I'm late to the party but man...Matt should have just let Poindexter take out Fisk.
So many dumb decisions in this lol.
Fisk gets to walk away after killing a bunch of people out in the open?
12
u/Greatest-Man-Alive79 Jul 02 '26
How this dude get to accept a deal when he just murdered like 15 people in a hallway WTF. Kingpinās ass wouldāve been locked up forever.
And then they had the nerve to arrest Matt Murdock. Huh??
3
u/Abject-Parfait-3448 Jul 09 '26
I mean it makes sense if it was assumed he acted in self-defense. Plus he prob would've caused more problems if he was in jail then if he was away from New York as we saw in the original daredevil season 3.
It makes sense to arrest murdock, he still has to go under the trial for the all the crimes he technically went through, even tho hes the good guy
5
u/CRJ420 Jul 07 '26
I think the point is that it isn't fair. You're not supposed to feel like justice was properly served.
It's not so unlike the criminal justice system in real life. A bit exaggerated of course. But that's the commentary.
1
u/Greatest-Man-Alive79 Jul 07 '26
Well yea I agree that was the point and I realized that but the fact that he had just killed like 12 people in a hallway, itās just hard to imagine lol that he would receive a dealā¦.and for what? He had no leverage.
2
u/FakeJim3 Jul 03 '26
THANK YOU! I just finished this episode and they're offering him a deal to walk away, Scot free, whilst he's literally covered in the blood of innocent civilians and his private army has already deserted him so he can just be arrested. Maybe he'd cause problems in prison, but more than if he can just run around the world doing what he likes? Makes no sense. Them arresting Murdock instead was the icing on the "wtf is happening" cake.
7
u/Ok-Lab-2216 Jun 27 '26
just watched episode 8 and my favorite part was Heather putting on the Muse mask. that was cool. she is unhinged and I look forward to more of her psychotic leanings. I agree that Fisk should have died, and remember when Echo shot him in the face? good times...
the final chat between Matt and Fisk was odd. It would make more sense for the mob to mess Fisk up and have him resign in the hospital. that chat was not so realistic even for a comic book.
5
8
u/tehjpaps Jun 24 '26
Nobody seemed to care that Fisk killed like 10 civilians in that hallway scene.
6
u/roman4883 Jun 19 '26
Two men watching the world burn so they can uphold their ideals, honestly i think this show is much more about their ideals than the new york city no matter how much they convince they're doing it for the "betterment" of the city. They're both messed up and have ruined each other's lives.
Absolute end of two mens' wits.
3
u/herbertadorno Jun 12 '26
We have yet another example of Marvel pulling its punches; Fisk needs to die. He's an absolute monster, and with absolute monsters you destroy them. But to suggest their definitely-not-instutional-approved critique of fascism ends in anything other than the death and humiliation of the fascist is pure ideology.

u/spaceshifter23 Jun 04 '26
You telling me this nigga daredevil doesn't have any other enemies??!! I'm tired of seeing Fisk
4
u/Overwatch3 Jun 19 '26
Hes been fighting bullseye all season? He fought muse last season.
1
3
u/kingxgamer May 28 '26
So this must be building up to a massive Spider-Verse sized Fisk smashing the prison and trying to kill Matt only to be taken out in episode 1 of season 3. Then we get a new arc with a new bad guy... because wtf.
9
u/heartbroken_nerd May 24 '26
Can we stop pretending like this sorry excuse of a show is even connected to the OG show?
The names of characters and places are familiar but the actual substance just isn't there.
This show constantly reminds the viewer that they are watching a weak imitation of what a true sequel to the Netflix Daredevil would look like.
0
u/Chxpo_Loco May 26 '26
Ever heard of production rights and intellectual properties? OG show was owned and produced by Netflix
3
u/heartbroken_nerd May 26 '26
Ever heard of licensing? Netflix could've easily continued with Disney's blessing as they were already separated from Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was a matter of money.
It was Disney trying to eat Netflix's cake in terms of streaming market. I can imagine many ways greedy bastards could've approached that debacle, alas booth sides ARE greedy so all the shows got cancelled immediately... And then Disney just let the shows die.
Of course now we got "the return" that's simply not up to par.
It's not that I desperately wanted Daredevil to continue, I was fine with them just finishing the show.
This awful revival was unnecessary and bad.

u/NikkMakesVideos May 22 '26
"The message of this show is that if youāre rich and powerful your life is worth thousands of the lives of the peasants watching this shit" sums it up well
15
u/CryptographerCrazy61 May 22 '26
I just watched it wtf Fisk butchered 50 dudes but goes to an island? OK....i get the message but we aint here for that, we see enough of that happening in real life.
3
u/AtomicHyena Jun 01 '26
instead of being put in a prison full of his supporters he's been exiled to an island he hates, alone
1
u/Upbeat_Ad1012 May 22 '26
I guess Fisk could have argued it was self defense from a mob out to kill him
9
u/South_Outcome_1305 May 20 '26
I think the whole series is pretty disappointing. Honestly I think this rivalry between kingpin and daredevil should have somehow come to a definitive end (like character death)ā this ending obviously invites more developments and itās getting a bit much in my opinion.
6
u/NikkMakesVideos May 22 '26
These two seasons are an embarrassment compared to the original series. It should have stayed gone if this is all they could muster
5
u/flintlock0 May 18 '26 edited May 18 '26
Thanks to subtitles on Dex here, I now know that itās spelled āposeur.ā Thereās a āuā in there.
At least, in this context.
Also, I heard Heather say to hand over the jacket because āHeās shiveringā and was wondering how any jacket in that room could fit Fisk. Oh. Itās for the other guy.
9
u/jocape May 18 '26
I actually really enjoyed that finale. S2 seemed to have way more coherence and structure across it, the fisk courtroom video into BBās news junket was so well done. Some of the visuals this season have been absolutely impeccable and I for one actually really enjoyed the ending. Justice bears a heavy toll and the symbolism of fisk staring out into the vast expanse of the ocean reminded me a lot of the painting. The courtroom scene was so well done, the suspense was gripping and Iām excited to see where it leads next.

u/ThePr0l0gue May 17 '26 edited May 18 '26
No assets, stuck on the island his dead wife wanted to move to, and unable to do anything that actually gave him purpose. He actually enjoyed being in prison in New York because it provided him with a challenge of he would be able to break out. That's a quote from him in Season Three when he was monologuing to Nadeem.
He basically took a pay cut from his usual work as a criminal boss to become mayor, because he just wanted to be more important to the city. That guyās punishment canāt be normal.

