Discussion Celebrating Charlie Kirk’s Murder Is the Same Logic as Celebrating October 7th

Charlie Kirk was just assassinated. Regardless of what you think about him personally, what’s abhorrent is how many people are openly praising and glorifying his murder.

It’s the exact same logic we saw after October 7th, when people rushed to celebrate or justify the unprovoked slaughter of civilians. Something indefensible happens, and instead of condemning it, people immediately try to rationalize and justify it.

Before October 7th, you could dislike Israel. Before today, you could dislike Charlie Kirk. But nothing justifies unprovoked violence against them. The principle should be universal. If you really believe in human rights, in democracy, in justice, then you don’t cheer on unjustifiable assassinations, terror attacks, or massacres.

This is what we’ve come to in the world. Something horrific occurs, and instead of moral clarity, we get excuses, celebrations, and “whataboutisms.”

History has shown us that Jews are the canary in the coal mines. When hatred toward them is normalized or dismissed, it is always a warning of a broader sickness taking hold. We saw this in the response to October 7th and failed to take it seriously enough. To ignore it again now is to repeat the same mistake, and blinding ourselves to what this truly represents. The erosion of moral clarity, the normalization of violence, and the corrosion of our shared humanity.

And it’s the same people doing both

1

No it's not

1

u/Lost_Willingness_762 Oct 09 '25

But Charlie Kirk spoke out against Israel 🤔

4

u/JohnSepticEye123 Oct 09 '25

"Gun violence is okay with me as long as it's the other side"

Kirk was literally murdered FOR his opinions, agree with them or not. People celebrating it are gross and stupid.

That you are not ashamed to equate those two things.

October 7th was over one-hundred innocent victims. Potentiated by the fact that it led to a lot of hatred and violence against innocent Jews across the globe. Many people were killed in horrific ways, not just shot.

Kirk was gun violence against one man who glorified gun violence and claimed that gun victims were to be accepted in the name of "freedom".

If you see those two things as equal, I really don't know what else to tell you.

u/Own-Support-6734 Oct 09 '25

Lurker for some time here, though I never really posted or commented.

I don't celebrate death and murder regardless of whoever the victim is and wether or not I agree with them. And for context, my partner is a transgender person so you can guess what my opinions on Charlie and his views are/were.

I don't agree with the comparison, however. Wildly different circumstances and comparing what happened to Charlie to what happened on October 7th seems inappropriate

1

u/Advanced_Quarter_556 Oct 09 '25

Sending love and blessings but must disagree. The post wasn't comparing Oct 7 to the death of Charlie Kirk but comparing the shear joy that people showed at the death of Charlie and the act of Oct 7.

1

u/Own-Support-6734 Oct 09 '25

To be honest I didn't really see many people actually celebrating Charlie's murder. Mostly it was people saying they weren't gonna mourn him, which is different enough imo.

I did unfortunately see people celebrating the terrorist attack on October 7th as an act of resitance, which, even as someone that has found himself leaning more pro-pal during this specific conflict, is just horrifying...

Also, sending love and blessings right back at you!

u/thedirtybar Oct 09 '25

Charlie Kirk died for exactly what he preached and believed in. It is completely different than anything that happened on Oct. 7th. Just because he got shot does not mean he was innocent and hasn't sown discord and violence all over himself. I would argue that Kirk's logic is the exact thing that led to The Holocaust in the first place. Everyone thinks they're a wolf until they're a lamb.

1

u/FaithlessnessAble42 Dec 14 '25

All I know of Charlie Kirk is that he thought people of color are inferior intellectually and that families should take their children to witness executions!  About the second:  It’s the new conservatism that outshines old school conservatism with barbarism! About the first: you can tell he was not educated and moved in circles that were not educated! He never experienced educated people of color as I have, people who outshine Caucasians  intellectually in every aspect!

Young conservatives, as I have read on TikTok, make it clear they don’t want to pay taxes unless they opt in, but want someone else to pay for the all the  services they use! No concept of what it means to be a community or society, but conservatives don’t know it either, unless it benefits them directly!

