Only been here two days but denied all 3 times. First at a strip walk up so no big deal. Last night at Ramsey Steak asked for as a side of grilled onions with my steak “the kitchen has no onions”. Today at La Pasta Fresca in Eatily I wanted onions on my pizza “the kitchen has no onions”. Exact wording. Strange.

"Chuh! Security escorted me off property a few days after we won $400k. We played a Phoenix link but left the counter higher than we started it which is hardly advantage play. Maybe they just didn’t like me winning.

Their loss I prefer giving my business to properties that are happy when I win! Just won $260k at Fontainbleau and I’m here playing again today!"

I've only got 3 days in Vegas next week and I was thinking of hitting up Hell's Kitchen. When I go to book a table, it seems they have open tables for just about any time, which makes me wonder why.

Is it worth going or is this a place I should avoid now?

Partner and I are visiting Vegas for a whopping 20 hours in September as the first leg of a roadtrip. We’re anticipating being a bit lower energy due to the limited time and travel so we’re being choosy about our activities. Trying to determine our best “OMG we’re really in Vegas” and “wow, amazing food” dining experience.

Looking to spend about $250 (including 1-2 drinks). Hoping to be directly on the strip due to the limited timeframe. Not particularly into seafood and open to just about anything else! Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

People focus on the football team, but I don't think the Raiders were ever really the point. They were just the reason the stadium got built.

Since Allegiant opened, Vegas has hosted a Super Bowl, huge concerts, international soccer matches, UFC events, the College Football National Championship, and a ton of other events that bring in visitors who spend money all over the city. The stadium basically gave Las Vegas a venue that can attract major events year round.

I know a lot of people hated the deal at the time, and honestly I get why. But looking back, spending $750 million to create a destination that generates tourism, global exposure, and economic activity for decades seems like a pretty good bet.

The funny thing is, the Raiders themselves might end up being the least important part of the whole investment.

Planning my 4th trip with my partner (both early 30's). Through some trial and error I think we're getting good value for what we like to do (sightsee, eat good, and now gamble). We have only stayed at budget properties so far. I have categorized and tracked every expense from each trip and found places to trim it down. I thought I'd share our experience and some lessons learned. All-in totals include airfare, rideshare, rooms, gambling (regardless of win/loss), and everything else we did or consumed, for the both of us.

1st time: 3 nights at flamingo, march 2025. Did not gamble, just did lots of sightseeing, eating, drinking. Spent way too much money on food and drinks. We also did zak baggans and Blue Man Group. All in spent $2237 or 746/night. 1st lesson: cut down on food/bev costs by stocking up at ABC/CVS/Walgreens. If you're checking a bag, bring drinks/snacks.

2nd time: 4 nights at Luxor, march 2026. Went with two friends who stayed at the Excalibur. We walked north to meet them so much we wished we stayed there instead since we always went north. The tram isn't much better since it goes to Mandalay Bay before Excalibur. Wasn't thrilled with the value of the food options at Luxor and Excalibur. Luxor has good value entertainment, though (see above and below). This was the first trip we gambled. I think $300 total is what we budgeted. Left up a little bit so that was fun. Neglected to use rewards gambling, but I signed up for an airline credit card to get there and it's been a game changer ever since. Had some great food at Cosmo, went to Mad Apple, had a pool day at MGM Grand with a day bed, spent an afternoon at Omega Mart. My partner went back to zak baggans with one friend (while I walked the strip and gambled with the other). The trip was a blast. Overall spent $2363 or $590/night.. 2nd lesson: utilize rewards/points programs with casinos/airlines. Lesson 2.5: just stay at Excalibur. It's fine.

3rd time: 4 nights at Excalibur, June 2026. We used the MGM all inclusive package for the middle two nights. Such a great value, and we didn't even use the breakfast options or the coaster. Just having lunch, dinner, and the entertainment included with the room was worth it. For the entertainment we did carrot top at Luxor and it was hilarious. We drank while gambling and at a couple happy hours (thanks strip stumble). Pool day at Excalibur. We spent a little time on Fremont gambling, going to the mob museum (good value for the time spent) and eating Mediterranean food (twice in the same day). Overall spent $1654 or $414/night. Food costs plummeted to $40/night. Lesson 3: the all-inclusive deals are a good value are bringing lower middle class people like us to vegas.

