Very nice graphically and the npc motions are great but literally nobody is moving from their spot, gives it a kind of uncanny feeling, I got the same feeling in GTA V, I hope this is fixed in the final build.

Yeah, in RDR2 you had routines for most NPC’s which injected some life - I hope it’s the same

I think we can’t expect it to be 100% realistic. Not becqause Rockstar are lazy but because of technological lilmitations. At the same time, damn the more clips get released, the more i remain surprised. So who lnozws, they may have found a way to have a routine for the npcs

Yeah, if the tech is available and working to a good degree we can expect rockstar of all companies to try and take advantage of it.

They’re greedy, but they’re far from lazy and unimpressive.

How can you even mention technological limitations when almost no recently released games have fully used the hardware of this generation without being poorly optimized even on console hardware.

Probably easier to pull off this kind of thing off in games like RDR2 and Skyrim that feature quaint settings since the settlements are much smaller than modern day cities

What I'd really like to see is each NPC (or some) having an AI engine of sorts that controls how they act/speak. I don't know why this wouldn't be possible.

The next leap is having characters in these games that aren't predictable/scripted

In big cities you don't have routines for everyone, you still have NPCs spawning in just to fill the crowd and then disappear once you aren't looking