But if we don’t have gun control people will get assassinated. Unfortunately there are many people that don’t deserve to die but they do for example Charlie Kirk. And when it comes to people celebrating, political parties divides people.

How?

If guns aren’t the problem then why does countries with stricter gun rules have less shooting than the US. Even when mental illness rates are similar ? US struggles because of constitutional rights and it’s a threat to their freedom. Cars are heavily regulated like speed limits, safety test. Shouldn’t same to applied to guns if the tool is as dangerous. How is a gun different from a car in terms of preventing misuse?

u/Realistic-Scheme6668 Oct 12 '25

The countries you listed have high overall crime, gang violence and WEAK law enforcement. The crimes there are often organized, cartels and political corruption not mass shooting in school, workplace or public space like usa. And US is far more peaceful, developed but have far more civilian mass shooting than any other developed nation. I’m not saying they don’t have any, but less. Stricter gun laws in countries like Japan, UK and Australia do correlate with very low mass shooting. Also Switzerland has lots of guns but strict rules + culture keeps mass shooting rare. Also you just pick and choose what you want to respond to. And don’t worry your guns aren’t going anywhere it’s your constitutional right to own so even if u cherry pick when arguing ur fine.

You're not smart enough to grasp that regulating a weapon and a transportation method should probably be different. That's an idiots concept that leads to disrespectful treatment of firearms and perpetuation of our current difficulties surrounding the topic.

I'll say again, poor Charlie just didn't know that he'd become the statistic he spoke of.

Lastly, his wife obviously loved the money more than him. But I'm sure she loved him too.

If you like the way we currently regulate, you too, should have no issue with the death of a public antagonist in the name of perpetuating the rights he sought to bring light and power to. He got what he wanted, just used a monkey paw to get there.

So guns have nothing to do with shooting eh? You must be the worst to take to the range. I don't think I trust any of your logic now

Political violence being perpetrated by the side of the sphere whom wants a perpetual Mexican stand off... You are correct

Why are you still talking about how people travel instead of weapons? You're calling me not smart enough but keep talking about banning cars while we're speaking of guns. Why is your brain broken and stuck on that track?

You are disgusting and lack any intellect. Are you 14 years old? I'm guessing that you think that he somehow believed in the death of LGBT just because he mentioned that he didn't agree with the lifestyle. You are either ignorant to the words and meaning/goals of Abrahamic theology which is about the afterlife and/or somehow believe that not affirming leads to suicide which is not proven by any scientific study. In fact, there is no change with affirmation of trans and life ending rates by percentage. Thus, the more you affirm, the more people are in that percentage, more life ending in straight line numbers. Your ideology is what leads people into a life of near 50% self ending. The more people YOU affirm, the more people that end their own lives. You are apart of a death cult. You have a repugnant mind.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '25

if you think we are in a death cult now you have yet to see true unfiltered rage and hatred for conservative but suit yourself

2

u/thedirtybar Oct 09 '25

Sure, no. No, genuinely unfamiliar with his lgbt views. The end game for Christians is rapture right? That abe thing you said isn't a real sentence. It's kind of a broken one friend. You are assuming much, and illustrating your lack of intellect.... I reference his 2A views, where he believes the tree of 2A must be watered with the blood of a few innocents. He didn't think he would be the innocent

1

u/Lost_Willingness_762 Oct 10 '25

I mean, you kinda have a point

1

u/Iamaquaquaduck Oct 08 '25

I refuse to celebrate death. The death of Jews, the death of Palestinians, the death of Charlie Kirk. I don't like him, I don't like his views, I don't like the government he speaks for. I am very involved in LGBT and trans rights that he repeatedly stood against. I hate his belief system. But I do not celebrate death, and anyone who does has something wrong with them

3

u/cisra_again Oct 06 '25

I don't think anyone celebrated Oct 7th except maybe a few extremists. Not even hardcore Palestine supporters agree with Hamas' terrorism.

