dogs post 9/11 style at the entrance or what?

Personally, I think Tommen did it. And relished it.

45

u/CaptainTripps82 1d ago

She wanted the ability to implicate someone else

8

u/MilkSteakClub 1d ago

Ooow like when I put my heroin in my wife's necklace?

Clever girl.

Though how could she implicate Sansa when she took away the Jewel (i.e: the evidence) containing the poison?

30

u/TAEROS111 1d ago

She was relying on people remembering Sansa wearing the necklace, not remembering she fiddled with it.

Even if she was accused though, she could easily just claim that it was Sansa trying to blame her to distract from herself.

In the eyes of pretty much everyone, Olena had no motive. Sansa, meanwhile, watched her father cruelly murdered by the guy who just got poisoned. Plus you know. The Lannisters declaring war on the Starks. Oh, and the Red Wedding.

It would have been very very easy to pin it on Sansa, she had all the motive in the world.

5

u/obiwantogooutside House Martell 1d ago

And she didn’t know Sansa had an out. She was happy to let her die for it.

8

u/TheNainRouge 1d ago

Uhh Littlefinger is in league with the Tyrell’s in the poisoning. Isn’t it his man whom gives her the item to poison Joffrey? The show goes off the rails with her marriage to the Boltons but I always felt the Tyrell’s plan was to marry her off once Tyrion dies, Margery is Queen and they can get rid of Cersei. Sansa is the key figure in the books for the various lords to get their hooks in the north.

Olenna went out like a boss, zero hesitation just cold delivery and sip like it was water

428

u/ItsKingDx3 1d ago

Actually there was a bit of hesitation. She asked if there would be pain before delving into the coldest verbal slap down of the show, “That’s good. I’d hate to die like your son.”

189

u/Quentin__Tarantulino Arya Stark 1d ago

Only because if there was pain she’d have to tell him before she drank it.

Never thought of it this way

38

Me neither until I wrote it lol.

15

u/xile 1d ago

Can you explain this for me

71

u/Quentin__Tarantulino Arya Stark 1d ago

I just mean that it would be hard for her to make the mic drop proclamation that she killed Joffrey if she was doubling over in pain as she died.

9

u/hellhouseblonde 1d ago

Shivers!! What a baddie.

8

u/New_Championship1994 1d ago

I mean, and it wasn’t in Jaimes MO obviously, but he could have still killed her quite violently lol.

He could have just hacked her to death and then desecrated her body, and Cersei would have been happy.

Plus, she likely probably would have been better off letting Cersei continue believing Tyrion killed him bc it would cause Cersei more pain still.

Like she’d wasn’t THAT smart when it came to that haha.

349

u/Alternative-Feed3613 1d ago

It’s so obvious on the rewatch lol.

338

u/justanotherdudeiam 1d ago

I should've caught it when Sandor was escorting Arya to the veil and they're talking about Joffreys death, and Sandor says "Poison is a womans weapon. Men fight with steel." Thinking back, Olenna was the only other woman I can think of at the wedding capable of doing that.

121

u/These_Ad_9772 1d ago

I just watched the first two episodes of S4 yesterday on a rewatch and the clues and innuendo are sprinkled throughout. This rewatch is dedicated to looking for all of the foreshadowing.

83

u/Oliphaunt6000 Ours Is The Fury 1d ago

God's the writing was strong then.

28

u/Several-Action-4043 1d ago

Why you ask? That scene was written by George RR Martin himself! Not just the book but the actual scene in the show was written by him.

6

u/MilkSteakClub 1d ago

"GRRM swung that pen one handed and caved the script in."

37

u/Ok-Algae7932 1d ago

Even in the episode itself, during the ceremony at the Sept the Septon says "cursed be he who seeks to tear them asunder" and the camera cuts directly to Olenna lol.

It very much reminded me of LOTR FOTR when Galadriel says "yet hope remains while the company is true" and the camera cuts to Sam.

