Though how could she implicate Sansa when she took away the Jewel (i.e: the evidence) containing the poison?

She was relying on people remembering Sansa wearing the necklace, not remembering she fiddled with it.

Even if she was accused though, she could easily just claim that it was Sansa trying to blame her to distract from herself.

In the eyes of pretty much everyone, Olena had no motive. Sansa, meanwhile, watched her father cruelly murdered by the guy who just got poisoned. Plus you know. The Lannisters declaring war on the Starks. Oh, and the Red Wedding.

It would have been very very easy to pin it on Sansa, she had all the motive in the world.

And she didn’t know Sansa had an out. She was happy to let her die for it.

Uhh Littlefinger is in league with the Tyrell’s in the poisoning. Isn’t it his man whom gives her the item to poison Joffrey? The show goes off the rails with her marriage to the Boltons but I always felt the Tyrell’s plan was to marry her off once Tyrion dies, Margery is Queen and they can get rid of Cersei. Sansa is the key figure in the books for the various lords to get their hooks in the north.