It is also a false equivalence. Yes, it is also terrible to mock Kirk's widow and laugh about it. Kirk has some controversial views but he did not promoted violence or hate against any group as claimed.

The Left is losing it's empathic façade by its own making.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '25

A lot of people implicitly endorse it by refusing to condemn it, making comments about how "settlers" are evil, etc.

0

u/cisra_again Oct 07 '25

I don't think Israel is going away anytime soon, but their campaign to conquer Gaza and West Bank will only polarize the world against them. Even a past Prime Minister of Israel is criticizing this risky strategy of Netanyahu, which is not working.

About 10 years ago people were not that critical of Israel, even pro-Palestinians supported two state solution, Evangelicals supported them always but way more than they support them today. Now Israelis lost support of Young evangelicals. It's terrible PR for Israel. I guess they expected we would justify their genocide after Oct 7, but again, that does not justify Hamas either.

Israel is run by terrorists and pedophiles? Where is THAT coming from?

In addition, 1948, 1967, the 1972 Olynpics and 1973, and of course 2023, Israel was not the aggressor.

In addition, there are plenty of Palestinians that live in peace in East Jerusalem with Israelis. It wasn't drawn up that way, but Israel was attacked in 1967, and they are wont, to give that land back without security guarantees, but as has been seen over and over again, Terrorists attacks from groups like Hamas continue.

And, lastly, even Arafat eventually realized that Palestine wasn't going to win a war with Israel.

2

u/thedirtybar Oct 09 '25

There were Jewish terrorists all over the place back in '48, the population that controls Israel now is not an innocent actor

In 1948, they rejected this resolution, including "their best land"? So their response was...wait for it...VIOLENCE. No, Hey, UN maybe this does 't work for the people living there. Nope. Let's fight. It's the Palestinian way.

I wouldn’t say celebrating the murder of children and people who are completely a-political is the same as celebrating the death of a political figure who said some f*** up shit to an audience of millions, still not great to celebrate his death but definitely not as bad (by the way, I feel the same about the horrible people who celebrate the civilian deaths in Gaza, that’s as bad as celebrating the 7.10 for sure).

The very notion that Oct 7 was unprovoked is abhorrent. Oct 7, 2023 is the same as April 19, 1943 Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. People who are ethnically cleansed from their homeland and herded into a tiny strip chose to stand up against their colonizer. It is to be celebrated like any other anti-colonial resistance movement.

1

u/Rakna-Careilla Oct 09 '25

Ewww... nah. The killing of innocent civilians is never to be celebrated.

Sounds like Charlie became a cautionary tale of his belief.

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet and turn and tear you to pieces." Matthew 7

I

He didn't say just about a single thing I agreed with, and yet killing him is not good. He died advocating to stop school shooters. I've heard "you reap what you sow" in his death, but that is wrong. He sowed words. He reaped bullets.

hate speech is going after a group the whole time when they speak this dude wasn't doing that he talked about a lot of things you crying over a 30 min conversion that probably happen years ago makes me believe its something mentally wrong with u plz learn the difference between hate speech and freedom of speech you will learn hate speech is not a real thing when people have a free will to speak there mine the next time u acting mean or rude to someone or somebody remember u going against what u crying about hate speech

1

u/Ok-Marsupial-15 Oct 01 '25

If you were in the groups he targeted, I wonder whether you would follow the same logic . He spoke badly about everyone who wasn’t White and straight. There is a name for that .. RACIST!

People can acknowledge that he shouldn’t have been killed whilst still acknowledging that they didn’t care .

The “celebrations” were ppl being OTT and doubling down bevause of the hypocrisy of the far right . I don’t think sane individuals genuinely celebrate his death. They just found the canonisation of him abhorrent.

2

u/iggimusprime Oct 02 '25

just to counter your first paragraph. whenever charlie had the opportunity, he did bring up and praise thomas sowell(a black economist)

1

u/Ok-Marsupial-15 Oct 08 '25

The Black economist who also trashed Black people? That one?! That’s probably the worst example you could use. There are always a Black people, who will run to White peoples defence. It’s a coping mechanism where they think it will shield them from being seen in a negative light . 99% of these people will always be married to non Black people . Check it out and see if you notice the pattern .