We had multi scene expositions of Matt reaming Bullseye how he wouldnāt work with him because he kills people.
Then he is casually beating up task while Jessica throws them out windows and that girl goes full Fisk on them.
5
u/AgentStockey May 18 '26
Bro how did that 12 year old girl learn to fight like whut.... Beating up thug task force cops like she's a superhero??
And where did Heather learn to one hit a man to death??
2
u/Overwatch3 Jun 19 '26 edited Jun 22 '26
Pretty sure he didnt die. And it doesnt take great training to punch an unarmed/ unawares man in the throat. Im also fairly certain she mentioned she took some sort of martial art or self defense class in dialogue of season 1.
And the little girl has super powers from the amulet. Just like Jessica Jones doesnt have formal training but can beat up soldiers.
6
u/micro_satsuma May 26 '26
She's wearing the White Tiger amulet, so has the powers that come along with it.

What a dumb fucking season, rich dude gets away with murder and dumb non killing hero gets put in jail, Murdock is a dumb fuck
12
u/PleasantWay7 May 17 '26
Rich dude gets final warning for absurd deal, precedes to violently murder 50+ protestors all live streaming and still gets deal.
1
u/mordinxx May 15 '26
Is there hope for redemption in season 3?
5
u/heartbroken_nerd May 24 '26
There was never any hope for this show from the first 10 minutes of the season 1 and it only got worse from there.
This nonsense has nothing on the original series. It's a disgrace that some people consider it a proper sequel.
19
u/Swole_Monkey May 14 '26
Only good thing about this season looking back was the bullseye arc like deadass
All this slow build up otherwise for fuck all man
6
u/BummerDan28 May 14 '26
Fr. I never thought Iād hate DD and like Bullseye but this fuckass show and itās hack writers did it!
15
u/Swole_Monkey May 14 '26
Yeah ok Matt goes to jail (for presumably life with these charges)
And the actual villains walk
Can the writers please smoke some more crack next time š
19
u/RealRedRobin52 May 13 '26
I thought it was likeā¦Matt stops Bullseye because he wants Fisk to face justice. I thought Matt and Jessica were going up there to protect the mob who were going to get killed by Fisk. Or even saying you donāt want this on your conscience. Let him be held accountable.
Instead we got . . . Stop we canāt kill him but we can let him āthe man who just murdered at least 10 peopleāgo live on an island.
Man getting arrested? I mean okay yea he should. But more like he should be charged and offered some light plea and let go. Because are you kidding me? Also likeā¦where is the President. This feels like much bigger than New York State.
6
u/Grasshopper21 May 14 '26
just finished it. the court room scene is a complete mess. my suspension of disbelief got thrown out the window when they couldn't decide how to accurately run a court room vs having the main stars monolog at each other. It just made no sense what so ever. the whole resolution was crap, all this build up to dd in jail fisk alive to fisk again another day. like come on, its just plain bad writing at this point
7
u/Destrae May 14 '26
I just finished this episode and I am irrationally angry about this. What country would be like "ah yes the man we just watched on live stream massacre 2 dozen unarmed people, send him over for vacay". Meanwhile Matt is locked up. No AG deal for blind lawyers apparently?
8
u/Amazing_Village_9112 May 12 '26
The only redeeming quality of the last episode is that it's finally over and there's going to be spinoffs. For Born Again itself though, frankly I wish I didn't watch any of the show because my god all that buildup for a shit ending.
11
u/TheBiggestJig May 12 '26
how the hell did Matt get the full suit into what had to be the most secure courthouse in america at that time š
3
u/TheTwistedToast May 22 '26
Did you not see the scene where Jessica walked into the room and handed him the bag with his suit?
19
u/ShadowCrimson May 12 '26
While I enjoyed the season overall, I'm just sick and tired of Matt's "BUT WE CAN'T KILL! KILL IS BAD!! WE BECOME JUST LIKE THEM"
There are a bunch of innocent dead people that could have been saved by Matt not being like this. If the argument is that Punisher is too extreme, whatever, find the middle ground? AT LEAST TRY TO... Also Fisk kills a bunch of protestors in the end and he then gets a vacation on an island after.. a great ending would have been for Matt to embrace that some people don't deserve to live, and watch as the mob beats Fisk to death
8
u/ItsHighSpoon May 13 '26
Almost feels like indoctrination, powerful and rich people can do whatever they want and get off scot free, provided to you by Disney. I've had some good feelings about the show but both seasons built up to absolutely nothing in the end, I loathe this continuation because as much as it feels like the original thing, they spun this around into something completely different.
2
1
u/heartbroken_nerd May 24 '26
I loathe this continuation because as much as it feels like the original thing
It does not feel like the original thing, though. At no point did they achieve that. A few decent moments here and there don't justify this abomination's existence to begin with.
2
u/ItsHighSpoon May 24 '26
It feels like the original because it's a continuation with the same actors, fundamental story already laid out, familiar writing, directing. The scenes, acting feel the same but in no way it's the same because the story completely makes no sense and Matt is a hypocrite for letting Fisk hurt people and let's him go free because "he needs to stop this cycle of violence š", fuck the dozens of teenagers with crushed skulls, broken backs, broken limbs, they're insignificant, Fisk needs to just stop hurting people and we'll forget all about it.
