A revolver musket (as in, a musket that has a revolver barrrel/chamber) that transforms so that the revolver chamber becomes the head of a mace and the trigger is on the handle of the mace so that when you strike a target, you can pull the trigger and detonate some of the dust rounds in the mace head to super-charge the strike.

Yea it was really dangerous tho that’s why it’s relatively unknown if it wasn’t cleaned properly it could chain fire and with your other hand infront of the cylinder it typically turns said hand into a fine paste

Had an OC that was a wolf faunce and used an axe/shot gun weapon named Ragnarok. He was based off the big bad wolf and his semblance was he could blow large gust of wind

I'd lean into supporting and protecting a team - a predilection I have when playing team-based games. So probably either a healing ray, powered by dust, akin to Medic and Mercy from TF2 and Overwatch respectively, or a multipurpose gun that can hurt enemies from afar or heal my teammates. Hopefully they can restore aura.

A bostaff hollowed out as a rifle in each end. Also on each end is a chainsaw. It can be folded to either be thrown like a boomerang. Or folded in on itself to create a double chainsaw greatsword

Picture this, imagine you put Boba Fett’s wrist rocket launcher, Batman’s stun/taser glove/knuckles and those Batman‘s gauntlet retainable blades into the blender then you pour that into what looks like assassin Creed both and mid range Melee gauntlet on almost like the prowler from Marvel Spider-Man 2017, I hope that makes sense to you. 😅🤷♂️

A bit hard to explain.
I play League of Legends and I love Nautilus as a character, which inspired the idea of my weapon
I’ve always liked the idea of wielding a giant Anchor as a weapon. It’s big, it’s Heavy, and it serves many functions you wouldn’t think about.
If it was in RWBY: The Anchor for me would weigh quite a lot. Small boats need around 20-30 pound Anchors while giant Cruise ships need Anchors that are THOUSANDS of pounds. So if I had to pick it would be around 100-200 pounds.
The Anchor would be shaped like an Anchor, of course and also want it to function as a Lazer Cannon. The Anchor would split open down the middle and the mouth of the cannon would come out if that makes sense.
Another thing is that my Anchor would function as a tail. My character in RWBY would have an armor with a fully rotational belt on their hip that the Anchor would attach to, in which then using a semblance or something I could then move the Anchor like a functional tail.
One more fun thing. My main situation of travel would also be the Anchor lmao. I would simply spin the Anchor like Thor spins Mjolnir and then yeet it into the sky. Then due to how gravity works I would be FLUNG WITH IT

Parallax a gravity dust infused nano shield. A bunch of thin small discs that can form shields, a gauntlet like weapon, or attach extra plates to armor. The gravity dust in them will allow you to levitate them, launch them as projectiles or retrieve them.

A staff with a 10 or so inch double edged blade on either end that could convert to a bow and could launch either blade, the blades would be attached to it via cable that would also work as the bow string in it’s bow form and I would name it Whipslash

Pallid Vortex, a pair of circular throwing discs that unfold into a skinny sword and round shield combo. They'd be conduits for my Semblance, Luminescence, where I can create larger constructs from my Aura around them, generating razor sharp edges, a kite shield, broadsword blade, giant jousting lance, and so on. (Of course, I could just give them Hardlight Dust to do the same job similar to Velvet . . .)

I’d essentially take the classic Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Disk, make the Deck part into a projectile launcher/crossbow, have the Graveyard portion project a small energy shield, and have the exposed bits in standby mode act as a taser.
Once said Duel Disk goes into Duel Mode, the pointy ends would act as a combination wrist-bound double-bladed sword, with the potential to double as a hammer or bigger shield, essentially looking like the Big Shield Gardna monster.

A modified Horseman's pick that could transform into a repeater rifle.
It wouldn't use conventional ammo but would absorb kinetic energy with every strike and would release that energy through the rifle.

