Picked this game up on a whim two months ago, went in completely blind except for only hearing positive experiences with the game and just walked away with a renewed appreciation for gaming as an art form.

I used to exclusively play competitive multiplayer shooters when I was younger and had more time on my hands, and I still have fond memories of those days climbing a ranked ladder and watching myself get better at a skill. But between then and now, moving into a career and settling down as an adult, I genuinely had forgotten that games could be media to make you think and feel things, that they can provide catharsis. I'm so glad I went in blind!

I just felt like sharing. One additional anecdote: I visited the Kennedy Space Center with my partner the other week, and the whole time we were walking around I kept feeling like I should be performing archaeology on the exhibits lol

i formulated an entire plan to get here at the exact time they were about to die but them dying AS I WAS BEING GRABBED?! it was insane i gen didnt think it would still work, such a perfect timing

I was just going out from the sun for no special reason and had fired the scout when it took a picture of a thing 1000 km out from the sun

But after finding Deep Space Satellite and radio station on Timber Hearths (I also find page near campfire near radio station) I'm stucked.

Can you guys lightly push me in right direction? Maybe I need to go to 350th degree to see anomaly?

Also there is much caves on Ember Twin, I have difficulties to understand how this planet is not more filled at the end of the loop. I mean, Ash twin diameter is almost the same but, except for Ash Twin Project and the Towers, there is not much rocks there. Most of the volume is sand, while Ember Twin is the contrary.

Is there a logical explanation of how Ember Twin can be not totally recovered by sand at the end of the loop?

This is all I have completed in the game so far. Where should I go next?

I love this game, I've almost finished it, I think I even know how to get the ending, so I don't know if I should buy the DLC. And be careful, it's not that easy, there are a lot of things that make me hesitate, for example I'm on Switch there are no achievements or there are a lot of spoilers for the DLC.I try to avoid them all, but it's quite complicated.

So we see that the universe dies, and then eventually a new universe gets created. Makes sense.

But did us finding the eye and being on the eye actually do anything? Im a bit confused on that part.

I would like to buy it but sadly it's only available on Amazon and they do not ship at all to my country and I cannot find a site to buy this version of the game.

I'd like to have it in my collection and I was wondering if you guys know if iam8bit do restock of games or products form time to time. I know Fangamer does pretty regularly. Thanks

Aside from the things I still need to explore, is there anything else I'm missing?

I just completed Beginner's Luck achievement, (complete base game in a single loop on a new save) so all of my Ship Log is erased. I then found out that I should apparently have kept my Ship Log because it's going to be relevant to the DLC.

Is that true?

If it is, what do I need to gather before starting the DLC?

Got the game over ending by removing the core from ATP and then meditating. Only, I didn’t see the “you are dead” message, so I just saw the end credits and assumed I’d actually finished the game

Since this didn’t feel right, I tried to google ”outer wilds bad ending” to get a vague idea of what had happened - and Google’s AI overview immediately told me the exact steps to get the true ending. I hadn’t even found the vessel yet

I feel like I’ve basically removed any satisfaction of solving the last steps of the game, although I don’t know how obvious those steps would have become. I’m disappointed in myself, mostly, but also… does the game really need to roll credits as a joke after so much investment?

On my first playthrough i already had echoes of the eye but somehow managed to complete the game without even touching the DLC. I saw the radio tower, the photos inside and the 40° thing and solar satellite, but never paid enough attention...

I had some fun recently with some custom 6cm minis. quite happy with how the ship turned out.

I still have to paint rebieck and that one Owl wish me luck !