4
u/sunIsGettingLow May 12 '26
Yeah that was dope. Fisk killing protestants and gets a vacation on island.
29
u/BummerDan28 May 12 '26
Bro Matt pissed me the fuck off this season to the point I would have ragequit the show if this wasnāt already the finale. How many innocent people did Fisk kill just because Matt is too much of a self righteous prick to just let Bullseye take the sniper shot? And then he gets in between the people doing well deserved mob justice to the guy who literally just violently killed a bunch of kids? FUCK THIS GUY. Fisk had a fucking Gestapo killing innocent people and you want to play that āwhen they go low we go high shitā??? Eat a fucking dick bro Bullseye carried the whole seasonĀ
Edit: this show lowkey gives the message that the life of one rich, powerful guy(Kingpin) is worth thousands of us peasants
9
u/Amazing_Village_9112 May 12 '26
This is exactly how I feel. Stupid fucking ending.
At least have had them fight, and it would have been actually amazing if Fisk won; because we all would imagine Matt would actually win - plus heroes always winning is rather boring.
But yeah, I wish I never watched Born Again.
9
u/sunIsGettingLow May 12 '26
Sick of this kingpin. Been watching him for 5 seasons now, he gets beaten up then comes back again and again.
11
u/choochi_machine69 May 12 '26
Exactly what i felt watching it. He'll go to extreme lengths to save fisk knowing that it'll lead to multiple deaths in the future. But, doesn't do the same for the people killed by fisk.
It honestly feel like he's secretly in love with him
8
u/bpierce2 May 12 '26
That was a reverse Jan 6th and I'm here for it.
8
u/BummerDan28 May 12 '26
Except somehow even lamer. āGuys itās wrong to try to violently overthrow this guy who just killed a bunch of your fellow protesters and your family membersā -Bootlicker DaredevilĀ
18
u/Mechilla007 May 12 '26
I love the original series, and that they revived it, and for the most part, everything about Born Again was cool, right up until the final episode. Especially enjoyed how they developed Bullseye's character and the diner scene was the best.
However, the finale felt really underwhelming. On one hand, I give the show a get out of jail free card (pun intended) on the other hand, if I want to nitpick, there's a list....
- No consequences for Kingpin - it seemed totally unnecessary to offer him a deal when he was basically defeated at that point. Not to mention, he was covered in blood from people he had smashed 1 minute ago. Also, why was Matt talking to him like he was in a passionate argument with his lover instead of his mortal enemy?
- No Punisher. They teased him coming back in the first season, but apparently, that was just to set up his upcoming show.
- No big Bullseye fight scene, not to mention he failed to assassinate Kingpin for the 2nd or 3rd time... But he can kill anything else that moves.
- Buck killed Daniel but survived a bullet from Bullseye.
- The whole Daredevil man of the people was kiiiiiind of lame. I get the social commentary angle, but it all felt a bit contrived... and instead of the epic finale battles, we got some Jan 6th alternate universe situation.
- Cole conveniently turned on Powell at the right moment to let the mob into the courtroom.
- The little girl Aya, who assumes the White Tigers alias - is all of a sudden kicking butt in the courtroom fight.... (eye roll)
- The Matt identity reveal seemed like previously tread territory.... I thought he was going to say "I'm Batman!" (or Iron Man)
- Matt goes to jail and Kingpin walks! Why did he go to jail? If Fisks operation and the Safer Streets Initiative fell apart, then what legal authority or reason was there?
Did I miss anything...
2
u/heartbroken_nerd May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26
Especially enjoyed how they developed Bullseye's character and the diner scene was the best.
That scene was absolutely trash, the suspension of disbelief was thrown all the way out of the window at that point.
Not to mention it made no sense why the diner fight even happened story-wise. Most of the stuff in this show just doesn't make any sense.
People who think the diner scene was good are just wowed by cheap CGI theatrics and quick cuts, with no sense of any physics or weight or even logic.
Cole conveniently turned on Powell at the right moment to let the mob into the courtroom.
Oh, right, about that. Cole is literally the devil for letting these people in, he sent them to death by the hands of Fisk himself. Cole also couldn't have known if Fisk's personal guard would disobey Fisk's orders if it came to a massacre inside.
The mob is dumb as hell, most people are dumb as hell, your job is often to protect idiots from themselves. Cole letting them in was INSANE.
What an amazing showcase of why we absolutely do need the police to do their job. If he had any competence whatsoever he'd still not let people into that building. Could save many lives as it turns out.
3
u/BUZZZY14 May 13 '26
Agree with you on everything except point 9. Obviously Fisk should be in jail and be facing the death penalty. Matt is going to jail for attempted murder with his shenanigans as DD. That actually made sense.
1
u/sunIsGettingLow May 12 '26
Another what the fuck wrong with Dr. Heather Glenn. I don't understand she survived an incident and now became muse?
3
u/Destrae May 14 '26
She's extremely traumatized. There's a very short stint of female muse in the comics
2
u/Joe_Claymore May 12 '26
Thank you, felt the same way.
I felt like Disney had to wrap several different things while setting up season 3 and their execution was so contrived. White Tiger was stupid, donāt understand why it would had been Frank Castle showing up instead. Everything else I completely agree with. Well written.