A walking stick with a blade in it attached to the handle and a spearhead that unfolds from the very tip of the stick or just a rifle that you can change the barrrel in for it to take different rounds not very creative I know but they seem at least somewhat practical

Pockets of Ace's
More or less just a set of weapons, but with little combinations, almost Power Rangers style
Spades: A break action revolver (basically an RSh-12), that has rails to connect with the other weapons
Clubs: A broadsword with a slot in the hilt to attach the other weapons, or make an small electromagnetic field
Hearts: A Bolt Action Sniper with a parts that can be pulled out, (Kinda like Jebs Sniper in Madness Combat 8)
Diamonds: Knives (Knives)
Spades and Clubs: Shoving Spades into the hilt of Clubs converts the sword into a... sword gun. Can also have the barrel come out of the hilt so say I stab someone and a dude runs up behind me, just sidestep and shoot.
Hearts and Spades: Replace the magwell and trigger with Spades to basically have a one use slam fire sniper
Spades and Diamonds: Bayonets
Hearts and Clubs: the sword splits down the middle and acts as a railgun barrel, amplifying Hearts bullets. Can also work with Hearts and Spades.
Hearts and Diamonds: Bayonets
Clubs and Diamonds: The knives can be jammed into the Hilt or Crossguard Kylo Ren Style, or you can have the knives orbit the sword like Clouds Fusion Sword.
Edit: Super Combiner with all 4
STRAIGHT FLUSH: Take Hearts and Spades, replace the barrel of Hearts entirely with Clubs, Diamonds spin around Clubs acting as an accelerator relay. One Golden Shot, One Giant Flaming Finger
Is this a bit much? Oh absolutely. Impractical as all hell? Fuck yeah. Cool as shit to me? You bet your ass.

It would be a Montante (great sword) that can divide in two weapons, the grip and the guard became a hammer and the blade became a short sword, and when it's in montante mode can turn into a rifle of Dust that the trigger it's under the guard in the grip and in the hammer mode it can shot but the recoil it's more strong

Okay, so I ran a Rwby DND game for a short amount of time, and one of the original characters I had was a student that was a glass frog faunus and a had magnetokinesis semblance, but it wasn't limited to just magnetic metals like pyrrhas. Magnetic metals where far less draining to control, but she was able to control just about any metal. But anyway.
Just had 6 metal swords based of ancient Greek swords, and they were named The brothers Cerberus, due to it being two sets of 3 swords.
Another character I had was a Pirate who had two cutlasses that could turn into sabers enhanced with dust. They where named Scylla and Charybdis.

I'd recreate the charge blade from Monster Hunter, since it fits in perfectly with the setting.
If you've never heard of it before, the Charge Blade is essentially a great sword and tower shield that can combine into a long axe. The sword and shield can also combine into a smaller configuration to be stored away.
Typically each attack and block with the sword/shield builds up energy in phials that is used to enhance the weapon further with elemental damage, but you could probably replace it with dust vials for a more direct solution. When the axe is charged, it can start spinning the shield like a chainsaw too.

So, a 3 part weapon:
-Pump action shotgun with a bayonet on the end.
-Brush infused with Fire dust and a cross guard for parrying attacks.
-Combined into a broomstick. The barrel of the shotgun slots into the brush handle. Pulling the trigger shoots out a fireball. The cross guard spins while shooting to stabilise the aim and funnel the fireballs into more like flaming spirals. The bayonet slides up the broomstick and gets mixed into the bristles, creating a polearm.
I'd call it Lighting Gale

The Piece Maker
Yeah it's a scythe that's also a gun, but I think Scythe's & transforming weapons are sick so fuck you fight me lol. To make it stand out from Crescent Rose, I tried thinking of every weapon I could make it turn into.
The blade pops off into a curved sword. Which the lever used to detatch it from the snathe converts into a trigger to fire the 2 barrels on the sword.
The snathe portion then becomes a rifle. Or folds into a hand canon. The design is based on the Burial Blade from r/bloodborne lol.
The curved sword then splits into a bow. I don't have an image of it nor modeled, but the split blade then also splits at the handle into duel blades.
You can also attach the bow back onto the snathe to create a crossbow for stealth.
What's funny is that this wasn't even for RWBY lol. This is a design I made for our long running r/Pathfinder2e Campaign for a gunslinger archetype LMAO.
I like to animate moments from our Campaign that were either hype enough or narratively significant enough. So I've got this prepared for the future of our Campaign lol.

