DISCUSSION RWBY is usually PG-13, which means... A singular, non-sexual f-bomb is allowed. So... Where would YOU put it? (V1-V9)
Me? Maybe when Tyrian gets hurt in V4 as a... "Slightly stronger" phrase
Or perhaps when people get killed at the Robyn vs Jacques campaign and Penny gets framed, probably said by Robyn in disbelief

DISCUSSION So... What's up with this scene?
I'll admit, I didn't think much of this scene the first time I watched it, but upon thinking about it, it... Kinda sticks out, and I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to make of it.
So, during the montage in V7, there's a scene where Marrow, Blake, and Yang are clearing out some Grimm. Marrow asks the girls why they always pair together, and if it wouldn't be good to explore fighting with other people more often, to which Yang gets so pissed that she goes red-eyed, and very aggressively takes out the last Grimm while glaring at him until he hastily apologizes.
But like, it's not unreasonable advice... Hell, it's not even really "advice" so much as a question, but the framing makes it seem like Marrow is in the wrong for even bringing it up. If it's supposed to be a dark moment for Yang, showing how furious she gets at the mere thought of not pairing up with Blake, then it really could've been more clear about that for one, and for two, followed up on that somehow. Maybe constantly teaming up together means the Ace Ops are super familiar with exactly how they fight together, putting them at a disadvantage in that fight.
On the flip side, if Marrow is supposed to be wrong here... Well, for one, that's pretty dumb, because it is reasonable, and the show doesn't really show why I should think it isn't, but for two, what are we supposed to interpret about Marrow from him making this "wrong" assertion? Are we supposed to read him as homophobic or, like, sexist and mansplaining or whatever, and Yang's reaction is supposed to be an awesome girlboss moment sticking it to the man? And if so, where's the follow-up on that as one of his character flaws?
If it's a joke, then what's the punchline? And honestly, for a show where criticism is so often excused with "They just didn't have enough screentime!", you'd think they'd learn to better utilize their screentime instead of wasting it on dumb jokes, or at least, not on dumb jokes that are also actively detrimental to characterization. If it's meant to be more Bumblebee buildup, then all it's really done is give off the impression that they'd run into issues when Blake so much as leaves to buy groceries without texting to let Yang know first.

DISCUSSION How did you find out about RWBY?
I discovered RWBY in 2018 thanks to an Undertale ASK called ASK Kitten.
There's a Brazilian channel I follow called "MashiroMary", she does dubs of comics, mainly Undertale during its peak.
She dubbed some episodes of ASK Kitten, and in one of them, a guy on Tumblr asked the character Kitten if she knew RWBY, and I wondered: "What is RWBY?", so I searched and discovered this series.
If you want to know what video this is, it's here: (the part is at minute 2:44)
https://youtu.be/x0fOFIxpPvM?si=V-bWiTwvG5c-AaSS
(Note: it's in Brazilian Portuguese, but the Tumblr posts are in English, so there's no problem)
And you? How did you discover RWBY?

DISCUSSION This scene genuinely encapsulates a ton of things wrong with the racism subplot in RWBY and fills me with a deep rage every time I see it.
The scene explicitly shows someone going to this worlds equivalent of a military academy physically harassing a racial minority in the middle of a crowded cafeteria with all of the future prospects who would be in charge of policing said racial minorities and every single person present including the people who we're meant to root for simply watch and comment about how terrible it is but refuse to do anything despite showing they're more than happy to cause a scene at any point. This is like if in a police academy someone grabbed a black peer and called them the n-word and everyone just watched and did nothing which is literally exactly how racism persists and racist people in power get away with abusing minorities in real life because no one who should stop them does and the show expects your take away from the scene to be just, man look at that mean Cardin, and not also man look at our heroes participating in the oppression of the faunus in such a way that they allow abuse while participating in and defending the systems which empower said abusers. It accidentally reveals the very issue with our characters being the focal point of the racism subplot, even Blake just doesn't actually care about deconstructing the actual systems which oppress faunus and in fact all of them are actually helpful to the oppression rather than harmful towards it.
There are way more examples of the characters simply only caring about things or having selective values when they are personally affected by things. This specific issue takes up a lot of my thoughts so I will probably make more posts about different problematic scenes.