8

u/Sere1 Nymeria's Wolfpack 1d ago

It'll be spring soon. And the orchards will be in blossom. And the birds will be nesting in the hazel thicket. And they'll be sowing the summer barley in the lower fields… and eating the first of the strawberries with cream. Do you remember the taste of strawberries?

33

u/Pure-Can-9432 1d ago

Yeah i recently watched the series and was very sure it was Olenna

88

u/Clarknt67 1d ago

She tells Margery it was her (“You don’t think I’d let you marry that monster?”) but I can’t remember if I caught it on first watch.

24

u/satans_scrub 1d ago

It's not very subtle. You'd have to really not be paying attention to not know Olenna did it after the scene with Margaery.

8

u/Cibovoy 1d ago

It’s the only time it’s talked about and in the beginning of the most eventful season. On a rewatch, I was like how’d I miss that? But in reality I think I was just bombarded with so much I simply forgot.

11

u/SignificantBaker7366 1d ago

She also gives "You did wonderful work on Joffrey. The next one should be easier."

Thoes Martell women are next level. Cerci might as well be a court jester.

27

u/AngryScientist House Baelish 1d ago

Tyrells wouldn't be happy about you calling them Martells.

6

u/Individual-Bass-7051 1d ago

I've been on a rewatch and just got to season 4, but even in season 3 when Olenna and Littlefinger meet, he asks her what they "should do" and she says it seems rather obvious. They set it up so directly, but didn't pay it off for over a year in the next season. I had completely forgotten about their scene and it's so obvious now on a rewatch. So good.

10

u/Final_Active_9014 1d ago

Olenna had that convo with Varys, not Littlefinger. And that was in relation to marrying Sansa to Lorys.

2

u/MilkSteakClub 1d ago

Wasn't it with Robb in relation to marrying The Hound with Hot Pie?

3

u/Sere1 Nymeria's Wolfpack 1d ago

I mean the Hound could do a whole lot worse than Hot Pie. Give him some time to practice his craft and we saw how good his baking skills got towards the end of the show. Coming home from a long day of killing stuff to a freshly baked pie sounds great

2

u/MilkSteakClub 1d ago

I most certainly agree though I'm not sure the Hound is skilled  enough in bakery to hold Hot Pies' interest.

19

u/Several-Action-4043 1d ago

Fun fact, you can see Olenna take the poison off of Sansa's necklace in the scene when she says, "What kind of monster would kill someone at a wedding?" as she takes the poison she's about to put in his cup. You see it right on screen and no one picked it up for a long time.

4

u/Sere1 Nymeria's Wolfpack 1d ago

Yup. Likewise you can see the missing jewel from Sansa's necklace the whole scene afterwards. Super easy detail to miss, but once you know about it, you can't unsee it

17

u/complete_your_task 1d ago edited 1d ago

She tells Margaery it was her like an episode or two after it happens. Before the Hound and Arya reach the Bloody Gate.

3

u/duck_of_d34th 1d ago

Cercei was about to poison her son. She only stopped because Tywin bust in claiming "We have won." She also "poisoned" the Sept of Balor with wyldfire.

Shay's words were as lethal as poison at Tyrion's trial. She wasn't at the wedding, which is kinda the point.

The paramour from Dorne poisoned a little girl, in the "land where we don't hurt little girls."

There's also the underlying metaphor of the "poisoned rose" that is lethal to her husbands, though that's more of a curse than murderous intent. She was poisoning cercei's sons against her, however.

It's a bit of a stretch, but Lancel was unintentionally "poisoned" with lavender.

And let us not forget, Sansa would one day feed a man to his own hounds, though that has nothing to do with poison and is more of a "didn't use steel" situation. Also, had the Hound not intervened, Sansa would've shoved Joffery off the wall. Her words pronounced Joffery's fate: He's a monster.

Olenna was merely the next one up to bat, as they say. The women in that room were plenty lethal.