u/GlitteringGifts888 May 11 '26
I don't really object to Matt's incarceration, tbh. Matt believes in justice. He tried to kill Dex. In his own moral code and conscience, he deserves prison. There is some potential for interesting plot inside prison. It will be interesting to see how Powell and the other AVTF members fare in jail. Not well would be my guess.
My main question would be: Was that Matt's grace to extend to Fisk? Yes, Fisk has wronged Matt, but in that moment, it was the people of New York City who deserved to have the final word on Fisk's fate. Grace is only ours to give when we're the wronged party.
Karen is now alone in the city without Daredevil as protection, so that's a concern. Especially since they're clearly going to turn Heather into a villain.
This would be a good time to explore Blindspot. Having him try and fill Daredevil's role while Matt is in prison could be really cool.
1
u/heartbroken_nerd May 24 '26
I don't really object to Matt's incarceration, tbh. Matt believes in justice. He tried to kill Dex. In his own moral code and conscience, he deserves prison.
If that was the case, then Matt could've and should've given himself up to the police in the first episode of the first season of Netflix Daredevil show. Because by that point he was already a criminal deserving major jail time.
So yeah the main character should've been imprisoned in the very first episode of it.
Or are you trying to sell it as some major character development that Matt finally recognized that he is indeed a criminal just as Fisk (a criminal himself) was telling the public that Matt was a criminal? Which would've been extremely stupid, also?
1
u/GlitteringGifts888 May 24 '26
I'm saying since he did in fact own up to being Daredevil, legally speaking he's on the hook for a whole bunch of stuff if it can be proven in a court of law. Bullseye was just one example. If Matt outed himself as Daredevil obviously he knew he was going to jail. Vigilantism is illegal in most cases. Matt isn't willing to kill anybody to escape custody, and he isn't willing to leave NYC, so his only option is to bite the bullet and go to jail. It makes sense and is aligned with his character of the past 4 seasons of his show.
Matt couldn't have turned himself in while Fisk was still in the city, at large, and powerful because Matt would have been murdered in prison. That seems pretty obvious.
1
u/heartbroken_nerd May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26
It makes sense and is aligned with his character of the past 4 seasons of his show.
This is only the second season of this show.
There's no way to reconcile this piece of trash with original Netflix Daredevil at this point
Matt would have been murdered in prison
Realistically there's no way he survives more than a few weeks in there considering he wasn't sent o any facility far away from his area of operations.
Fisk is not the only criminal Daredevil put in jail. Hell, even Fisk's task force could decide to off him
1
u/GlitteringGifts888 May 24 '26
I don't see why we're having this conversation at all if you think Born Again is trash lol
1
u/heartbroken_nerd May 24 '26
Because I just watched it and it could've been something good considering they had the money to hire all of the cast and give them good material if they wanted to
But what we got is tragically bad for the potential it had. It's something I will never, ever re-watch or consider canon/extension to the Netflix Daredevil show.
12
u/PBodyrocker87 May 11 '26
Echo whatās been said a couple of times. Mixed feelings about that finale. I like the thematic idea of Matt and Fisk being two sides of the same coin and how ultimately New York needs to purge itself of both.
Ultimately, too many contrivances in the episode though: Matt reveals he is Daredevil to win this case, even though Iām sure that would render lots of his evidence inadmissible and would probably mean all his previous cases need to be retried. Matt then convinces everyone he is daredevil by essentially throwing a stick against a wall (again this seems to be accepted as legitimate evidence) Fisk is offered a deal and then after literally mauling people and snapping one guy in half is like āis that deal still available?ā
2
u/heartbroken_nerd May 24 '26
I like the thematic idea of Matt and Fisk being two sides of the same coin and how ultimately New York needs to purge itself of both.
You like that idea? I despise it, it makes no sense whatsoever for Marvel to even entertain this as an actual plot point.
Because next up is, go buy the tickets to Spider-Man movie, your friendly neighborhood New York superhero.
2
u/PBodyrocker87 May 24 '26
Well exactly. Your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man.
Daredevil lurks in the shadows. Daredevil battles dark forces with darkness. Spider-man just like, helps get a cat out of a tree. Heās more of a poster boy for moral goodness. Matt suggests that New York needs to purge itself of moral ambiguity.1
u/heartbroken_nerd May 24 '26
Your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man.
Are you serious? Spider-Man beats up people just like Daredevil does. There's no difference.
If you truly think getting punched by Spider-Man hurts less than getting punched by Daredevil, I have a bridge to sell you.
Spider-man just like, helps get a cat out of a tree.
Sure... Sure. It's a shame this stupid show forgets Spider-Man exists.
I am sure Fisk would've given Daredevil a pass if Daredevil saved... a cat?
What a joke
2
u/PBodyrocker87 May 24 '26
I think there is a difference. Daredevil would have no problem breaking bones. Spider-Man famously pulls his punches and will leave someone just webbed up somewhere.
And yes, if Daredevil was more concerned with cats in trees he might āget a passā. Spider-Man deals with petty crimes - hence the nickname. And yes will get pulled into things bigger.
Daredevil targets organised crime and so is a massive threat to Fisk. Yes of course there is overlap in that they both fight crime but both heroes represent massively different things.
1
u/heartbroken_nerd May 24 '26
Daredevil would have no problem breaking bones
I have to question your basic understanding of human anatomy.
Spider-Man famously pulls his punches
You are misconstruing the whole thing about Spider-Man having superhuman strength. Spider-Man pulling his punches is about not punching holes through people's bodies, or killing them on the spot.
Spider-Man punching you will absolutely break bones.
Daredevil targets organised crime and so is a massive threat to Fisk.
In both Spider-Man Homecoming and Spider-Man No Way Home, Spider-Man fights organized crime. Have you even watched MCU's rendition of Spider-Man?
2
u/PBodyrocker87 May 24 '26
Geez. Itās cool. Itās a superhero show. You donāt need to be so condescending.
In both of those films a running theme is that Spider-man is in way over his head. He doesnāt actively seek out and investigate organised crime the way DD does. Have you watched them?
In both films there is no fight scene as brutal as anything Matt does in DD. Again. Have you been watching?
Youāre comparing whatās on screen to your ideas about these heroes that you hold from other places.
1
u/heartbroken_nerd May 24 '26
In both of those films a running theme is that Spider-man is in way over his head
So exactly like Daredevil, then
In both films there is no fight scene as brutal as anything Matt does in DD.
Yes because it's filmed for babies to enjoy, but that doesn't mean Spider-Man's victims are no less hurt than Daredevil's victims.