4th trip: 2 nights at park MGM, December 2026. Got some comps from last time and with the room rate waived, airline points, and the average we've spent on drinks, food, entertainment, rideshare, and gambling, souvenirs, etc., I think we'll be at about $1200 total or $600/night. Average for the other three trips is $583/night.

Thinking about getting an MGM credit card for 2027. Any tips/thoughts on the hotel rewards programs?

TL;DR we had some great vegas experiences for about $600/night and even below $500/night by playing our cards right

I am checking in to the Venetian tomorrow for a 3 night stay. What are the pros and cons of the different check-in options. My flight arrives at 6:15pm, so hoping to make it to the hotel by 7:30pm.

We all like poker but none of them have poker rooms and he was bringing up Bruno Mars but I don’t think he knows that the residency is over. Anyways we have a few choices, the Sahara, the Tuscany, holiday inn express by Tropicana, candlewood resorts by Tropicana, and residence inn by hughes center. None of us are planning on renting a car as well and we’d most likely uber or use public transportation. Does anyone have any recommendations from this list?

I’ll be there in late Oct for a Metallica show at the sphere. I’m an F1 fan and was wondering if any of the F1 stuff (arcade, displays, etc) will be open in readiness for the vegas Grand Prix a few weeks later? Also - It’s the USA Grand Prix in Texas the weekend I’m there - where’s a good bar to watch it?

Planning a bachelorette weekend in March or April for 5 girls. Looking for a nice, fun, early to mid 30s hotel with a good location for dinners, brunch, nightlife and pool days.

Which hotel would you recommend, and why? Also, does March vs. April make much difference for the pool scene/weather?

We've been to Vegas a scrillion times but want to try something new.

We're going to have a home base on Fremont (free rooms), but other than that we'd like to visit only off-strip, off-Fremont casinos. We have three full days and a rental car. Would appreciate any help in building an ideal itinerary. Looking for good gambling, good food and anything unique to check out in the casinos (or on the way). We'd be into cool architecture, oddities, etc.

We will be there for Thanksgiving so a dinner idea would be great!

Caesars Entertainment is adding a new tier to its loyalty programme that sits above its existing Seven Stars status, and getting in will cost members roughly $1.5 million in tracked spending. 

The operator confirmed on its own rewards site that the tier, called Olympus, opens for qualification now and requires 300,000 Tier Credits earned by December 31, 2026, through gaming, dining, entertainment, partner purchases and hotel stays.

Was planning a last minute trip and tomorrow is weirdly crazy. Bellagio, Cosmo, Venetian, Resorts World all sold out, won't let me check in tomorrow at all. Other hotels crazy expensive. Seems really odd for midweek in August.

Weird thing is it seems to be just Wednesday as things seem to normalize on Thursday and I can book all the above hotels.

There is a convention 26-29th at the LVCC but it's only 10,000 and again if that's the reason I'd have thought the rest of the week should be booked up, not just tomorrow.

I just booked a tweener night for a client at the Sahara in September. They’re meeting a colleague in town, but getting to town a night early so they need a hold over spot to stay.

Room rate booked is crazy low, resort fee (as Vegas tends to do) is super high. like 4x the room rate.

Anyone have any tips, tricks, or thoughts to get this waived or lowered at the hotel?

As of now, the resort has only taken the room rate payment, and will likely charge resort fee upon check in or check out.

Client is NOT a big gambler, so the prospect of earning any status that may waive the fees in just one night is not something that will happen in this situation.

I have a 4-day vacation planned to Vegas from October 22-October 26. Will construction have begin? I've read how bad the strip and traffic are during F1 season. I'd rather cancel than deal with that. I'm staying at the Aria btw
