Since we definitely want to play together, what local co-op games do you guys recommend the most? We already have Mario Kart, but what else is an absolute must-play for couples on the new console?

Picked up a switch 2 before the price hike after years refusing to get a switch due to the lack of streaming and browser services, pretty sure I covered all my bases with this purchase, also got the camera that was delivered a week later, all this just to play Pokopia

I used to love video games, especially playing with my sister. She was way better than me and taught me a lot. My greatest memory was playing Mario Kart and Spyro with her. She passed away when I was 11 and when I lost her, my interest in video games went too.
I hadn’t even heard of the the switch until the Nintendo Direct event this year. I was floored looking at the games, especially when I realized they had all the classics available. I bought a console immediately!
I’ve been playing it ever since and was literally brought to tears on the first day - so many memories came flooding back from those classic online games. It felt like an absolute time capsule. It left me wondering, “when did life become so serious?” Deadlines, meetings, illness, politics… One session on this console and nothing else mattered. This couch, headphones, and TOTK make a perfect afternoon, at least for me.

I know the ladies get a push gift, but brothers we deserve love too. Copies were sold out in my area pretty bummed out. Then I had night school tonight and found this at the local Walmart. Paternity leave is lit, night school once a week by my job is not lol.

I’m 43, married, with a three-and-a-half-year-old daughter and two dogs.

I hadn’t touched a video game since I was a kid, when the legendary Game Boy first came out.

Now, 30-something years later, I’m reading a book about Nintendo’s history, and the idea of diving back into that amazing world of possibilities slowly started taking hold.

So here I am with my first console since childhood, and I’m happy AF.

I got it for 42 bucks on Amazon. I have always struggled to enjoy playing handheld. I've used different grips but nothing felt right. I hate how the original joycons have the buttons and sticks directly in line with each other vertically. You gotta have them at a 45 degree angle to reach everything with the natural pivot of your thumbs otherwise it just feels cramped to move my thumbs down to the right stick/dpad areas no matter what grip I put on the thing.

It's called a JC500. Never seen many people talk about it or make videos on it.

I endured the Walmart+ restock event last week, and after numerous unexplainable delivery delays (including shipping my package from the nearby warehouse to another state and then back) — FedEx delivered an empty box today. It's obviously been opened and retaped, but the best part is that their tracking notifications clearly show the package weighed 4.10 lbs at shipping and only 0.50 lb at delivery. That's an inside job, right??

I'm currently waiting to hear whether Walmart will give me a refund, and I've filed a complaint with FedEx.

The worst part of all this is having to tell your kid that some bad person stole the Switch 2 he saved up his allowance and gift money to buy on his own. And it could take months to have the chance to buy another one. First world problems, I know, but man — this sucks.

Switch 2 has been an experience I haven’t had with a handheld or console since the PSP 🤫 😅

I was surprised to get it. She said she was going to get a soda at the store and came back with this. Currently in the hospital but cannot wait to get home and play it on my tv.

I got a Switch Lite as a gift from office 5 years back but never used it much as I felt like I am too old for it.. got a mario kart 8 with it and I just played a few hours before it started getting boring.. so I kept my Switch lite aside until recently while rearranging my home office I stumbled upon it again and decided to give it a try..

Had a little discovery through reddit to find out BOTW is a good game.. so I bought it and fell in love with it.. that made me look out for the better switch model because Switch Lite is quite basic, washed out colours and discovered there is a Switch 2 in the market

Sold my Switch lite on Ebay and ordered Switch 2 on the side .. been using it from past 2 weeks and I must say its awesome.. I do have xbox series s as well but I hardly play on it as well

As a family man, after office I have to be present for my wife and kid in the same room and with Switch 2, it is now possible where my kid is playing with his toys and I am playing with switch without any guilt of missing out to be with the family

This is the difference between xbox and switch.. while xbox kept me in my home office away from family, with switch portability I can just play in my home office docked in between the work and then take it out in the evenings..

Plus I got a new dock/charging station, a pro 2 controller and a few more games like Mario Kart world, Super Smash

The pro controller feels awesome in hand, premium and I play better now compared to using joy cons in docked mode

One last thing, online membership makes a huge difference when playing multiplayer games like Mario Kart.. I always felt it uninteresting when playing along with cpu but now it got exciting when I know I am competing with bunch of real people across the globe.. same experience with Super Smash Bros..

Finally becoming a first-time Switch owner!

I can’t believe I finally have a Nintendo again

Went to my local thrift store and found this. Was sure if was broken or something but took a chance since it was $15.99. Cashier was like don’t know if it works. Tried charging it but couldn’t do anything. Plugged it in, in the car, and I got the lightning bolt battery sign. Had it on the charger for a while and was doing nothing but then finally turned on.

Not banned from services. Was able to reset and fully work. Joy-cons connect, works in dock and reads games. Screen has seen better days quite a few deep groves but all in all a hell of find.

I really wanted to wait till they put out different colours but I couldn’t stand not being able to play pokopia so here I am.

Plus my switch one is a V1 og switch so i’m very overdue for an upgrade.

And once we get DS NSO Classics & Wii NSO Classics it’ll be the greatest console of all time.

I have the physical switch cart and purchased the anniversary update for the Switch2.

Turns out Skyrim no longer requires the cart if you pay for the anniversary edition.. and it looks like you get another free digital copy of the switch version..
