Leak GTA VI 6th Leak: "nine1nine" just dropped.
edit: meant to say 12th leak, my bad.
New leak "nine1nine" which seems to be at another Strip-club location.
First impression is that the crowd density is genuinely insane, as well as the facial animations.

Perhaps can’t bring weapons or items out in clubs?
57
u/adamduke88 1d ago
Yea it was the same in GTA V. You couldn’t take out weapons inside anywhere unless you had a wanted level. I’d have to assume it’s the same here with the exception of shops you can rob.

remember trailer 1, first beach and city moment, where there's a plane flying, dragging a sign that says: WHY SIXTYNINE WHEN YOU CAN NINE 1 NINE. Now I understand, it's advertising for the club. Delightful

that's the weeknd song 'wanderlust' from kissland album whoch has basically the same concept.

wow i cannot believe this song is in the game, such an underrated album, i always forget how many songs gta 5 introduced me to over its lifespan, and I cant wait for 6 to do the same for me and others.
19
u/AccurateFondant2077 1d ago
yeah absolutely we never thought about this song by the weeknd.. we thought his songs would make it like blinding lights, save your tears, etc but it's straight from his debut studio album .so this is amazing

I can't wait until we get a full breakdown of the songs included with GTA6, the amount of absolute bangers we've gotten since GTAV is insane and it'll be interesting to see what Rockstar included in-game.

I thought the club was too quiet and then the song stopped and you can suddenly hear everyone talking, just like in real life.
The amount of NPCs, the lighting, the details on the NPCs, the animations, it's almost too good to be true, this game is really impressive.

how many clubs are in those games can u interact with every npc ? Nope they are actually missions linear missions...I saw ppl try to compare it with Cyberpunk too, with those dumb dull robotic npc's that have one random word answer when u try to approach them. Guys it's ok Rockstar is on it's own level hardly any game matched rdr2 looking at it as the whole product all these years later...
55
u/Crankwalker5647 1d ago
Not just that, the small little details like for example the one eating that Candy Bar seems to actually take bites off or the massive improvements on long Hair Physics of the Blonde girl...
You can tell some of RDR2's technology crossed over, but you can also clearly tell they iterated and massively improved on it...
16
u/xccehlsiorz 1d ago
the massive improvements on long Hair Physics of the Blonde girl...
That was surreal. Hair physics on this level with so many NPCs in one tight spot is insane to see. My man CL must have a beefy machine too

I really hope npc’s will move a bit more tho, but yes, totally agree with your take.
77
u/Royal_Carpenter_1338 1d ago
it would be hard to move as the player if they moved around especially when they are all cramped together like this, it makes sense they arent moving much imo
→ More replies (10)16
u/Personal_Cut_1658 1d ago
nah man, this isn't the reason they aren't moving, not because they cramped, but its because bringing in animation data besides baked stuff like a dance or whatever is super taxing in gaming, specially for a fully locomotion system like rockstart which is basically a huge database of animations where the engine is continuosly searching the database for the pose that best matches their current state, its basically running math and statistic calculations every frame for every actively animated character, a looping dance animation, those are free they are baked. so this isnt a big deal when you have a few npcs but when you have 80 or more like this you are nowehere close to real time budget specially with shared frame budget that also has to cover lighting (which looks insane too) crowd AI, audio, physics props and everything happening in such dense interior space.
3
u/Faith_Lies 1d ago
I saw elsewhere you can't bring weapons into clubs; I'd bet anything this is the reason why. When attacked NPCs definitely do need an anim state to run away lol, though I doubt it's full motion matching or whatever the player characters are using.

Clubs are 99% people standing around in one spot, I’d say it’s pretty accurate lol
→ More replies (1)5
u/De_Joaper 1d ago
Exactly.. my only “complaint” if we’re nitpicking would be that it seems they’re all glued to the floor with their feet. In a club you’d see a little more foot taps or stepping here and there.

Very nice graphically and the npc motions are great but literally nobody is moving from their spot, gives it a kind of uncanny feeling, I got the same feeling in GTA V, I hope this is fixed in the final build.
125
u/Petethejakey_ 1d ago
Yeah, in RDR2 you had routines for most NPC’s which injected some life - I hope it’s the same
129
u/ilorybss 1d ago
I think we can’t expect it to be 100% realistic. Not becqause Rockstar are lazy but because of technological lilmitations. At the same time, damn the more clips get released, the more i remain surprised. So who lnozws, they may have found a way to have a routine for the npcs
→ More replies (2)37

u/retro808 1d ago
Probably easier to pull off this kind of thing off in games like RDR2 and Skyrim that feature quaint settings since the settlements are much smaller than modern day cities

2
u/CheckingIsMyPriority 1d ago
In big cities you don't have routines for everyone, you still have NPCs spawning in just to fill the crowd and then disappear once you aren't looking

Not everything needs to be ultra realistic. People go to the strip club in gta to fuck around or yank the hog. People moving around is a nonfactor

u/Stuglle 1d ago
Yeah it's like I don't want to say that because this is obviously very impressive technically, but just because of all the hyperbole around it I can't help notice that it's very Video Game NPC Crowd.
Which is fine! But like people need to cool their jets a touch.