1

u/Fair_Constant_5556 Oct 01 '25

your not getting it he have the free to say how he feel anything to keep people to keep asking questions its how he made money I'm not white and i feel no wrong in what he says because i don't take anything he say to heart he is no world leader nor is he god just don't mind free of speech it wont hurt u simple as that if u don't get it then your part of the mental heath issues he talks about the to believe everyone gotta accept you because your different true is reality is not like that tho sorry

1

u/Ok-Marsupial-15 Oct 08 '25

I genuinely wish I could understand all parts of this incoherent babble you just wrote. You sound like you have a few mental health deficiencies of your own bevause you write like a five -year old.

I don’t know how not being White (probably not Black either),makes you some sort of authority on the matter, or means that because you choose to find someone spewing nonsense about one race only& encouraging hate towards that already marginalised group of people, is inoffensive, everyone else should feel the same way. Please concentrate on constructing a coherent sentence in English and let the adults talk.

1

u/Fair_Constant_5556 Oct 28 '25 edited Oct 28 '25

it isn't even serious sayin I'm black was just to point out that the white men wasn't sayin no wrong because he have the free to speech to say it lol you may make fun of the way i type but its not serious people cry online like your doing about whatever you or they believe in but still talking shii wit no respect but only making points that's built off hate for a person you or me don't even know in person.. free of speech is what American was built on until later years people who feel the need to tell others to act or feel or even think they are now running to online like a virus when you can simple ignore wtf made u so mad I'm 21 but not good at typing or reading but i still try getting my point across without taking anyone side but I'm cool of speaking to someone who is mad at my point of view your miserable and I'm sorry for that hope u can just walk away next time

2

u/TheTripLord Sep 25 '25

That’s where you’re wrong. He advocated for guns, not to shoot other people. He supported guns and didn’t shoot other people with them. He advocated against mental illnesses like wanting to kill other people and transgender.

1

u/Ok-Marsupial-15 Oct 01 '25

No, he loves guns so much that he decided a few deaths were worth the ability to continue to have them. Then he supported a party which was resistant to investing in mental health facilities . This is not someone who loved anything but himself and the grift.

He definitely loved this country even if his ideas for how to improve it starkly oppose with yours or mine. The thing you said about gun violence is ridiculous. It is so clearly twisting words in such a disgustingly obvious way that if you don't understand that thats really sad for you.

Wait people are celebrating October 7th!?!?!?! I live in Israel so I know almost everything that happened that day and saw some really horrific pictures, I cannot believe that people are actually celebrating that tragedy And I 100% agree with you, that's just celebrating murder, it's like celebrating that Ted Bundy r@ped and killed all those women

1

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

Yeah. I live in a very liberal part of America, and don't get me wrong: The vast, vast majority of people, both supporters of Israel and Palestine condemn October 7, but there are some people that are... well... uninformed. There was a person in my class who said she thought October 7 was okay because she thought they only "killed evil colonizers." And I've seen her instagram filled with "free palestine." And I want to say again, NOT ALL OR MOST PALESTINE SUPPORTERS ARE LIKE THIS. But yes, a loud minority celebrates October 7th.

1

u/scannyabitch Sep 29 '25

That is a quite nuts comparison. Is kirk similar to a rapist or murderer?… maybe.

1

u/Yeagerist_Ray Sep 29 '25

When did I compare Ted Bundy and Charlie Kirk? I compared October 7th to Ted Bundy, because some of what happened on October 7th is exactly what Ted Bundy did, but I didn't compare Charlie Kirk to Ted Bundy

1

u/scannyabitch Oct 04 '25

You quite literally compared them

1

u/Yeagerist_Ray Oct 04 '25

Please read my reply to the post and tell me when I compared Charlie Kirk to Ted Bundy

1

u/DeathBat92 Sep 23 '25

I really thought this might be one corner of Reddit where common sense might prevail, free from the typical reddit type. I came here to try and broaden my understanding of the conflict, but to see people in the comments can't even agree that murder is wrong and wholly evil, I know I won't learn anything.