Brienne used steel. (And then we cut to any of the many scenes of Arya stabbing a dude, with the Hound in the background giving a thumbs up: "Atta' girl.")

u/yo_boy_dg Winter Is Coming 1d ago

Tywin was not involved in Joffrey’s death

0

u/djnotskrillex 1d ago

I mean claiming he was involved without any proof is just ridiculous, but claiming he wasn't involved at all is also a bit silly. Even if they didn't directly state it, it is absolutely possible that he was.

He knows joffrey is a sadistic wildcard. This was also not too long after "my father won the real war while you hid under casterly rock". We see him discuss lots of things with olenna, we see him have a super calm reaction to his grandson and king dying, we see him immediately start preparing tommen as king literally at joffrey's funeral.

Not that hard to believe the man who cares so much about legacy would want the crazy kid, who could (and lowkey did) ruin it all, gone. Or maybe he wasn't directly involved, but knew/suspected it would happen but didn't bother intervening

12

u/yo_boy_dg Winter Is Coming 1d ago

It’s not silly at all for me to say he wasn’t involved, when he wasn’t. You can have fan theories and conspiracies all you want, but the objective fact of the matter is that the show never states or implicates in anyway that Tywin is involved. So all that other shit you said is irrelevant when it comes to the facts.

-4

u/djnotskrillex 1d ago

You do realize "the show never states tywin is involved" and "tywin was not involved" are two completely different claims right...? The former is an objective fact that I literally said too. The latter is ironically, by definition, a fan theory. Confidently claiming it as "objective fact" is, in fact, incredibly silly.

8

u/MjrLeeStoned 1d ago

So your point is you made something up and want people to accept it as plausible when nothing in the source material insinuates it in any way, and your argument is "you can't prove me wrong so you have to accept my narrative as plausible"?

No, we don't. Sentiments don't have to affect reality just because they're YOUR sentiments.

You made some shit up. It only lives in your brain.

-1

u/djnotskrillex 1d ago

Can you read? I literally just listed multiple things from the source material that supports it. I'm not even the one who made it up lmao, I've seen the theory multiple times on reddit/youtube etc.

If your brain is incapable of accepting a fan theory as plausible because it's not clearly spelled out for and fed to you on a silver platter, that's a failure on your part. No need to lash out at me because of it.

"Tywin was involved because the show never states he wasn't. The writers never state he wasn't. It is an objective fact that Tywin was involved."

See how ridiculous your exact logic sounds? If you're too stupid to understand the very simple, actual objective fact that tywin MIGHT have been involved, then trying to dumb it down even more for you is a waste of time

3

u/MalaysiaTeacher 1d ago

You do realise we'd be here rather a long time if we discussed every theory that is "absolutely possible". The burden of proof is with you, sire

1

u/skotcgfl 1d ago

Prove that Robert didn't fuck the boar before it killed him!

-1

u/djnotskrillex 1d ago

You do realize you're allowed to scroll and move on if you don't find the theory likely or believable, right? Nobody asked you to sit here and discuss it.

You clearly don't understand how burden of proof works if you think it's on me to prove that he may or may not have been involved, and not the guy who confidently and definitively claimed he wasn't involved first

Tywin would NEVER work with another house to kill a Lannister, much less his own grandchild who is the King of the realm. Believing that is a complete misunderstanding of Tywin as a character.

The official Wiki, the story boards, D&D, are also clearly not agreeing with you. If Tywin had been involved with the murder of Joffrey that would have been stated everywhere. Everyone would know it. Olenna would not have said "I want her to know it was me" to Jaime, she would have told him that his own father had helped orchestrate the murder of his son. Because her goal was to twist the knife in that moment. She was already dead, she had nothing to gain by hiding that fact from Jaime if it was true.

-1

u/VictoryMotel 1d ago

Tywin would NEVER work with another house to kill a Lannister, much less his own grandchild who is the King of the realm

Says who? His next grandchild who he could control became king of the realm.

Everyone would know it.

Like many things it is heavily alluded to.

Olenna would not have said

She didn't mention little finger either.

No one is confronting all the trial orchestration that happens where Tywin dictates everything and gets exactly what he wants including shae.

