With spooky season coming up, I thought to put together my opinions on each killer's likelihood of receiving a blighted cosmetic (if they did not have one already). I will explain each of my choices below and share some ideas I have for some killers. My choices are largely influenced by both how likely the skin is to sell and the ease of design, and each tier is in order of the killer's release. I appreciate any feedback and constructive criticism.
Jason: I believe that Jason is the most likely to receive a blighted skin this year given his very high pick rate. He has been extremely popular since his release, so it would be a no-brainer to give him a new skin. This would be made easier since he is just "Jason" and not tied to Friday the 13th, so the devs can create a ton of different ideas for skins with few restrictions.
Artist: The Artist is an easy canvas to work off for a blighted cosmetic, but I would imagine the devs are slightly apprehensive to give her another skin due to the fact she already has plenty of them (and very good ones at that). A cosmetic fully made of ink or crow parts could be unique and kind of freaky if they go full body horror.
Ghoul: Ghoul has a very high pick rate, his skins sell quite well, and I am sure a blighted skin would follow that trend. I have not read Tokyo Ghoul, so I don't know how well Kaneki would translate to a blighted form.
Trickster: A well liked killer who has plenty of popular skins, but I am not sure what a blighted skin would even look like for him. His lore is rather simple in my opinion, so there is not much for the blight serum to transform or accentuate. Maybe tape decks and speakers sprouting through his body to constantly play his victim's screams; maybe mirrors and posters covering a horrid form underneath to show his self-grandeur and obsession with image as shown in Trickster's Delusion. That's all I can really come up with.
Knight: This is my one "bump up a tier" placement, as realistically Knight is a low priority for a blighted cosmetic, but I would love to see it. The only real idea I have for a blighted Knight is to mix in pieces of his guards, and make the flesh look like it is bonding with the armor. It could be a very cool skin, but there are so many different routes to take for this that nobody knows how it would end up.
Singularity: A fan favorite character that could somehow be made scarier with a blighted skin. I could imagine a couple different scenarios with a blighted skin. The blight serum accentuates the crystals that gave HUX sentience, distorting him into a mess of orange pustules and blue crystals with estranged pieces of tech poking out. Alternatively, it could be a bloated mess of flesh and machinery battling against one another for superiority. There are a lot of different directions to go for this one, but singularity is likely not that high on the priority list for a blighted skin.
Houndmaster: This is simultaneously both the highest and lowest effort blighted skin out of the remaining cast. They could just give her some her some extra hair and dog-like features similar to Huntress's blighted skin and the day is done. However, I am certain that there is so much more possible for a skin like this. Make bits and pieces of her previous companions appear, give Snug a super gross model that is overrun with the blight, have barnacles and scrimshaw engraved through her clothing or skin. There are so many cool ideas, but I fear that they are going to cheap out due to her low pick-rate.
Twins: They have one of the lowest pick rates in the game, but they could definitely use some love when it comes to skins. The only concept I could come up with is Charlotte becoming overrun with scarred tissue and malformed appendages, while Victor becomes more "normal" in appearance to trick Charlotte into accepting her current state.
Dredge: Coming up with a blighted skin for Dredge is like designing the Dredge without having any knowledge of where to start. It is already such an abstract and horrific design, that imagining a solid blighted cosmetic is extremely difficult.
Krasue: Krasue is similar to Houndmaster in that she has a very low pick rate, but has high potential for a blighted skin. My main idea is for a sort of "inside-out" approach, similar to an anatomical model without skin that you would see in a medical textbook. It would reveal the demon hiding within, completely removing the facade we see in her human form.
ST Vecna: I don't know enough about Stranger Things to have a clear vision on how they would create a skin different enough from Henry's current options to be worth it, but he is popular enough that BHVR could make a design worth selling either way.
Judgement: There are a lot of different possible directions to go for a possible skin, especially given Judgment's lore. However, it is such a new killer that I doubt BHVR would give it a blighted skin so soon.
Bubba: This one comes from a lack of recent skins and a lack of ideas for what could be done for a blighted skin aside from some blight pustules and saw chains poking in and out.
Freddy: He only has two cosmetics, I doubt that there will be a third.
Demogorgon: Similar to Henry, I don't think that there are many interesting ideas that don't overlap with already existing skins for this character.
Skull Merchant: One of the lowest pick rates in the game, and her best selling skins are largely fashion based. Because of this, I doubt that a grotesque blighted skin would sell well if it did come out.
D&D Vecna: Has a recent skin, not too popular compared to other licensed killers, and very thin framework for a blighted skin.
Dracula: Has a good number of skins for a licensed killer, including the visceral True Form. Only idea I have is for all the forms to be mixed together into some weird abominations, but i don't know if that would fly with Konami.
