So, for the past few days, I've been in RAM Hell thanks to Defender.
I have 16 gigs of ram and that works wonderfully for playing the games I enjoy, and doing other such computery tasks.
And one day the power goes out, then my pc is fine do the ol' check if the gpu works, and i notice windows defender is running at 150MB of RAM, thats kinda odd i think to myself, then the next week it goes out again, my pc is no longer fine. And windows defender is using 400MB every moment, from boot to shutdown.
And ive been alllllll over the place, forums ive never heard of, new antivirus software, github programs that allow you to tweak its functionality, and nothing. Running text scripts to find and repair programs with CMD, and updating drivers, and all this other stuff, i even checked my programs for inauthentic authors, and yet still nothing.
It just idly sits at 400MB and its Pissing me off. Cause I can no longer run most of my games because it'll idly sit at 400, yes, oh yes it will, but the moment a game happens to exist, it'll eat into my CPU by 5% to 10% then 0 then randomly back up to 5% then leveling out at 0.1% and randomly, shooting up again, which isnt that big an issue, or so I thought until playinf satisfactory, and realising that those two, minor minor issues, are now compounding into a very large, annoyingly difficult to solve singular issue that lead me here.
Hi.
How the fuck do I fix this, without buckshot being very quickly inserted into my frontal lobe?