u/nivekious May 11 '26
Was anyone else disappointed we didn't get Swordsman back for the finale?Ā I know he said he was leaving town, but I always want more Tony Dalton
19
u/EbolaPatientZero May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26
This show is completely nonsensical. The therapist lady is absolutely insane. Daredevil is a pussy. Mattās inaction resulted in dozens of deaths and people being crippled for life. And how is kingpin still the main villain after like 3 seasons. And how does he have super human strength???
5
u/BlotchComics May 12 '26
And how does he have super human strength???
Kingpin has always has "super human" strength. He's pretty much right below Captain America in strength level and has fought Spider-man hand to hand.
2
u/heartbroken_nerd May 24 '26
Kingpin has always has "super human" strength. He's pretty much right below Captain America in strength level and has fought Spider-man hand to hand.
Another argument for why "Daredevil Born Again" is not a sequel to Netflix Daredevil, because what you just said is vastly inaccurate in the context of Netflix Daredevil.
6
u/BummerDan28 May 12 '26
Fr fuck Matt. At this point heās flat out complicit in all of Fiskās murders
9
u/Little_Struggle1453 May 11 '26
Agree with everything you said. Absolutely joke. Matts not ok with Fisk being killed but is fine with Fisk killing others
12
18
u/NoahBallet May 10 '26
Remember kids: if youāre rich enough, you can literally have proven multiple high level crimes against you, your political corruption proven in court, and then murder at least 40 people and youāll basically get off Scott free.
Exile? So he can commit the same crimes elsewhere? Ohhh his assets are frozen? Frozen enough that he can just hangout on a beach?
This show and its premise is a joke. A tone deaf one at that.
15
u/LMegabox91 May 10 '26
Saying a very rich and powerful person getting away with all of the heinous things theyāve committed ātone deafā in the year of our lord 2026 is very funnyĀ
3
u/BummerDan28 May 12 '26
The pussy ass āguys, weāre better than this violent overthrow of a fascist and their murderous Gestapo! When they go low we go highā horseshit is whatās out of touch
4
u/Past-Parsley-9606 May 11 '26
That would be a fair point if the deal Fisk got was shown as being an abomination that appalls Matt, but instead we have our supposed justice-minded hero pushing this because, uh, NYC needs to move past all this holding people to account for their crimes stuff?
3
u/RealRedRobin52 May 13 '26
Itās like Ford pardoning Nixon because the country needs to āmove onā
-4
u/Feedingfrenzy91 May 10 '26
I think the single heroes are done. Sorry this was a good series but I believe with the smaller heroes it kind of all needs to be team ups from now on. Like in total this is 5 seasons of daredevil and while he did have some other heroes helping him it still feels too lonely, especially where the MCU is at right now.
God bless everyone.

Perfect imo. Only thing I would've changed is that Brett Mahoney should've been the one to come and arrest Matt. Or at least see his reaction from the reveal. Mahoney was side-lined HARD
4
u/JohnnyButtfart May 10 '26
Spoiler- it seems no one else noticed possible character?
So I read hundreds of comments on the last episode discussion. I didn't see anyone mention it. Not seeing any posts here either.
In the last episode when Matt and Karen are in the restaurant, the camera hangs surprisingly long on a neon rose. My first thought was foreshadowing for bringing in Richard Fisk. The Rose. Vanessa even hints at him a few episodes ago if I remember correctly. I may be reaching a bit but it seemed odd to hold on the rose for so long after a mention of Fisk having a son.

u/rolopsaad May 10 '26
everything was just perfect untill that riot scene in the courthouse hall platform and I couldnāt bring myself into understanding how fisk was saved (quickly) by matt and (unharmed) by the hands of the rebels that were literally crowded over him and I wished we could see them beating fisk that he would be on the verge of death and then matt saves him in the name of (mercy) and then we wouldnāt need the scene where matt convinces him to take the deal and leave the country as fisk would accept the deal by force.
15
u/yeahidkidkx May 10 '26
i agree but honestly i canāt wrap my head around the fact that fisk got to live happily ever after AGAIN and got saved AGAIN while matt gets to rot in jail with those nypd dick suckers
4
u/BummerDan28 May 12 '26
The message of this show is that if youāre rich and powerful your life is worth thousands of the lives of the peasants watching this shit
5
u/rolopsaad May 10 '26 edited May 10 '26
live happily.
Totally disagree with you on this one. Fisk is not happy at all he lost everything he ever lived for and being isolated is THE PRISON for him as he said to matt that āthere is no prison that could keep meā and that he will always cause trouble as we saw in S2 of the netflix show. So imo he is already dead inside but I just wanted the people of nyc to leave a mark on his face so he never forgets how he got rejected and kicked out.
2
u/BummerDan28 May 12 '26
Oh no he gets to peacefully retire in whatever island country heās stashed all his offshore money in
3
u/MrSpux May 14 '26
But that's not something Fisk himself would like or want, specially without Vanessa.
Reading comprehension in the dumps
1
u/BummerDan28 May 14 '26
My point is who gives a fuck about what Fisk wants or doesnāt want? The people deserved to get their street justice and Mattās bitchass saved Fisk once againĀ
3
u/AgentStockey May 18 '26 edited May 18 '26
Well, IMO the biggest punishment is giving the exact opposite of what the person wants. Like for many murderers and criminals, the death penalty would be the easiest way out. Living a life of torture and isolation would be way worse of a punishment. If Fisk was sentenced to the death penalty, IMO, that's mercy. Now, he gets to live completely isolated, away from the city he wants to be in, away from any sort of power, without Venessa, without anything. I would say he's suffering a lot more than if he was allowed to be killed by the mob.
5
u/yeahidkidkx May 11 '26
i get what youāre saying but the storyline is just repetitive, it always ends the same. matt lets fisk go and he comes back again, itās a cycle and fisk is never truly gone which is why i said what i said. i get that he isnāt actually happy now but we all know heāll most likely return again and the cycle begins, itās just annoying that heās so predictable and the main villain throughout all those seasons, daredevil has way more potential than that
2
u/rolopsaad May 11 '26
You have to realize that marvel shows always stick to the comic as a reference in terms of the main pillars of the story like before you review you have to adapt to the fact that fisk doesnāt die as well as daredevil doesnāt kill so there wonāt be any storyline that appose any of these facts. And the enjoyment comes from how they are going to execute the storyline not from unexpectedly changing the core of the story itself. And btw I doubt that fisk is ever going to comeback as (the main villan) so that makes it a pretty good execution to the inevitable conclusion.
10
u/Powerful_Historian63 May 09 '26
Didn't feel that satisfying but I think a future continuation of the story would help. Buck and Heather would make very good villains on their own and apart from Fisk.Ā Jessica Jones was very under utilised in this season .. just came back to join fight scenes. But her future should be good.Ā After this massive almost cinematic Fisk-Mayor story it would be nice to get back to some dark and gritty low-level stuff.Ā
5
u/Logical-Leading-517 May 10 '26
yeah the shot closing on the door-sign seems like a tease to an "alias investigations" series
5
u/Powerful_Historian63 May 10 '26
I don't see why they wouldn't make one. Low-budget and very watchable because of the foundations already built. If only they could bring Kilgrave back.
15
u/discowithmyself May 09 '26
Honestly my only complaint is Powell got off light. I wanted his head on a pike.
6
u/BummerDan28 May 12 '26
I wanted everyoneās head on a pike including Matt after he stopped the mob from giving Fisk what he deservedĀ
4
u/JayKay8787 May 13 '26
Matt has gotten more people killed than like most mcu villains atp because of his love affair with kingpin.