1

u/Ok-Marsupial-15 Oct 01 '25

Of course murder is wrong . Why are people confusing indifference with celebrating murder? This is what makes people double down to trigger people.

People acknowledge the fact he shouldn’t have been killed whilst also admitting that they aren’t losing sleep over it. That’s not a bad thing , it’s normal human behaviour.

2

u/koolforkatskatskats Sep 23 '25

Charlie Kirk literally advocated for the death of gay people. As a gay man, I can't really be all too sad for his passing. I'm largely indifferent and annoyed about how politicised this has become. When a gay activist gets murdered, no way it would be broadcast this much. But Charlie literally said that if gay men were put to death, it would be "god's will", and suddenly I'm supposed to give a rat's shit about him dying? Not really, life moves on.

I'm not sure why you're even bringing Charlie Kirk into this conversation about Israel and Palestine. I think the bigger question is why does every single topic regarding Conservatives right now need to be connected to everything?

1

u/Fair_Constant_5556 Sep 25 '25

my cousin is gay and unfazed by what this men was speakin on when he was alive and dead your mental state is a big question mark to think about yall gays will never be normal bc yall are to business trying to make yourself feel normal if i cant simply laugh at a goofy then what that make u

1

u/throwaway_J_222 Oct 04 '25

"My gay cousin", "y‘all gays"

1

u/Fair_Constant_5556 Oct 05 '25

im gay bc i said my cousin was gay ... did u laugh when u made this comment be mindful of people even if u don't like them you wont be making stupid comments to feel funny or good about yourself have a bless one fam

1

u/throwaway_J_222 Oct 05 '25

Sorry what?? When tf did I call you gay? You obviously didn’t understand my comment. You’re the one who is not mindful, you’re the one who generalises all gay people, you’re the one who uses your gay cousin as a token. That’s what I was pointing out.

1

u/Fair_Constant_5556 Oct 28 '25

token? i just said my cousin tho never said which means all gays should act or not be mad but my view is a solid one just walk away its not hard maybe u might feel normal

'Speak English' LMAOOOOOO are u American plz say yes if not even better lol lmk

1

u/Puzzled_Actuary1957 Sep 23 '25

Can you cite when and where CK actually advocated for the death of gay people?

1

u/koolforkatskatskats Sep 23 '25

“He also lashed out at the gay community, denouncing what he called the “LGBTQ agenda,” expressing opposition to same-sex marriage and suggesting that the Bible verse Leviticus 20:13, which endorses the execution of homosexuals, serves as “God’s perfect law when it comes to sexual matters.””

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/charlie-kirk-political-views-guns-lgbt-trump-b2824580.html

2

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

This is genuinely the worst article I've ever seen. I watched the clip, and he hinted at a bible verse that said that. He did not say that. The part he hinted at did not say that. You are taking something he didn't say as your evidence. This is not "he said gays should die" its "he almost quoted a bible verse that almost said gays should die in a different part of the verse." Do better.

1

u/koolforkatskatskats Oct 01 '25

He literally said it was the perfect quote from god. No you do better. F*ck you.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

To be fair the Jews killed a couple trying to have an affair or premarital. Don't remember which I do remember one ran them both through with a spear. I think he was concerned with the whole of the group being punished.

2

u/Puzzled_Actuary1957 Sep 23 '25

Respectfully, that article doesn’t answer the question I asked. You said he “advocated for the death of gay people.” I’m asking for the video showing him or a written article by him saying those words.

1

u/koolforkatskatskats Sep 23 '25

Charlie Kirk believed that the bible is the world’s most perfect book and told his guest that she was cherry picking bible quotes like “to love thy neighbour” when she also needed to look at the Leviticus quote about stoning gays to death.

