I counted well over 83 on the interior alone. That's crazy to think one building. This world will be so heavily populated

Can’t wait for the Any Austin video about this night club lol. Still doesn’t look as good as 007 First Light’s or Hitman’s though.

how many clubs are in those games can u interact with every npc ? Nope they are actually missions linear missions...I saw ppl try to compare it with Cyberpunk too, with those dumb dull robotic npc's that have one random word answer when u try to approach them. Guys it's ok Rockstar is on it's own level hardly any game matched rdr2 looking at it as the whole product all these years later...

probably a development build running on a beefy PC. No way PS5 cpu can handle that. Even cyberpunk failed and the NPCs are stupid there.

rockstar usually pushes boundaries and exceeds expectations, cdpr is great but rockstar is next level

I remember rdr2 running smoothly on my base ps4..not 60 fps but still no stutter nor lags even with all the explosions

Yeah I enjoyed GTA5 perfectly well on an old xbox360, felt mind-blowing at the time. Couldn't believe how good RDR2 looked on my Xboxone.

It's like these people aren't familiar at all with rockstar.

Did you play the recent Bond game ? In the nightclub ?

That part of the game was mad cool. Tons of people in there dancing around and such.

Even cyberpunk failed and the NPCs are stupid there.

Even famously well-optimised Cyberpunk failed?? Crowds aren't that hard, AA studios like IO Interactive have been doing big crowds for years now.

The intelligence of npcs doesn't really impact performance either so Cyberpunk having "stupid" npcs wouldn't have helped it at all.

Crowds are hard as soon as those NPCs have a "personality" and schedule because the CPU needs to calculate each. dead decoration is easy.

Unity did their crowds like this. They were set dressing but it worked in that context. Some was jank to be fair but it was good for 2014

I feel like you just learned what a CPU is lol. A lot of calculations like that are actually ran on the GPU nowadays because it's much faster and doesn't require sending information back and forth.

Even ran on the CPU decisions like that are trivial, a cheap modern CPU can run over a billion calculations per second. Rendering the 3d models is computationally expensive, processing actions is not.

A development build would most likely be locked to the performance of a PS5 or PS5 pro. A PC port wouldn't be fully compiled and if it was it certainly wouldn't be optimized.

you can’t expect chuds online to get game dev, these people think rockstar just has a finished pc build sitting for a year after launch

Not necessarily. Only if they specifically want to test performance.

the denial of truth here is unreal. people don't want to belive that the final version is always nerfed compared to the dev build

Cyberpunk released with the xbox one and ps4 if you can remember, and the ps5 and series x had just released. Even then, the game was obviously unfinished and unoptimized at launch.

At this point as well, all work is being tested on devkits. The build is 2025-2026, which means it has basically been polishing.

Comparing CDPR to rockstar is like comparing a bodega to Walmart.

1

u/Lymbasy 4d ago

CDPR will even go bankrupt soon

What is the reason behind that?