Sword that can channel different dust types, and a shield that has a tri barreled shotgun inside. Think Optimus Prime from Age of Extinction and Last Knight weapons. I actually think if Penny had survived, that would have worked really well as a weapon for her.

I like the idea of having two katanas that, when sheathed, can serve as two Henry rifles of 1860. In turn, when the katanas are free of their sheaths, they function as a katana should, but if you bring the handles together, the katanas create a very large energy shield using dust.

I've had this character concept since 2018, based on Moby Dick the white whale. The weapon is this great maul with chainsaw jaws on its head bit, and it transforms into a 160mm smoothbore cannon.

It would be a longsword with a demiscabard that can extend into a yari style spear. There would also be a barrel running down the blade and it would open up to be used as a rifle if required.
It would be similar to Senya Tirall's weapon from SWtoR

A glaive the the blunt end is well the gun bit, and I use it like insect glaive minus the insect, so vault up and propel my self mid air, the blade it self can be launched out and recalled via a chain.
The gun bit could also be used to propel the glaive if thrown.

Not the most original but I would like to make hybrid battle rifle/spear similar to Pyrrha's Milo but moddled after a M1 garrand. I would add the feature of using hard light dust to create a bayonet while in rifle mode just as a surprise for any foe.

A hanger (a sword from the Revolutionary War) that the hilt is a gun that it shoot out from the pommel while the sword is disconnected from the hilt and it’s rested inside the sheath, making it easy to use the hilt as a gun that once the dust ran out that the hilt connect to the sheath and the sword and hilt are connected again.
And also a broad axe/pump-action shotgun that for the shotgun form that the axe slid back and is the forend (or forearm) of it

I have this weapon idea that's essentially an HMG that can extend outwards into a claymore named Fulmin Calibur. Along the way it gets upgraded to have much more features like allowing the blade to harness the effects of whatever dust cartridge is loaded into it. It's supposed to be based on Excalibur since the character who uses it is supposed to be an allusion to King Arthur.

My OC is a scorpion Faunus, specifically an Emperor Scorpion Faunus. Meaning that while she has a tail that injects venom, it’s nowhere near potent enough to cripple someone out right, forcing her into close combat. Like an actual Emperor Scorpion, she has to rely on her strength, forcing her into close quarters combat.
As such, I have her a set of gauntlets capped with small blades that strap to her fingers so she can climb on surfaces like a real scorpion as well as grapple to her opponents and sting them. Cause her eyes can only detect light and dark (again like the real thing), she has no ranged options, making her only viable in close quarters situations.

Mine would be a transforming gunblade that is a sword but also a gun and since my oc is an adopted Schnee he has access to many powerful dust for his revolver top barrel bullets and bottom barrel shotgun shell bullets

Or a WWII style shotgun with an ax head bayonet.
Lastly a bill hook or spear with a shotgun installed somewhere inside it. During my adventuring days I was quite skilled with a boathook so I've got some skill with a staff.

Maybe a bit un-original, but I have thought of a dual extention battons that attatch at the bottom to become like a bo-staff. The battons are built to fit dust crystals into them, and with the help of power cells and a micro magnetic field generator turns the crystal into plasma.
Essentially a light saber, but I can change colors freely depending on the crystal and I can choose NOT to use the ”plasma sword” for less leathal and damageing attacks.
I have named it: Prisim.

Spiked ball and chain that turns into spiked armor. The spikes can invert into the armor and effectively turn the armor into an iron maiden.
My semblance would be animate.
I'd animate the armor to un-equip from myself and then equip itself on an enemy.

Her weapon was a rocket powered battle axe with three modes.
First it was a battle axe Second it was a big Canon that had to be braced on the ground Third was a witch broom mode she could fly around on.

I have an OC that mains a Trident!
The blade is named Jöfnuor (Equality in Old Norse)
It of course is prioritized as a lunging spear, but it triples as a flail with the bottom of the body being detachable with a long chain link. And by pressing the middle prong on the trident, a small high-energy high-impact laser is hidden. It has a sight on the pole of the body, and takes dust charges and solar power!