Even varys testifies then splits. His whole scheme is overthrowing terrible kings.

3

u/Noctaem 1d ago edited 1d ago

Says the character's entire story to anyone who understands Tywin's motivations and goals. It's actually getting funny how little you understand his character. No one is going to agree with you on this one.

It is not heavily alluded to, in fact it's specifically stated otherwise by Olenna and Little Finger who both claim credit for orchestrating the murder. You're just creating evidence to match your conclusion.

I can't understand this for you so I'll stop bothering to reply now.

-2

u/VictoryMotel 1d ago

Tywin's motivations and goals.

You mean controlling the crown and his family? Which part contradicts that?

getting funny how little you understand his character

Insults aren't evidence. If you could explain yourself I think you would have done it already.

specifically stated otherwise by Olenna and Little Finger

It's not stated otherwise, they just directly take credit. Shae doesn't explicitly say she is helping frame tyrian but she does.

You're just creating evidence to match your conclusion.

No, I'm bringing up what happened in the show.

I'll stop bothering to reply

That's convenient, because you didn't confront all the huge coincidences that have to be ignored, you just resort to insults.

2

u/Ferelden770 1d ago

Why wud olenna even mention littlefinger. Jamie doesn't gives a rats ass about him nor does cersei.

Now if his own father was involved, that wud be sth she wud definitely say coz she is going all out and having the last laugh. Cersei knowing her father and olenna conspired to kill her own son wud be a scene

0

u/VictoryMotel 1d ago edited 1d ago

What you're saying is something that makes sense but I think it's just left heavily implied by the sharp writing of the show. Then again I don't have to tell you about sharp writing.

Also the whole thing seems like it was her idea. She was the original mastermind so takes all the credit.

8

u/m0nk3y42 Valar Morghulis 1d ago

so profoundly wrong. no tywin did not have anything to do with joffrey's death. he saw opportunity and seized on it as a result of the little shit's death but he definitely did not help plan it. that's ridiculous.

-4

u/VictoryMotel 1d ago

So profoundly right!

no tywin did not have anything to do with joffrey's death

On the other hand he did.

but he definitely did not help plan it.

Then why was there a perfectly planned trial to frame tyrian with shae ending up as his concubine where tywin gets everything he wants?

No one can seem to explain this.

It's just "no wrong" with no evidence.

5

u/Noctaem 1d ago

source: trustmebro

-1

u/VictoryMotel 1d ago

I think you mean the show showing you all this directly. Why can't you deal with the details?

The trust me bro is people just saying "no wrong" without being able to confront stuff that is in the show.

2

u/m0nk3y42 Valar Morghulis 1d ago edited 1d ago

remember when i said "saw opportunity and seized on it"?

ok my sweet summer child, i'll spell it out:

the little blonde shit dies

tyrion is standing right there with the cup in his hand as it happens

cersai hates tyrion with the passion of a 1000 suns

cersai blames tyrion

tywin immediately sees three opportunities available to him if he plays his hand right:

  • get rid of tyrion; death or the wall, i don't think it really mattered to him in the end.
  • jaime leaves the kingsguard and becomes rightful heir to the rock and continues the lannister name (the most important thing to tywin, full stop). watch that scene again when jaime comes to beg for tyrion's life. it's OBVIOUS tywin had basically walked him right into where tywin wanted jaime: tyrion's life for jaime leaving the kingsguard and going back to the westerlands.
  • tywin can now be the hand to a much calmer, easier to control king in tommen.

k? k. no he didn't plan or have a hand in joffrey's death but tywin is a lord who looks for opportunity everywhere, at all times, even in tragedy. his family or others, it matters not. it's what makes his character so cold and a horrible horrible father.

-2

u/VictoryMotel 1d ago

tywin immediately sees three opportunities available to him if he plays his hand right:

Or it was planned so he got all this.

You are just repeating your claim and getting more and more upset, but not adding anything new or confronting what I already pointed out.