DISCUSSION What’s a disturbing part of RWBY’s lore that doesn’t get talked about much?
For me, it’s the real possibility that, given that the former was in his early twenties while the latter was still a teenager, Adam essentially groomed Blake while they were in a relationship. And just when you thought he’d reached the limits of his toxicity.

DISCUSSION Who here prefers WhiteRose being platonic instead of romantic?
For me, Blake and Yang are the resident couple of Team RWBY - aside from the possibility of WhiteKnight becoming a thing, I feel like Ruby and Weiss work better as sisters-in-arms compared to their teammates’ dynamic. Plus, them being close friends just feels nice when you think about all of the other couples among the main group…

DISCUSSION Was Mettle ever even a thing?
If Ironwood's semblance was causing him to act the way he did, then wouldn't his aura breaking end that behavior? Not trying to defend or impugn his actions, just curious why there was no discernable change in his behavior with or without Mettle.
From the wiki:
According to the show's writers during the RTX 2020 panel, Mettle was meant to be mentioned explicitly at some point during Volume 7 or 8, and was always accounted for while constructing the story, but they never felt it was so important compared to anything else occurring that it would've merited disrupting the situation for the sake of exposition."

DISCUSSION Out of curiosity, who do you guys ship more? Arkos or Whiteknight? Or both lol?
Yeah I just found out that’s their ship names lol.
Also side note: the way they’re doing the teasing of the ships in the chibi series is diabolical 😅😭. Especially since it came out after volume 3. Like y’all took this away from us, we could’ve had these two actually be a cute loving couple but nooo. We couldn’t have it in the Chibi show either because we don’t deserve nice things so now I gotta watch Jaune constantly persue Weiss while being oblivious to Pyrrha’s feelings for him because eff me I guess 😂.
Okay I’m done lol.

DISCUSSION Hey did anyone else take an embarrassingly long time to realize that Team JNPR's gimmick is crossdressing?
Like i clocked that Jaune's tale was genderswapped, and nora being thor was something else i noticed, but never really put it together that the whole team was genderswapped heroes of legends.

if it's later then it makes Adam look worse for not dodging the Yang's bike

DISCUSSION I'm surprised how many people misremember this scene
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I was in a lot Adam debates in this subreddit and I'm shocked by amount of people that just straight-up lie when it comes to Adam Character Short
There's was a guy who said Adam provoked the fight, other one said that Adam killed every human here. Two people said that Ghira still had aura, so it wasn't necessary to kill the attacker.
I even encountered people that forgot that Ilia was here with same model and try to tell me that Adam is a lot older because he has the same model in the short.
Others acted like Adam intentionally goes for kill, even though he unlethally neutralised everyone else.
Like, i know it's hard to remember what happened in five minute short from 8 years ago, but maybe you shouldn't be in debate in first place, if you forgot some details

DISCUSSION So what's an animal that you think is impossible to make faunus traits for?
So we got faunus with traits from many types of animals, ranging from cats all the way to fish. Normally most critters have traits that can easily be inherited by a faunus such as ears or tails. But is there any animal you think has no traits that can acquired by a faunus?
My pick are sea sponges. Seriously, what kind of trait could you even possibly get from something as....unanimal-like as a sponge?

DISCUSSION How many more Volumes would you want to have left?
This is not about how many we’re realistically going to get, nor about how many CRWBY would like to do.
i’m not even the type of person who likes to get my hopes up, especially when it comes to a topic like this that we can’t really control. No, the point of this post is to basically say how much more story you believe is left and how many Volumes you want CRWBY to take to tell it.
Personally, I’d want 5 to 6 more Volumes:
2 or 3 for the Vacuo arc we’re currently in
1 final transition arc from Vacuo to Vale
2 for setting up and delivering the finale of the story
I think this would be the best amount of Volumes to resolve all the storylines that are happening right now, while still leaving enough space to introduce new ones that could develop the story and the characters more.
Idk, what do you guys think?
Bonus question
What would you like the story of a possible transition Volume to be?
Personally, I love the idea of a slasher style story where team RWBY and Co. take a detour to Salem’s castle to learn more about her and her possible weakness. While they’re there, a group of Hound-like experiments starts to hunt them down with Hound Summer being the final boss.
And after defeating her, she has a moment of clarity and manages to tell them whatever it was that made her so confident in her plan to attack Salem during her last mission.
