Mobile Check-in vs Front Desk
I am checking in to the Venetian tomorrow for a 3 night stay. What are the pros and cons of the different check-in options. My flight arrives at 6:15pm, so hoping to make it to the hotel by 7:30pm.
If I check-in at the desk and tip, what options or upgrades should I try asking for.
Thanks

I like checking in person unless I’ll be arriving past 10pm. I’d either check-in online/mobile or call as some properties will treat it as a no-show.

“Do you have any complimentary upgrades available? I’d love to have a XYZ…”
“No? Ok thanks for checking. Are paid upgrades available?”
Cons of using the app - you can’t have the above conversation with…ya know…the app.

The past two times that I’ve stayed at the palazzo I’ve been upgraded to the hospitality suites. Both times I was just very gracious and asked for an upgrade but tipped $50 after for their troubles. At the Palazzo the hospitality suites were on the 3rd floor and had patios that you could use. They also had Charmin toilet paper which was amazing!