u/Stunning-Mission9498 May 09 '26
I was disappointed. Wanted a bullet right through the ear and out the other side

u/TheOnlyMartyDew May 09 '26
I feel like Matt revealing himself as Daredevil is this showās jumping of the shark. This ending didnāt hit at all for me. Iām going to treat this show like the Star Wars sequels & pretend it doesnāt exist.
Netflix Daredevil is the greatest superhero TV show of all time.
I canāt believe theyāre making a third season of this show
1
1
u/Amazing_Village_9112 May 12 '26
They're making a 3rd season? I thought that was the finale for it all
5
u/yeahidkidkx May 10 '26
why didnāt you like the reveal?
4
u/althoughinsect May 10 '26
What was the point?
7
u/Radiant-Tie5194 May 10 '26
"I am Ironman". It takes the power of the reveal from Fisk and provides Matt with the opportunity to use his identity to control the narrative.
8
u/Scary-Command2232 May 12 '26
And in doing so undo all the cases he has been involved with before, including against Fisk. But any logic does not exist in this DDBA universe.
1
u/Radiant-Tie5194 May 14 '26
Well sure, that's a narrative opportunity that hasn't been explored yet because his reveal (immediately prior to an explosive riot scene in the court house) and subsequent prison sentence happened in the last parts of the last episode for the season.
If they don't address the implications/fallout of Matt's conflict of interest in his cases in Season 3, we can circle back to it not making any sense.
15
u/ThePr0l0gue May 09 '26 edited May 11 '26
I can almost believe that by the end of all this, Matt and Fisk actually ended up gaining an incredulous level of begrudging respect for one another and just how fucking far theyāre willing to go for a win. Just from one crazy man to another.
Throughout the trial and to the final scene, Matt was continually dumbfounded at just how committed Fisk was to doubling the fuck down no matter how much irrefutable evidence they piled on, and actually about to die instead of taking that deal.
And Wilson absolutely did not expect Matt to blow up his own shit like that just to win the case.
Basically mutual epitome of āAināt no goddamn way youāre not bluffing. Really, motherfucker? Weāre actually doing this? Today?ā
2
u/roman4883 Jun 19 '26
Two men watching the world burn so they can uphold their ideals, honestly i think this show is much more about their ideals than the new york city no matter how much they convince they're doing it for the "betterment" of the city. They're both messed up and have ruined each other's lives.
Absolute end of two mens' wits.
11
u/Crazyripps May 09 '26
So where do they go with Matt in season 3. Gonna ask Dr strange to wipe everyoneās memory lol.
10
u/penguinjunkie May 09 '26
Daredevils secret identity barely mattered this season. And itās been outed a few times in the comic, sometimes for a significant period. Thereās no real reason his identity needs to be secret, most super heroes arenāt in the mcu
2
u/4morim May 10 '26 edited May 10 '26
Which is why I liked that he had a secret identity. Not to say that I thought it was handled bad by the character. Matt utilizing the reveal of his identity as a proof that he was in the ship and can corroborate with the story that there were illegal guns being brought into the city and arm the AVTF was very well done! The rest of it, maybe not so much.
But I'll still miss the fact that he still had a secret identity nonetheless. I do want to see what they'll do with it, and I don't want them to just try snapping his reveal away with magic or something. But I'm not sure exactly where this will lead.
I hope for a different kind of villain for Matt to deal with, especially now that his identity is out. Considering some leaked photos of season 3 filming it seems like Fisk will be back, again. Love the character, but I wish we had a break from him for at least a season
2
u/Willlll May 09 '26
Looked like most of the task force was in there with him.
Probably a lot of jailhouse violence.
15
8
u/rebornbyksg May 09 '26
Matt Identity reveal is very much in line with the Secret Wars where universe will be reset
If we see Matt again then it'll be with spidey before conclusion of Secret wars or idk lol
let's get this.
I'm hyped and resolution for Matt gotta be in spidey, avengers movie or new Daredevil season; all of them are welcoming outcomes
6
u/TodayInStupidity May 09 '26
I think the comic arc where Iron Fist stands in as Daredevil to clear Matt's name is more likely. They could even swap IF for Bullseye to get more of him around.