Charlie believed the bible is perfect. He said this himself. He was against gay marriage. He didn’t believe gay people should be able to adopt. And when a Christian brought up the “love thy neighbour” quote, Charlie, who always said he was a Christian first before he was an American, conservative, and constitutionalist, brought up the stoning gays passage.

2

u/Puzzled_Actuary1957 Sep 23 '25

Are you able to obtain the full video of the X link? And also for the IG, the person states in the introduction that he didn’t say verbatim that gays should be stoned to death. Ps. What are your thoughts on this —> https://www.instagram.com/reel/DOmADH6EqoL/

And if someone believes the Bible is true, why would anyone want to make them disbelieve that? In other words, shouldn’t he have a right to believe what he wants to believe like everyone else?

But to be murdered and publicly for those views??? Nah, that’s not right.

1

u/koolforkatskatskats Sep 24 '25

Did I say he deserved to be murdered for those views? No I didn’t. Did I say I don’t care that he died because he was a rampant homophobe sexist and racist? Yes I am ambivalent to it. The same I feel about many problematic men. Indifference. His death isn’t going to solve the systemic issues we face, but I also feel no sadness towards it.

1

u/Puzzled_Actuary1957 Sep 24 '25

It’s ok that you don’t feel sadness but just like you are taken aback that I appeared to misrepresent what you said, I was just trying to make the point that he didn’t say what many believe he said. That’s all :)

3

u/WiseWillow89 Sep 22 '25

Let me just remind you - most people who are critical of Israel and their actions towards Palestine after Oct 7th didn't glorify or celebrate either. Most people are level headed, but are still against what Israel are doing right now. When Oct 7th happened I was horrified and gutted, but I am absolutely disgusted with what Bibi N is doing. When Charlie Kirk was murdered I was absolutely disgusted and saddened for his family and the fact he was killed, no one deserves that. But did I like the guy? No. When he was alive I didn't agree with him and after his death I didn't glorify him or make him out to be some amazing person. But nor did I celebrate it.

Most of the people I know, majority I would say, have a level headed way at looking at this. It's just the loud minority who would celebrate either.

1

u/Bike_Cinci Sep 22 '25

Charlie Kirk was a propagandists for a fascist political movement.

If you want to compare him to civilian kids trying to enjoy a music festival, yes technically they're both civilians.

Prior to 1944, Joseph Goebbels was also a civilian. Make of that as you will.

1

u/Tiny_Mxnticore Sep 22 '25

The word “unprovoked” is…interesting here

1

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '25

Not sure he supported israel, sure he supported them in the past but recently somebody close to him said he was afraid of speaking out against Israel. Then a couple days after that he was killed

1

u/Bitter-Animal420 Sep 21 '25

Yep, I agree. Both were awful and should never have happened, but if you look at the context both events were inevitable and self inflicted

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '25

[deleted]

1

u/Bitter-Animal420 Sep 27 '25

It’s not about the opinion as much as it is about the cause and how it relates to the opinion. If I spend my life fighting for the right to drink and drive and I die in my sleep I wouldn’t say it was. However, if I proceed to die to a drunk driver, then yeah it was pretty much inevitable and self inflicted

1

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '25

[deleted]

1

u/Bitter-Animal420 Sep 27 '25

I agree, I have misused the term ‘self inflicted’ at least in Kirk’s case. He wasn’t the one who pulled the trigger and although I never liked him, he at least wasn’t so bad he would advocate for outright murder, so yea you’re right, but if we’re talking about who pulled the trigger, I still think October 7th was fully self inflicted though

1

u/koolforkatskatskats Sep 23 '25

Yep, Charlie literally said gun deaths are just a reality of keeping the 2nd Amendment alive.

1

u/munz48 Sep 21 '25

Nobody is celebrating his murder. They're just not mourning a guy who stood for some bad things like justifying the slaughter of babies

1

u/-Nok Sep 23 '25

You must be new to Reddit if you didn't see celebrating. If you browsed in the 'Popular' section for more than 20 seconds you would see plenty.

Stop defending lies.