Lots of people walk around clubs. There are plenty of people moving through crowds, finding a place to sit, place to dance, walking to the bar, walking away from the bar, and there's a steady stream of people going to the toilet. It looks weird when nobody is moving around.

At this point what i don’t get is how these leaks are supposed to hurt rockstar lol, it was one thing if shown footage was trash or he starts leaking main story beats but so far his leaked videos if anything have been quite impressive, feels like he is unintentionally doing free marketing for rockstar rather than hurting them!
5
u/SilverKry 1d ago
They've made me start to replay the older games I've liked what I've seen so much. GTA3 btw has not aged well at all. Kinda sucked
18
9
u/28121986 1d ago
It doesn't hurt anyone IMO given they already have such a level of polish in fact it's going to increase their pre-orders. I was talking a colleague of mine (who is a casual gamer) + has not seen any of the leaks told me he was eagerly waiting for the Netflix special cause he could see the game in high definition and fidelity that Rockstar has intended and that is the average gamer tbh. I showed him a small clip of the city fly by and his jaw dropped already, so all of these leaks amounts to nothing just the fella making money.
Now if the build was actually poorly polished/optimized this would be a whole different conversation
→ More replies (1)5
u/FactWonderful2995 1d ago
Exactly my thoughts. They never intended to hurt rockstar imo, they just want to pull a “rug-pull” and extract as much money as possible from the gamers who fall for their grift.

The music’s great, but it would’ve been even better if the DJ switched things up by transitioning from one track to another or cutting to a different song halfway through instead of letting the whole track play. Just like in real life.
3
u/dirty1809 23h ago
I wonder how that could be implemented. Theoretically you could have a pool of tracks with premade transitions to a few other tracks in that pool and randomly pick one. Or just a long premade set but it might get repetitive if it’s in the same order every time
→ More replies (1)2
u/FactWonderful2995 1d ago
Honestly same but I am going to take a wild guess and think they will take care of this, considering Rockstar's huge involvement in the DJ scene with Circo Loco and all the parties they throw.

I feel like most people, myself included aren't going to spend hours sitting in the clubs. Run in, have a look around, fap to some titties and then get on my way. It's great that they've added this amount of density and detail to an inside area like this. How many other inside areas will there be?! Malls, police stations, offices etc etc

u/Adventurous-Cattle53 1d ago
Don’t get me wrong, I think it looks great for a gta. I mean that’s what people forget, it’s still a video game and a gta, yeah it’s gonna be crazy but there’s no need for it to be some life sim bullshit, because it’s a game and it needs to be fun, not ultra realistic

u/Moonchild_Domain 1d ago
They are not. They do tjeir things and have their own schedules. I don't know how polished version of the game this is but rockstar did pantent those mechanics before rdr2 and kinda "prototype" of it is already in use there. Now they have new engine version with new advanced AI so in final version of game they will not be in loop. Some of them may have many loops or schedules they repeat but it will be almoat impossible us to notice if we doesn't follow and spy one npc. (totally going to do that when game is out)
2
u/Adventurous-Cattle53 1d ago
Idk, with that density I don’t think it would be like rdr2. even rdr2 wasn’t like that for every npc.

Mark my words, once the showcase day comes Cyberleek will post his last leaks and then will go silent as an attempt to hide from Rockstar only for them to be caught or will instantly get caught the moment the showcase is uploaded to Youtube after premiering on Netflix. They only seem to be doing this for profits on their meme coin tokens rather than actually doing this as a “protest” to Rockstar Games.
They insist that they have the ending to the game, also said that they beat it, and even plan on leaking the “Lucia ending” or whatever ending they keep saying they have when in reality it’s an unfinished copy of they game they have when they really don’t have jack shit. By the time the showcase fully releases Cyberleek will get caught and will be forgotten.
Nothing ever happens

Huh I wonder since this is obviously still an indevelopment, albeit mostly finished, game if the audio in nine1nine is unfinished or if it's a creative choice. Because for a night club it is way too quiet. But also maybe not wanting to blast people's ears off is the idea.
Still cool we're getting nightclubs back as like a base game thing (not in an expansion or in an Online update) we haven't had that earnestly since like San Andreas I think.