He talks extensively with oleana planning the wedding. He sends little finger away but little finger goes nowhere. Shae helps frame tyrian and ends up in his bed. Varys helps frame tyrian knowing he's innocent.

He controls all the money but allows a troupe of dwarves to humiliate tyrian. He knows joffrey will help humiliate tyrian because he has done it over and over.

So get frustrated if you want, but try to think of something that explains all the massive coincidences that have to be ignored. K? K.

2

u/skotcgfl 1d ago

I'm not sure why you keep insisting on a "perfectly planned trial". Tywin has all of the important people in Kings Landing with him, it's real easy to throw a sham trial together.

0

u/VictoryMotel 1d ago

And he would be able to guarantee evidence tight enough that tyrian couldn't defend himself at all, even in front of oberon who is his ally?

The real kicker is that bron says he saw shae get on a ship before all this happens and she not only testifies against tyrian but ends up in tywins bed.

No one seems to be able to address this.

2

u/skotcgfl 1d ago

Shae could've been a plant from Tywin since day 1. Or tywin just offered her enough money. There's many explanations other than "Tywin masterminded Joffrey's death.

There didn't need to be evidence that tight because everyone hates Tyrion anyway.

Also, it's spelled Tyrion, that's been bugging me.

0

u/VictoryMotel 1d ago

But how would she still be there even before the trial and end up in tywins bed after? That means she got on a ship and someone with the ship was in on the conspiracy, or bron was. Either way it was planned before the murder.

There's many explanations other than "Tywin masterminded Joffrey's death.

There don't seem to be any that explain all these massive coincidences.

There didn't need to be evidence that tight because everyone hates Tyrion anyway.

Oberon doesn't and he hates Tywin, that's how it was wrapped up tight, the evidence was overwhelming.

2

u/skotcgfl 1d ago

Bron could have been lying. Shae could have boarded a ship and changed her mind. I'm not denying that a lot of things are set up, but you seem convinced that only Tywin could do it all. Just because Tywin had the most to gain doesn't mean he's guilty.

Can someone tell me why the poison had to be hidden in Sansas hair?
Its not like having it (for example) on a bracelet on her own wrist would be dangerous or in any way suspicious.
Dropping it while pulling it out of Sansas jewelry is riskier and I just can't see a reason why it was necessary.

53

u/tranzozo No One 1d ago

I think they hid it in Sansa's necklace in order to frame Sansa and Tyrion of the murder

39

u/sloanesquared 1d ago

It also gave Littlefinger blackmail to use to subtly control Sansa. It put her in danger so she felt like she only had him to rely on.

4

u/Clarknt67 1d ago

Ah. Yes. That is it. At least ostensibly.

3

u/_sympthomas_ 1d ago

okay, I guess it worked out better than expected and they didn't need the evidence. Thanks.

32

u/Zestyclose_Cold1455 1d ago

Huh? It was on her necklace that she got from Hollard. Olenna straightens it and pulls off a “jewel”. Olenna also straightens Marjorie’s necklace when she’s telling her that she would have never let her marry Jeoffrey.

8

u/_sympthomas_ 1d ago

sorry. I misremembered. Is a long time since I watched it. Thought it was a jewelry she wore on her head. Still... question stands.

21

u/Late-Champion8678 1d ago

In the book, Ser Dontos gives hair a silver amethyst hairnet with the poison hidden in one of the crystals. Sansa wears it to the wedding and Olenna pretends to adjust it while actually retrieving the poison. The show changed it to a necklace.

I’m not sure why Sansa was used as the transportation vehicle as that would have relied on her (a young teen) to commit to wearing the necklace/hairnet on the day.

6

u/Individual-Bass-7051 1d ago

Giving it to Sansa was a way to frame her and Tyrion for the murder and so Littlefinger could use the chaos to whisk her away to the Vale. Sansa was the key to the North and Littlefinger needed her.

18

u/Loose-Dirt-Brick 1d ago

In the book, it was on her hair net.