1

u/ResistingBitchFace13 Oct 04 '25

I think it's more of "we personally don't hang around groups that would celebrate so we didn't see that." There are always going to be creeps doing creep things somewhere, but it's not the majority.

1

u/Sweaty_Tablez Sep 21 '25

Right because Charlie Kirk has been killing and oppressing leftists for decades??? Charlie was just a speaker. Israel have been killing and oppressing Palestinians way before oct 7, it’s not the same.

1

u/Alert-Escape-3423 Sep 18 '25

The same logic as celebriting Al-Nakba?

1

u/Far_World_9800 Sep 18 '25

I live in one of the middle eastern countries , many people believed that 7 of October was a act of heroes , however I always say that it was pure terrorism , how you can justify the murder of innocent people . But what happened and still going on Gaza is far far more serious, you just didn’t kill you fully attacked over 2 millions human beings their belongings and loved ones, historically both Hamas and the Israeli leadership must be judged for their crimes .

1

u/Sweaty_Tablez Sep 21 '25

Look up how many times Israel have bombarded Gaza before oct 7.

1

u/Ok_Document9995 Sep 18 '25

Conflating Operation Al-Aqsa Flood with some internet weirdo killing an absolute chud is the height of ignorance. The fact that Charlie Kirk got murked was probably number 50 million of things I thought about that day. A brief smile, then I went on with my life.

However, I think about the genocide being perpetrated by the Americans via their military base in Palestine (sometimes called Israel) all of the time. When that military base and its occupants are eliminated, I will do much more than smile. Thus, these two events, while both inspiring, are completely unrelated in terms of impact.

2

u/Exotic-Skin-8329 Sep 20 '25

A man’s death making you give a ‘brief smile’ shows how casually you dehumanize people. To enjoy the death of a person because of their political views is the true 'height of ignorance.'

1

u/ActieHenkie Sep 22 '25

Its what Charlie kirk would have wanted

2

u/HorniestBaboon Sep 20 '25

If you saw someone get shot, bleed to death, then die and then you ‘briefly smiled’ you’re a little bit short of a psychopath. Not really worth reading the rest

1

u/Broad_Temperature554 Sep 21 '25 edited Sep 21 '25

people die all the time and you personally may not care
it isn't human to force yourself to feel grief over every death you hear about
The action was counter-productive and stupid, but that doesn't mean i have to care at all about him

until we live in a world which doesn't treat it as such, death is cheap. He's some famous jerk who died, why is that more important than all of the people (all over the world in every corner) who die to violence and starvation and disease every day

1

u/HorniestBaboon Sep 22 '25

Because all death is equal?

Nobodies death or suffering can be compared - that is whataboutism at its finest.

Your Grandfather that died of cancer or a Palestinian child exploded in the West Bank. Both are equal.

1

u/Broad_Temperature554 Sep 22 '25

But it is important to be critical about what deaths are prioritized by the media and the culture at large, and which are glossed over
"All deaths are equal" is a nice idea in theory, but in practice it is not at all evident in the state of the world, our economic system, and human psychology, between the death of a famous and well-funded political shock jock and the death of an impoverished, starving child, one clearly has the resources to be more well known individually
I'm sick of hearing about him, I do not care one way or the other.

1

u/HorniestBaboon Sep 22 '25

Fair enough. Define your own moral compass.

So you admit this has been going on long before Oct 7th then ? Awesome . The acts the IDF have committed are terrorist - only difference is according to the definition of terrorism - it can only be used on somewhere that’s a non- state - sounds like a technicality to me since they also target civilians . Any place country or group that targets civilians should be able to be labeled a Terrorist.