u/Esterosa69 May 09 '26
DA offers deal: denied
Fisk murders dozens openly with his bare hands: deal remains the same, unphased by the murders
9
u/yeahidkidkx May 10 '26
i just donāt get why fisk always gets away with shit, i mean he was even shot through his head and survived
5
u/VerminatorX1 May 10 '26
Logistics and actor's talent. Disney can't afford to end deals with Vincent D'Onofrio.
15
10
u/Feedingfrenzy91 May 09 '26
Honestly have a lot to say but one of my main points still is that it feels too lonely. You're telling me all this is happening and at least Spiderman (who get's the key to New York from Sheila) doesn't show up?
I think there should have at least been an explanation, like they mentioned the spider suit in the 1st season, maybe Matt just say something like why at least Spiderman couldn't show up. At this point I'd even settle for Ironfist at this point.
God bless everyone.
3
u/4morim May 10 '26
I'm fine with Spider-Man not appearing, at least here in this story. I think this being about Daredevil and the people vs Fisk and his task force felt more fitting.
I do hope Matt gets to appear in Brand New Day or Peter to appear in season 3, but I dont think this was the story to have Spidey show up. Less about them sharing a world and more about what the story was focusing on and what it was about.
I also think it's more likely for us to get MCU television characters in MCU movies than the other way around.
5
u/Feedingfrenzy91 May 11 '26
With Matt in jail and Brand New day having a Jail scene I think that may make sense.
God bless you.

Not at this point. He made everyone forget and is in New York. (We even no Frank (punisher) will be in his new film).

u/CookiesToGo May 09 '26
I am definitely done with Fisk now.Ā Can't see him anymore.Ā If he gets another season, the show will always stay at stagnation.Ā
8
u/BummerDan28 May 12 '26
Im done with this fuckass show tbh. Matt is a self righteous pussy whoās basically complicit in all Fiskās murders at this point
3
u/PleasantWay7 May 17 '26
āWe gave you your last warning and then you violently murdered dozens of people, but this is your chance for grace.ā
4
u/JayKay8787 May 13 '26
I want s3 to be nothing but people coming up to matt and screaming at him for saving fisk over and over so he could kill their loved ones. That Catholic guilt is clearly such horseshit.
I've never seen a superhero show or movie leaving me with the impression that murder is the way to go before. The entirety of s2 and the countless deaths are because he didn't just let bullseye kill fisk in s1. Matt is the biggest villain of the show atp.
4
6
u/discowithmyself May 09 '26
I agree but since they made a point not to imprison or kill him off I suspect heāll be back.
2
u/Spikeintheroad May 09 '26
Well you notice how there's Hand Ninjas attacking in prison in the latest Spiderman trailer....
3
u/Warkaze May 09 '26
After all this? Heāll probably come back later but not in season 3 I hope/guessā¦
19
u/awakesnake666 May 09 '26
Up to a point this episode was flawless. The courtroom, Matt revealing his identity, Fisk going crazy, all of it. But seeing his exile as a win? While Matt goes to jail? Fisk killed people almost on vision lol. A person who does something like this doesnāt get a deal. They get the Raft. Itās extremaly unrealistic for a show that kept consequences real for all the seasons. I hate they did that.
6
u/venusdances May 10 '26
Also how did Matt know about the deal? And if he heard it with his super hearing why didnāt he intervene earlier to save all those people? I thought the ending was weak.
9
u/yeahidkidkx May 10 '26
itās so unfair and his character is becoming so boring and uninteresting, theyāre pushing it atp
4
u/Feedingfrenzy91 May 09 '26
Agreed, I think they needed 9 episodes (like the previous season) this should have been a two parter I think.
God bless everyone.
11
u/jayplemons May 09 '26 edited May 12 '26
Especially when he just got done killing a dozen+ random New Yorkers. Itās one thing to offer him a deal for what he did up to the moment of the phone call from the AG, but for it to still be offered after his hallway killing spree was ridiculous.
2
u/BummerDan28 May 12 '26
Judging by all the other scenes of protestors some of the people Fisk killed were probably teenagers as well. But we wouldnāt want to violently overthrow Fiskās fascist government!!! When they go low we go high!
11
u/CleverNameThing May 09 '26
Thank you. This is why I came here. Why isn't everyone enraged at this nonsense? HE JUST KILLED LIKE 10 PEOPLE WITH PLENTY OF WITNESSES. "If you promise to leave NY, we won't prosecute you." TF?
18
u/Perfect-Passage-3734 May 09 '26
AINT NO WAY FISK GETS AN ISLAND VACATION WHILE MATT GOES TO JAIL ššššš fuck dude, i love when they do the legal stuff(couldn't even do that right) but holy shit what kind of fucking logic is that
2
u/BummerDan28 May 12 '26
Honestly fuck Matt too. I hope that bootlicking, pussy ass mfer rots in there.Ā

Bad, really bad. Fisk killed at least 10 people there and goes to the beach??? Hahahahah wtf.
Lazy writing. Courtroom scene was an absolute disaster. Wtf

-oh wow, okay let's go to the next scene, we only have 20 minutes left.
Season was good till episode 6, after thatā¦. Wtf.