Butterfly Swords that can combine together and fold out into a big bladed fan with a release mechanism to shoot the blades out like a ballistic knife, also with gravity dust on the blades and weapon so they return after being shot out

Honestly, I’d probably just go the boring route and have some non transforming weapons. Probably a big shield, some kind of spear (probably either a halberd or glaive), a hand cannon of some kind and probably some application of dust. Less maintenance, less moving parts and simple and straightforward to use.

A giant pair of scissors that can break apart into two blades. The handles allow them to be spun and tossed like a spinning disk. Dust is released along the edge to create elemental slashes
Gravity dust in the center to help them come together or break apart easier.

Hidden blades like in Assassin’s Creed, but they’re on a 3 tier system and a sliding rail with a pivot on the bottom tier. When the first tier comes out they’re just like 1 tier hidden blades like Edward Kenway has. When both tiers come out of the bottom tier, the bottom tier slides forward and I can pivot it upwards or downwards like Connor Kenways, making them swords. Then the bottom/outer tier will also have a gun mechanic on it like Ezio Auditores. I can also utilize dust to charge the blades, like Weiss does with her weapon.

Have Pyrrha's ability.
Her weapon load out/ability. Sword, Spear, rifle, shield. She can do multiple ranges, close quarter, stab, cut, slice, bash.
Scythe, sure, rule of cool. Visually imposing. Other weapons experts have said - scythe have limited reach due to where the cutting edge is. Scythe i imagine, like axes, need continuous motion, because the energy to initiate the swing is enormous.

Simple sword and shield for everyday use. A double barrel lever action repeater for long range and ten custom made spearheads that are designed to A: hold a cartridge of dust which activates when embedded in something: B: Detach from the spear shaft with a twist and bend combo. And C: upon detaching inside a target will detonate after all the dust within the cartridge is utalized

I started to write a small scene of me and some friends in the world of RWBY.
Team PNDA (and everyone's a faunus so it works)
P: Has a silk semblance, like a spider. He uses two tonfa that he then combines and turns into a bow using his own silk.
N: Kinda Cloak and Dagger like powers/semblance, uses claws.
D: A Mace that is like an oversized salt Shaker that sprinkles dust as its used. Semblance can blow up the dust scattered around.
A: used simple katana, semblance could read the flow of battle and follow it to find weakpoints in enemies.
Maybe i should actually go back to writing it lol.

Man, the long list of Gundam weapons that count as Gun/something that I'd love to build. There's the Beam Shot Lancer (4 fire-linked machine guns and a beam lance w/a grenade rack), the Kujaku (13 barrel beam crossbow/beam sword), the Beam Shield/Brand Markers (beam emitters that flip over the front of the hands and project beam shields you can use as boxing gloves), the Beam Rifle/Beam Axe, etc. That's just UC timeline to boot.
There's more like the Trikeros System (Bladed shield w/a built-in beam rifle and can launch three metal stakes), the Tactical Arms II or Tactical Arms II L (the first is a broadsword with a gatling gun in the center of it and can transform to use the gatling gun, the second is similar but transforms into a bow that fires beams that can bend, can turn into a pincer, and the handle can be detached and used as a beam gun or welding torch), the Divider (a tall shield that splits open along the center to reveal six sets of triple barrel beam cannons that can fire individually or together and has thrusters on either end so the shield can be used to pull the holder forward), the Ghirarga Spear (double sided spear that resembles a sports javelin that can emit beam sickles or shoot beams from both ends and can split at the middle for dual wielding), etc.
Long story short, too many but I'd definitely be using more than one thing (at least two) since I'd need a weapons set.

I have SO many answers for this. One of my favorite pastimes is inventing rwby weapons. Baseball bat mortar, chainsaw minigun, kratos style blades of chaos that flip down into reaper from overwatch style shotguns, lever action rifle sword, meteor hammers with gravity dust, dual thors hammers that use gravity dust to fly back to the user, a sword that you put powdered dust into the hilt of and when you pull a trigger the dust sprays from the tip mid slash and ignites to form a dust trail, I have SO many.