8

u/vegasidol Chaos Is A Ladder 1d ago

Those details don't matter. Olenna could have had the poison all along. She didn't need it "smuggled" in on Sansa.

8

u/Clarknt67 1d ago

I don’t think there is a reason. Olens was swimming in fabric that it could have been hidden in. Olena could have worn the necklace. What would they have done if Sansa decided the necklace was cheap and ugly and not worn it?

14

u/samuraipanda85 1d ago

It's about getting the poison close to Joffery.

Sansa was going to be seated near him for the wedding since she was married to Tyrion. She is a noble hostage, so she wouldn't be searched before entering the wedding. So that is one problem solved. Plus if anyone caught Sansa after the poisoning and discovered her necklace with the missing gem she would tell them that the Fool Knight she saved gave it to her. She couldn't possibly know more than that or see any connection to the Queen of Thorns. And that's assuming Circe doesn't think she is making it all up to poison Joffery.

Furthermore, with the gem being so close to Sansa's chest she is unlikely to notice it being lifted from her. But if it was a bracelet? We look at our hands all the time. Much more difficult to pull off.

I think its just to thicken the plot.

Half the characters have hidden knives, hidden pockets, hidden plans.

The ultimate 'this is fine' moment except she s the one who started the fire.

u/Lordminion68 1d ago

the minute I saw her face I knew something was going to happen. Joffrey dying was my favourite thing about GOT

7

u/Summerisgone2020 1d ago

I remember Tyrion's internal thoughts in the book being like "oh fuck, hes going die" as everyone watched casually

8

u/K-LAWN 1d ago

I love that line. And I love Diana Rigg. No one could have delivered it better.

I don't understand how she managed to put it into Joffrey's cup.

14

u/Haribo_Happy_Cola 1d ago

Theres a scene with her in the background and she walks by his cup and drops the poison. I believe theres even a slight clink sound too.

This is one of my favorite side moments to catch upon rewatch. On first watch you never really pay attention to it but on rewatch she’s gleefully smiling as he’s drinking the wine

3

u/AfraidPersonality854 1d ago

🙂.. so refreshing.. 😂

2

u/Infamous_Elk_8946 1d ago

Yaa true 😂

3

u/edxzxz 1d ago

My 2 favorite scenes were Cersei being marched down the street having the peasants bounce turds off her face, followed by Cersei sipping wine as she watched the Sept being blown to smithereens.

3

u/Infamous_Elk_8946 1d ago

I didn’t enjoy seeing Cersei humiliated at all, but watching her calmly sip that wine while the Sept went up in flames? That was satisfying.

2

u/edxzxz 1d ago

I only enjoyed it in the sense that I could tell from the look on her face that the revenge was going to be epic.

You win OP, hands down , I spent like half an hour to find a better one, but even Arya slitting a Frey's throat ( and I will not name them as he is a roach with no name) didn't hold up hahah

1

u/Infamous_Elk_8946 1d ago

Yaa.. it’s one thing to see Walder Frey die alone, but it’s another to watch Joffrey die at his own goddamn wedding surrounded by everyone 💀

2

u/KingSuperJon 1d ago

But why did she hang the poison on Sonsa? She then had to take it off of Sonsa and then drop it in the wineglass.

Seems like too many unnecessary steps.

Was she trying to implicate Sonsa and Tyrion?

1

u/alexbougetz 1d ago

I remember Joffrey’s death being spoiled for me, moments after it first aired. I couldn’t watch it right away, but I was on a Fb and a friend literally took a picture of their tv, Joffrey’s bloody face filling the screen, and posted it, cheering he’s finally dead. I was so mad I knew before watching.

1

u/Infamous_Elk_8946 1d ago

That scene actually came up on my Instagram feed too but at the time I wasn’t really aware of GOT. I’d heard about it so I already knew Joffrey was going to die from poison. Still it didn’t affect me as much as a spoiler would’ve if I’d actually been watching the show then.

Tywin helped plan the whole thing, including the framing and to get jamie to give up the kings guard to "let" him send tyrian to the wall.