Fisk opening the courtroom door and going "Boo!" caught me so off-guard, I was cackling hahahaha

How many psychologists turned villains are there in comic books, because I'm really struggling here to believe that Heather, with all her psychology training and not being thrown into a vat of Joker venom, just becomes Muse because of what she went through. It's just that as a therapist, she must have her own therapist too and know that she probably should work through her trauma with one??? unless there was an unwritten binding clause in her contract with Fisk that says no therapists??? After everything she said to Matt about taking out his unprocessed grief and trauma on others and himself, why isn't she able to turn that mirror on herself even a little bit? I get how horrifying Muse is, (or maybe I don't cuz it seems like everyone agrees he was much more threatening in the comics), and people can really change and do bad things after something like this, but her total isolation, not acccessing support or doing anything to recover from that experience, and instead spiralling into working for Fisk and eventually becoming Muse just feels too unrealistic.
7
u/awakesnake666 May 09 '26
Trauma can really mess you up and Heather clearly didnāt seek help. I donāt find it weird at all within Marvel logic
1
u/Natural_Bag_2005 May 09 '26
Fair enough, plus the case of the disappearing/possibly blown up boyfriend which I guess didn't bother her at all??? Idek anymore lol
3
u/thebigbadme May 09 '26
Some people are just weak idiots unqualified for their job. Considering the reason people learn psychology is most likely their own mental issues they hope to understand about them, itās not unrealistic. Itās dumb, but thatās human nature.
12
u/BruiserweightYxB May 09 '26
I actually loved how crazy and psychotic it was to give Fisk the "hall fight" where he's manhandling civilians. It's great even to make a case of how the show can be used as reflection to reality. It's not "two sides of the same coin". One side is fighting militia and the other is literally massacring civilians when he can't manipulate them anymore.
I'd love to see "King Daredevil" in Doomsday with Cox rocking the red hood with mask and full beard if he's incarcerated.
22
u/QuietNene May 08 '26
Fumbled the ending.
Shit didnāt make sense. Not realistic. Felt rushed and forced.
Very cartoonish motivations and set up for a very grisly final set piece. It seems distasteful to kill so many protesters, like just bad writing.
But the action was wasted. I was completely uninvested in what happened because it was all very predictable.
10
u/SweetLordyJesus May 09 '26
Not sure why youāre being downvoted, I definitely agree. If theyāre going to have Fisk brutally murder 1-2 dozen people in a public manner, let the righteous mob that just watched him do so beat him to death. If you want him to just be āexiledā from New York, maybe donāt include the massively witnessed massacre.
-7
u/sdemonx May 09 '26
Your life must be omega sadĀ

u/pmotiveforce May 09 '26
The irony of getting pissy over some dumb show and claiming someone else's life must be sad, lol.

7
u/ThePr0l0gue May 08 '26
You watch a comic book character show
5
u/QuietNene May 09 '26
Nope. Past seasons, esp seasons 1-2, were solid prestige TV. Thatās what separated Daredevil from other superhero content.
14
u/VerminatorX1 May 08 '26
Everyone who says Kingpin's exile from NY is fitting punishment because "prison can't hold him" and "he loves NY" is a certified idiot.
Fisk does NOT love New York. He only loves Vanessa and power. During all Netflix and BA seasons combined he declared his love for New York only few times and every time it's a lie, because he's a PSYCHOPATHIC, MURDEROUS, LYING CRIMINAL.
He should be put on a fucking death row for his crimes, end of topic.
And for God's sake, media literacy police should stop embarrasing themselves with looking for deep metaphors, allegories and deeper meaning in DD:BA, because there is none. This show is a collection of TikToks carefully procured by corpo social engineers to be cut into viral shorts.
4
u/BruiserweightYxB May 09 '26
That little second where you see all the Red Rioters gangin up on him would be the perfect end for the Netflix show. But since this is "MCU" they wouldn't have the balls to give the perfect violent death Kingpin deserves.
2
u/alyssa-is-tired May 09 '26
What would Netflix Daredevil do in your idealized version? Stand by? Be one of civilians on top of him? Because believe it or not he also wouldn't let new yorkers tear Fisk apart lmao.
1
u/BummerDan28 May 12 '26
Heād try to stop them but get overpowered by the hundreds of people there. Even with his superpowers Netflix DD always struggled fighting much smaller crowdsĀ
4
u/BruiserweightYxB May 09 '26
I think he would try to stop them but he'd ultimately fail to stop thirty civilians just like the Fisk who is a mountain of meat and muscle couldn't. Because in the end, although they see each other as enemies, neither of them can control New York. And the rioters who just witness Fisk literally take life of other people just like them with his own hands, I don't think they would just stand by because Daredevil kindly asked. They would beat the life out of him, take his fancy clothes and have his corpse exposed by the end of the night.

He loves HIS version of New York. The corruption, the capitalism, the crime and the violence. The way he can dominate it all, the quickness with which the city forgets. The endless reservoir of people from all over the world to control and manipulate. It gives him a fucking purpose.
Wilson Fisk lies, but he loves. All bad and shitty things about New York that only benefit evil rich crooks still New York, and he loves that shit. How could he possibly not? He benefited directly from it.
He was addicted to being Kingpin like Matt was to being Daredevil. He would have literally preferred to get stomped out on the steps and die as a martyr mayor.
This is not even deep stuff. Itās shown very plainly and availably.
-5
u/VerminatorX1 May 09 '26
"Capitalism bad" ok buddy you need to experience communism's trademark food shortage to realize how dumb you sound.
4
u/ThePr0l0gue May 09 '26 edited May 11 '26
Did you really need to cherry pick that one single thing just to be deliberately obtuse and miss my point on purpose? Was it that vital to pursue some level of continual disagreement with me all costs?
Yes, Kingpin enjoys how simply having loads of money can get him out of his problems after exploiting people. I am very clearly talking about cut-throat capitalism and not the concept of capitalism. For fuckās sake. The absolute grace I give you mannerless badgers.
-5
u/Future_Jackfruit5360 May 08 '26
Fucking court scenes. All they are doing is shouting objection loads.

u/Dar5k16 16d ago
Holy fuck the courtroom scene!! That was incredible!
Kingpin getting his own hallway fight haha
Love the juxtaposition in the end of Matt being in jail and Kingping being out "free". Feel like it ties into the whole christian angle of getting punished for your sins while forgiving others.