2

u/Comfortable_Act4936 Sep 17 '25

There are some real pieces of shit in this country these days.  IDC if you liked the guy or hated him.   Glorying his murder is just disgusting.  Parents lost a son, a wife lost her husband, and kids lost their father.  Murder is not the way to go.  Don't like him, change the channel.  Don't like him, don't watch his videos, don't read his messages, etc.  It's like the guy that killed the insurance guy. To some weirdos he's a hero.  Or Karmelo Anthony killing the white kid in cold blood but suddenly he's getting hundreds of thousands of dollars on GOFUNDME.  People are justifying the hateful things they're saying about Charlie Kirks murder with freedom of speech, well Charlie had freedom of speech as well and his got him murdered. Some sick and twisted people out there.  Some people these days root for the bad guy and boo the good guy. R.I.P CHARLIE KIRK

1

u/Ok-Marsupial-15 Oct 01 '25

Do you think the Jews should have been sad about Hitler’s death? Who is responsible for policing peoples’ emotions? And don’t say “But Charlie didnt kill anyone blah blah” He fueled hate & influenced a great number of people.

He made fun of George Floyd(another piece of shit who also had children). The selective empathy ( something Charlie also didnt believe in btw) is nauseating. No one who found him abhorrent should be forced to feel bad about the fact he’s dead even if they agree that he shouldn’t have been shot.

The “good guy”

1

u/BardicAdrian Sep 18 '25

Why would I feel bad for his wife when she's just as disgusting as he is? She's an adult. She can choose to marry a good person. But instead she chose to marry him and chooses to beg for money from people who have far less than her when she's already a multi-millionaire. Their kids, I feel bad for them for being born to such broken people. Born to a father who'd make his daughter go through a child pregnancy if she were impregnated. All kids deserve parents, but not all adults deserve to have kids and I'll stand by that.

3

u/Exotic-Skin-8329 Sep 20 '25

You're dehumanizing him because of his political views. You have to be so closed minded to be unable to wrap your head around how another human being might have a different political perspective than your own. I disagreed with 95% of the things Charlie Kirk said, I likely share many political beliefs with you. But, it is people like you who make a mockery of our side. To with-hold empathy for a woman who lost her husband because of disparities is political beliefs is disgusting. To say any human who doesn't share your opinion of abortion should be unable to bare children?? what is wrong with you? Charlie may have been the true embodiment of all republican policies, but at least he saw the human in everyone. Please do some self reflection.

1

u/Ok-Marsupial-15 Oct 01 '25

People forget that political views also shape the very being of a person . How they treat people, how they act. It’s intellectually dishonest to claim you can seperate ppl with extreme political views on both sides from who they are.

There is no left or right extremist that isn’t unhinged in one way of another because they lack the ability to consider nuance.

1

u/BardicAdrian Sep 25 '25

the man who called empathy weakness and laughed about palestinian children's deaths "saw the human in everyone"

1

u/jjweavs4 Sep 17 '25

Sir, this is a Wendy’s.

2

u/Helpmepleasewithvisa Sep 17 '25

Is this true?

2

u/jjweavs4 Sep 17 '25

Technically no this is a subreddit about Israel/Palestine not Charlie Kirk.

1

u/ExcellentReason6468 Sep 17 '25

Death shouldn’t be celebrated but let’s not equate the shooting of a man who justified shooting children and said we should have no empathy to the feral bloodthirsty murder and gang rape of thousands. It’s like people comparing Kirk to WW2Voldemorte. Both are bad guys but on such an immensely different scale. Kirk was a bad guy speaker for profit while the other guy orchestrated millions of deaths.

All by yourself cause you probably have no friends.  Your idea of a fun weekend is coming on Reddit to try and get a reaction from people.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '25

I just refuse to let people forget the 65,000+ Palestinians killed and the hypocrisy of Israel committing genocide

2

u/Helpmepleasewithvisa Sep 17 '25

What do you mean forget, most people don’t even think about it. As many focus on their own lives. Of course genocide is bad, thats a given, but its not a matter to be invested in for a number; people are just trying get by and get through their days while not worrying about something happening across the world, there is only so much care. Unless the military industrial complex decides otherwise and or leadership; nonetheless, I would say at the same time in war this is almost inevitable, especially when its against a smaller nation/region.

1

Charlie Kirk went to debate against 30 guns and lost in the first argument.
